Newsie
On April 22nd at the Seoul Central District Court, actresses Park Si Yeon, Lee Seung Yeon, and Jang Mi In Ae proceeded on to the third round of trials for the illegal use of the sleep-inducing drug propofol. During the second round of trials held on April 8, Park Si Yeon, last seen in the hit drama "Nice Guy," denied the allegations of propofol abuse, saying that, “Propofol was used as prescribed according to the doctor for the purposes of medical treatment.” Lee Seung Yeon and Jang Mi In Ae also claimed that they too “acted accordingly under the supervision of the doctor.” In particular, a request was submitted to the court for evidence concerning Jang Mi In Ae, veritably leading to an interesting third trial. Formerly, police had indicted, without physical detention, the three actresses on charges of suspicion of habitual propofol abuse. Furthermore, entertainer Hyun Young, who had initially faced charges together with the aforementioned three persons, has been summarily indicted for frequent propofol abuse.
