It has been announced that JYJ is currently making preparations to kick off their comeback in Japan with a brand new concert tour.
On October 17, C-JeS Entertainment shared, “This coming November and December, JYJ will be greeting their fans in Japan with the 2014 ‘JYJ Japan Dome Tour – Ichigo Ichie,’ which will open in Tokyo, Osaka, and other major cities. They are also preparing the release of a new Japanese single album.”
Through this ‘Ichigo Ichie’—or “once-in-a-lifetime meeting”—tour, the members are planning to carry out live stages with impressive performances, as well as show off their more mature and improved abilities and individual charms as artists.
This announcement is gaining even more interest especially because of the news that JYJ is gearing up to release their very first Japanese single album.
Following the 2010 ‘Thanksgiving Live in Dome’ and the 2013 ‘The Return of The JYJ’ dome concerts, this upcoming tour will be the group’s third time. This particular tour is meaningful to the members, as it will mark their official comeback in Japan, making it known that they will begin active promotions in the country.
The C-JeS Entertainment rep also revealed that fans in Japan continuously requested a dome tour as soon as the news of JYJ’s Asia tour was announced.
Meanwhile, JYJ is earning much attention from Japanese fans and local media ever since the reports of the tour and single album, and the members are busy getting ready to kick off another dome tour.

Hally idol group JYJ will make a comeback with a concert tour ahead of releasing a new single album.

The group will hold “JYJ Japan Dome Tour” in major Japanese cities in Nov.-Dec., the agency said.

This is their third concert in Japan following “Thanksgiving Live in Dome” in 2006 and “The Return of the JYJ” in 2013.

Under the theme of “Ichigo Ichie,” which means “the only encounter in lifetime,” the concert tour will show fancier performances than before. The members will also reveal new charms as artists.

Ichigo Ichie literally means “one opportunity, one encounter”．The terms is often translated as “for this time only,” “never again,” or “one chance in a life time.”
Its better translation may be “Treasure every encounter, for it will never recur.”
The term is derived from Zen Buddhism and concepts of transience, and it is particularly associated with the Japanese tea ceremony and it is often brushed onto scrolls which are hung in the tea room. In the context of tea ceremony, ichigo ichie reminds participants that each single tea meeting is unique that will never recur in one’s lifetime, therefore, each moment should be treated with the utmost sincerity.
It can be applied to one’s daily life, “all we have is today, so let’s live it to the fullest.”

Ticket Lottery in Japan and how it works

1. Official fanclub members usually have the priority to apply for tickets ahead of the publlic sale.
2. The ticketing will be done via lottery, which means you can either get the tickets or not. The seats are also pre-assigned and the ticket price remains the same wherever you are seated.
3. After the lottery results are announced, you are usually given a time frame to pay for your tickets. Unpaid tickets will be included in the public sale.
4. There will also be a public sale to give non-fanclub members a chance to grab tickets. You can usually buy them through convenience stores.
5. You can only know your exact seat when you go to the venue to exchange your ticket at the entrance.

JYJ members Jaejoong and Yoochun both boasted stylish looks wearing knitted sweaters at the movie premiere for the upcoming film “My Dictator” on Monday.

Jaejoong (OSEN)

Jaejoong showed up in a neat look, wearing a gray-toned sweater with black pants, matching them with sunglasses and black shoes.

Yoochun (OSEN)

Yoochun, on the other hand, wore a wine-colored knitted sweater with black slack pants. The singer seemed to aim for a relatively casual look, matching his outfit with sneakers.

JYJ members are currently preparing for their comeback with a single album. The group also plans to hold a “JYJ Japan Dome Tour” in November.

JYJ member Park Yoochun has scooped an award for his role in the movie “Sea Fog.” The film marked the star’s big screen debut.
The Korean Film Critics Association named Park Yoochun as the winner of the “Best New Male Actor” prize at the “34th Korean Film Critics Association Awards” on November 3. An awards ceremony will be held on November 13.
The critics seemed to be impressed by the JYJ star’s performance in the film, and were pleasantly surpised at how smoothly he has transitioned from a television actor into a movie star. As an actor, he has previously featured in TV dramas such as “Rooftop Prince” and “Miss Ripley.”
Indeed, despite the fact that “Sea Fog” has a strong cast that features the likes of Kim Yu Seok and Kim Sang Ho, Park Yoochun was adjudged to have very much held his own in the film.
“Sea Fog” has also been nominated for “Best Foreign Language Film” at the Academy Awards.

JYJ member and actor Yoochun was chosen as the “Best New Male Actor” by The Korean Film Critics Association Monday.

The prize was given for his big screen debut in “Sea Fog,” released in August.

According to local reports, the critics highly appreciated his performance as an actor from television dramas to films. Prior to his movie debut, the actor was praised for his smooth acting in “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” “Miss Ripley” and “Missing You.”

His acting also gained spotlight in the movie “Sea Fog” when he effectively portrayed his character along with other famous senior actors including Kim Yoon-suk and Moon Seung-keun.

SM’s shady dealings: Author confirms they forced JYJ out of new K-pop book Lizzie">Lizzie 03/11/2014
The author of a recently released book on K-pop has revealed that SM Entertainment pressured his publisher to remove references to JYJ and the TVXQ! lawsuit.
This came to light when one of our favourite bloggers, Oegukeen (who has previously written a guest post for us on inter-cultural relationships) wrote an in-depth review of Mark James Russell’s book K-pop Now!: The Korean Music Revolution’.
Like we (and other reviewers) previously noted, she pointed out that there were odd inconsistencies in the book in the way TVXQ! and JYJ were covered. However unlike those other reviews, this time the author took the time to directly respond to the criticism in the comments of Oegukeen’s blog.
Russell confirmed, as we had suspected, that this effective deletion of JYJ from K-pop history was the result of interference from SM Entertainment. He said:

“Yes, I agree with you about the JYJ/TVXQ issue. But, alas, that was not my call. SM Entertainment was quite adamant about how TVXQ was covered. Which is too bad, as I really liked Xia’s “Incredible” (among other songs).”
