@takugoro Hmm... perhaps my words sounded mean, but I was thinking about AK having this comical side by trying to appear grand, strong and all, but inside he's also a fragile guy (crying fits). So if the crying fits have evolved into death thoughts (because he's finally accepting reality and acknowledging his evil mean ways of survival), there could be hope for this character!

'King of Dramas' Has Clear Good vs. Evil Storyline

Viewers are wondering how SBS "King of Dramas" will draw the storyline of four characters.

Just like the title, the drama deals with the current state of making dramas and talks about how production companies have a lot of power over the material and they all compete to find a slot amongst the timelines for the three big networks.


The drama is appealing to the audiences by revealing the drama behind the drama, showing the viewers just how these television shows can be made. The fast storytelling is keeping the audience members hooked. 

Anthony Kim (Kim Myung Min) is a production company head who is incredibly driven and only thinks about success. His competition is Oh Jin Wan (Jung Man Sik) who has been holding animosity towards Anthony and will do anything to beat him.

It's interesting because both of them are not the "good guys" but they are still going head to head.

The "good guys" on the other hand, are also making way. Characters like Lee Go Eun (Jung Ryeo Won) and the network chief producer Nam Un Hyung (Kwon Hae Hyo) are good examples of these.

Anthony Kim is incredibly selfish. We see him fire Lee Go Eun once more because the network wanted him to change authors. After signing the contract with Kang Hyun Min, he tries to bribe the head of the drama department at the network. Nam Un Hyung sees this and tells him off.

However, Oh Jin Wan reveals information that leads to the arrest of the head of the department and Nam Un Hyung takes his place. Anthony Kim goes to find him and grovels, kneeling. It shows just how two-faced he can be to get his success.

Oh Jin Wan, on the other hand, had worked under Anthony Kim and hated him secretly. Now that he's the head of his production company, will fight Anthony Kim to try and get his drama on the air instead.

Nam Un Hyung is a chief producer with principle and very ethical. He also can be practical. He had been the voice of reason in weighing the two options.

However, he is not on anyone's side and there are those who don't like him within the network. No one had expected his promotion and the two others who were also in line for the position are going to probably be opposing forces as well.

Lee Go Eun is definitely the victim. She's inexperienced and completely green and all she has is her synopsis of the drama. She was originally rescued by Anthony Kim but then she gets fired by him again and her career is at jeopardy once more.

However, her passion is still there and she was seen applying for a competition, saying that she'll build her resume bit by bit.
