황지현은 “MC로 나서고 있는 KBS ‘불량아빠클럽’ 방송 중 한 출연자분이 ‘녹화 들어오기 전에도 전화로 사랑을 나눈 것 같다’며 놀렸는데. 그 말이 사실처럼 비쳐지면서 기사화됐다. 내가 하지도 않은 말들이 와전되면서 오해가 많았다”고 털어놨다. 또 “‘현빈의 연인’이라는 수식어가 붙게 된 것도 내 뜻이 아니었는데. 내가 일부러 유명해지려고 그런 것이라고 생각하는 사람도 많은 것 같다”며 속상해 했다.

현빈의 이야기가 아니면 으레 정다빈의 이야기가 나왔다. 지난 2월 자살한 정다빈과 절친한 사이여서 당시 사건 때 줄곧 빈소를 지키는 모습이 보여졌기 때문이다. 그런데 정다빈과의 사이에도 잘못 알려진 사실이 있었다. 황지현의 프로필을 보면 MBC ‘논스톱’에 출연한 것으로 나와 사람들이 ‘논스톱’을 통해 정다빈과 친해졌다고 생각하는 것이다. 황지현은 “다빈이 언니랑은 예전에 같은 소속사에 있으면서 동고동락한 사이여서 7~8년 전부터 친했다”고 밝혔다. 또 ‘논스톱’에는 다빈이 언니가 출연하기 전에 카메오로 출연했을 뿐이라고 설명했다.

그렇다면 현빈과의 열애설과 정다빈의 죽음 등 여러 가지로 마음고생이 심했을 그는 어떻게 힘든 시기를 견뎌냈을까. 황지현은 “부담스러운 일이 많았던 연초였다”고 회상하면서도 “지난 일에 집착하는 건 바보라고 생각했고. 앞날에 대해서만 생각해도 마음이 바빴다. 또 오래 고민 안 하려고 잠자리에 들어버리는 게 내 스타일”이라며 애써 웃었다.

현재 출연 중인 SBS 드라마스페셜 ‘마녀유희’ 덕에 힘이 난다고 했다. 황지현은 ‘마녀유희’에서 주인공 유희(한가인)의 푼수같은 친구 세라 역을 맡고 있는데. 엉뚱하면서도 깜찍한 캐릭터로 시청자들에게 눈도장을 확실히 찍고 있는 중이다. “좋아하는 일을 해서 기쁜데. 반응도 좋아 너무 즐겁다”는 그는 “사실 나는 세라처럼 엉뚱하고 귀여운 맛이 별로 없는데. 아무래도 드라마 복이 많은 것 같다”고 말했다.드라마 데뷔작이었던 SBS ‘돌아온 순애씨’에서도 완벽한 몸매를 자랑하는 스튜어디스 역으로 좋은 인상을 남겼다.

고등학교 때까지 바이올린을 배웠다는 황지현은 “언젠가 ‘푸른 물고기’의 고소영 선배님처럼 바이올리니스트 역을 맡아보고 싶다”는 바람을 내비쳤다.
