Ballantines side stated that Hyun Bin's taste, which is excellent due to his usual high interest in whiskey, and his genuine, progressive, and premium image as an actor were in line with the quality pursued by the brand, and thus he was selected as a model. 

Hyun Bin is a representative actor of today who has proven his acting skills and professionalism to the public by taking on various genres and roles from romantic comedies to action films for many years. 

The new campaign for Ballantines Single Malt Glenburgie contains the message, 'Time never waits for us.' It focuses on 'this moment' while expanding the meaning of Valentine's brand's unique slogan, 'Time Well Spent.' The campaign video featuring Hyun Bin will be released on the 30th. 

 

Ballantines Single Malt Glenburgie, which contains only the key malt 'Glenburgie' that plays a key role in the blending of Ballantine's whiskey, is also called 'the heart of Ballantine'. Pernod Ricard Korea announced on the 27th that it had selected actor Hyun Bin as the new brand model for the modern classic Scotch whiskey brand Ballantine's.

The legendary 'My Name is Kim Sam-soon' with its highest viewership rating of 51.6% is being remastered.  

On the 27th, Wavve announced that the first runner in the 'New Classic' project will be the MBC drama 'My Name is Kim Sam-soon' director's cut, which will be remastered in 4K for 8 episodes and released in full on September 6th.  There was a time when there was a story that compared the romance that is always present in Korean dramas, saying, "You fall in love while having surgery, you have a flirtation while working overtime, and you fall in love while catching criminals."
 

However, this characteristic has already become the strength that has made K-dramas a worldwide craze. This is because love is a common theme that everyone, regardless of age or gender, can enjoy, transcending national and cultural differences. The romance of K-dramas has evolved through variations in various materials and genres, such as time slip, thriller, fantasy, conglomerate, youth, and office, and has spread to global viewers. Even in the midst of the overflow of genres, the phenomenon of romance dramas that are popular enough to become syndromes are periodically born, which shows the power of the 'romance nation'. 
 

Among them, 'My Name is Kim Sam-soon' is a legendary masterpiece that is still included in the list of life romantic comedies that you want to watch again even 19 years after it ended. Sam-soon, who is sincere about her work (as a pastry chef), is honest about her feelings without loving anyone in vain, and knows how to cherish and take care of herself above all else, is still lovable even today.

 

Even when it was aired in 2005, it broke the aesthetic formula of "the female lead is pretty and delicate", and the lines that poured out her emotions instead of keeping them inside were refreshing, and many people still remember Sam-soon, who was confident and full of energy in front of the male lead who had everything. Wavve explains that they reconstructed the existing 16-episode drama into 8 60-minute episodes, editing out the side stories and focusing on the work and love story of Kim Sam-soon (played by Kim Sun-ah) and Hyun Jin-heon (played by Hyun Bin). The ending, which has a stronger 'hook' that makes you tap to watch the next episode, is also a 'new taste' that can be felt in the 2024 version.  
 

In addition, Wavve is currently carrying out the 'New Classic Project' in which the director of 'I'm Sorry, I Love You' and the main staff will remake the original work into a 2024 version. They have also prepared a package for the work that provides clearer picture quality by upscaling the existing content quality to 4K.
