Park Si Hoo won his legal fight with Hallyu contents company ‘A’.

Last year in August, company ‘A’ filed a lawsuit against Park Si Hoo and his former agency Didim531 for damage compensation. On 4 July 2014, the Seoul Southern District Court dismissed the case completely and ended the legal dispute which took about year. Park Sihoo has no liability of any sentence and he is totally innocent.

‘A’ had claimed that in September 2012, they had started to film a MV in Thailand that cost about 200 million KRW. They claim that the MV filming fell apart in the middle because of Park Si Hoo. ‘A’ demanded 300 million KRW from Park Si Hoo and his former agency. However, Park Si Hoo pointed out that there was no proper contract signed by both parties, and that the reason the filming stopped was because of the Thailand company.

Park Si Hoo also pointed out that there was no up front guarantee paid to him. He explained further that if the contact was signed then he should have been paid, which he did not receive it. Thus, he affirmed that he had no responsibility for the damages.

‘A’ responded that the contract had been agreed to verbally, and that they had also paid out 270 million KRW because of Park Si Hoo’s previous agency’s verbal affirmations.

The court decided, “All of the plaintiff’s suits are dismissed. The filing fees will be paid by the plaintiff.”

Park Si Hoo’s present agency Hoo Factory said, “There are many cases where people try to destroy a well-known celebrity’s name, and we think we received meaningful results. Even though it was unfair, we dealt with it and responded quietly, and we are happy to see that results. Park Si Hoo will work harder to become a more modest, sincere actor to repay his fans who trusted him and supported him.”

KBS’ the Princess’ Man and SBS Cheongdam-dong Alice which star actor Park Sihoo is being broadcasted on Japan’s wireless channels, Tokyo TV and Aichi TV from 27 June and 11 July respectively. Broadcast times are 8.25 am for the Princess Man and 9.00 am for Cheongdam-dong Alice from Monday – Friday.Japan is always taking the lead. Korean stars having different dramas aired at the same time is unusual on wireless channels. Hallyu star Park Sihoo is receiving a lot of attention in Japan and to have two dramas broadcasted at the same time is a first and is strong testament of Park Sihoo.

What is receiving attention is that the Princess Man and Cheongdam-dong Alice is receiving unexpected response even though they are aired during non-prime time from Monday – Friday. Despite the early morning broadcasts on wireless channels they are well received. The audience have a variety of online discussion forums and ‘Park Sihoo Day being discussed and planned on week days instead of weekends. Although there is an overlap of airtime for the Princess Man and Cheongdam-dong Alice, fans continue to strongly support repeats of the dramas.
