Google account won't connect with Android market

what am I doing wrong?

Hi,

I have a gmail account (which is the same as a google account right?) but it just doesn't connect to Android. I have a good internet connection so that's not the problem but what is? It keeps giving errors that I should check my network or internet connection but everything is installed correctly.

Anyone has an idea what goes wrong? or had this problem to and knows how to fix it? I want to install some apps.

Dunno if the type of phone is also needed but I have a Samsung Galaxy Apollo.

Oh, I had that problem yesterday! Maybe you have it too. 

To keep it short, our internet doesn't have a lock on it, but unless you've registered the MAC address of your phone to your internet connection, you can't use it at all. 

Maybe that's what's wrong?
