what a GREAT DRAMA!!!

I am having WITHDRAWAL SYNDROMES on my own,,,

I can't seem to watch new dramas yet..

there is NOTHING MORE or better than CITY HUNTER as of now...

Why is these happening to me?

anyway, I would like to give my REACTION and comments on the final 4 episodes

I didn't watch on time...

*1st that really caught my attention is KIM YOON JOO'S death

I was so much affected by it... I know and I admit that I became a little irritated in his character

at the first part... but as we know, other people that is SO RIGHTEOUS is sometimes irritating...

since we can't do what they're doing... Hmmm, YJ suffered for the things he didn't do,

like being judged by others because of his dad,, and he fight with his own self whether he will be going to keep his principles to be righteous.... That is the biggest challenge on his part...

but again, his righteousness prevails. Yes, he resented CH when his dad had the accident, but then he didn't let himself drowned with anger... I CRIED SO MUCH while watching YJ's death.... why a rightful, and perfect man died in teh hands of an UNWORTHY EVIL?!!! Forgive me for being bad, but after watching YJ's death, I wish and really WANT that the b*stard bodyguard of Evil 4 will be SMASHED by Yoon Sung... and I am wanting Evil 4 to be really killed by JinPyo.... (I know I am bad wishing it to happen, but I just think it is worth to happen after they killed YJ like that!!!)

YJ death also serve as a "reminder" or "birth" to his colleagues... that they should not let the truth be hide and the TRUTH should be SEARCHED for... We should be looking for the truth and not just sit and wait for it to come out...

*2nd... As for JinPyo's love for YoonSung, as I have said in my previous post, I can feel JP's UNIQUE love for YS...

he may be brutal and sadistic but (I know I am weird here) but I can still feel JP's love for YS....

YS is his only weakness. YS also know that fact too. I am glad that JP never failed me to what I am feeling for his character.

I cried in the ending. JP's love for YS was really CONFIRMED in the end,,, He granted YS's wish to LIVE a HAPPY life after the revenge... although JP is not in his happy life-to-be, JP freed YS being the CH and took ALL THE BLAME for YS to live and move forward....

*3rd... As for Ahjussi, you know how much I like you in the show, right? I will be missing you as much as I love seeing your funny scenes here... You served as YS's mom, softy daddy, real friend, cupid, and feeder.... Hoping to see more of him in the next dramas to come...

*4th Kim Nana.... you're the spunkiest, and bravest Heroine I've seen...You're someone who didn't know how to keep her true feelings and you're so BRAVE and honest to what you feel... You just not protect our hero, you also serve as his breather and all... without you, this show won't be as great as it is... (Congrats to PMY to ave her new drama!)

*5th... to my ever dearest, greatest, my love and all.. (*wahaha!) non other than Lee Yoon Sung, City Hunter,

I am so loving you here and there.. from 1st episode until its last second, I am loving him and continue to support him...

YS didn't have a perfect life and a happy life, and yet, he dealt with it PERFECTLY... He never felt so much hatred to the point of wanting others to be killed by him, he wanted to show what's right and wrong and he never stooped low as the others.... I know he had his moment to "almost-killing" corrupt no, 3 but again, he was able to be back in his rationality...

about the portrayals,

*This drama has got LOTS of TALENTS to have and this drama is so blessed.

with the GREAT and WELL written script, not just showing a "revenge plot" but putting a HEART in it,

it really made me swoon and love the over-all drama.

Lee Min Ho did a SUPERB job portraying the role as Ryu.. I know, I didn't read the CH original manga yet, but

for me, this live adaptation of CH gave the original writer of CH great credits....

when CH was about to start, MANY were CRITICIZING it that LMH and PMY is not fit for the roles, and I am glad they were all WRONG!!! *Serve them right!* I am so much trusting LMH and PMY as they were some of the great actors in Korea,,, they know what project to do and have, so choosing CH, means they can give their ALL and best to it...

I am hoping for the NEXT Project of all the casts... As PMY has her new drama to do,

I am wishing to see LMH in another GREAT drama, as well as Lee Joon Hyuk (Young Joo) and the rest of the casts...

*This drama has it ALL!

----from friendship, revenge plot, to comedic, to romantic, to suspense, to thriller, to sentimental and dramatic, until to being humanistic.... what could we ask for more?!!!

the only thing I am sad is that all GREAT things come to an end and CH already ended...

I am so much HOPING, PRAYING and WANTING CH to have a season 2! HOW GREAT WOULD THAT BE?

LASTLY: I am wanting to thank EACH and EVERY HUNTER here!!! You know that I love all of you and my journey to watch CH would not be so much fun as it is and as I can imaging without all of you...

Hahaha...same here as well. Not in the mood to watch other drama thus watching CH all over again. Initially I don't have high expectations from CH as I have always thought LMH as just a pretty boy but after watching it woahhhhh I can't believed he can really act very well.

^I'm not sure about how YJ figured out YS was the President's son, but the President figured out when he remembered that YS also has the habit of picking out the beans (when YS had lunch with the President and DH). Also, YJ's co-worker came and told the President that YS is the son of MY and KH + JP took YS away from KH + JP told the President that he had a present (which is YS) coming to him soon. Soo I guess the President connected the pieces and figured out YS was his son. 

I'm going to assume that JP sent YJ the text by block or hid his numbers so YJ won't figured out and thought it was from CH.

haha ya, that's true. I was thinking maybe YJ's intuition tells him that he got tricked at the time when CJM surrounded him. So he decided to text to YS instead of the "fake" CH.

i hope someone will be able to answer my question...

i'm just a bit confused as to how Kim Yeong Joo figured out that Yoon Sung was the son of the president. i mean he saw the pic in the blog was the same as the one they found in one of Cheon Jae Man's safe but was it enough to assume that they were indeed father and son?

also, i don't understand how the president figured it out as well, that yoon sung was his son... he found out later on that yoon sung is the city hunter... that i could understand, but as to how he also realized that he's his son, i find that a bit confusing...

lastly, kim yeong joo received a text from city hunter that the secret files are in the junkyard... did he know that the texts he's getting from city hunter is not actually sent by Yoon Sung? because when kim yeong joo realized that Yoon sung was already in the junkyard, he sent a text to Yoon Sung to tell him where the secret files are... and Yoon Sung got that text message....

YJ figured out that YS was the president's son because in CJM's confiscated sunflower folder, there was Kyeong Hee's gynae report, plus the painting that the president did with his seal. I can't read Korean so I had to rely on internet comments to find out that the paper YJ saw KH's name on it was KH's gynae report. 

The president figured out that YS was his son when YJ's assistant told him that YS is Park Mu Yeol and KH's son. Finding out that YS is the city hunter is already the other half of the puzzle, because the city hunter left the dog tags that were clues that he was taking revenge for 1983. But the president realized that YS was his son and not MY's son because of KH's evasiveness when they talked in his car (KH only referred to the baby was hers, and never mentioned that MY was the father). The president appeared shocked that KH had a child 28 years ago, and he seems to realize that everyone else who knew was keeping him in the dark so my interpretation is that he put all the hints together and figured out that JP's revenge is for his biological son to take him down. Personally, I think that what helped the president to realize YS's true paternity was also the president's knowledge of JP's temperament. Since they were supposed to be close friends 28 years ago, the president would have known that JP is the sort to just kill people quickly, unless he had something worse in store for them. JP's drawn-out revenge on the president wouldn't make sense if YS was MY's son, but it would make sense if YS was the president's son. So that's how the president deduced YS's paternity, I *think*.

In the junkyard, YJ texted YS because he heard fighting, and he knew that JP cannot fight like that. So it was YS who was present. If he simply replied the text from "city hunter", the message may have gone to JP, because YJ thought that "city hunter" is made up of YS and JP.

Although I know it's acting, but the scene where YJ is fighting...it looked so real =/. And I LOL'ed when Min Ho was lying on the mat, looking comfortable at the shooting scene (ep.20) hahahha

Watching those scenes again make me cry.

it's my First Post here and Sorry to my English... it's not good LOL... ah and I'm a French Girl ^^.

( I'll make a bad reputation to the French people LOL, sorry for them ^^).

So, I come to read the Forum's Post since the beginning from drama but I didn't participated because of my poor english LOL...

Now, this Drama is over and as I'm a Very very very Big FAN from Original Manga/comic City Hunter, I wanted to share the comparisons (close/revised) between SCAN MANGA/ Capture DRAMA what I shared with French Fan yet^^.

But, I didn't find any English Scantrad... I translated myself with my poor english LOL (but a friend : Grumpy-Seonbae, has corrected few words/sentence ^^).

But Before, I wanted to say even if the DRAMA IS VERY VERY different from MANGA (or almost) I LOVED HIM SO SO SO.... MUCH ^^.

QUICK REVIEW :

CITY HUNTER, one of the best DRAMA I saw.

Everything is in place...

Crazy story with colorful Characters and all very good actors.

A Very good "DramaMaking" (Filmmaking) despite some length here and there.

The Battle scenes are amazing BUT Very Short.

An Outstanding Soundtrack with very beautiful songs and instrumental music.

The End will share...

And an "Adaptation" which is certainly much too far from Original Comic but which has this thing which makes me... I don't hate The Drama lol... because/contrary to CITY HUNTER MOVIE with Jackie Chan, The Drama don't looks out of place (jar) in the painting and don't shame original Comic because It is (HIM) quality.

Otherwhise For Me The Drama is "City Hunter" + "Angel Heart" and "Yoon Sung" is a mix between "Ryo Saeba" + "Xiang Ying" but a watered-down version.

And The Prosecutor is a mix between Hideyuki Makimura/Hirotaka KITAO.

However,

The Original Logo was more appropriated with Drama...

So the drama does incorporate things from the comic. Happy to know that CH does not stray too much from the original source. I also feel CH is more like the beginning of City Hunter journey. Now we definitely need a season 2.

HANDS DOWN... ONE OF THE BEST KOREAN DRAMAS IVE SEEN.

The last time i cried so damn hard was for "IM SORRY I LOVE YOU" and i bawled like a baby at 3am XD For City Hunter Yongju's death killed me and I lost it when Jinpyo started his epic speech while holding his gun declaring he's CITY HUNTER. It crushed me that Yongju and Saehee almost had a good ending, the two glowed with happiness during their talk of rekindling their relationship at the hospital. Scriptwriter why so cruel? XD *sigh* GAAAH the tragedy

Jinpyo...oh Jinpyo in those last minutes you stole the spotlight from Yunsung who's my favorite character to date. Damn you have a heart and you showed your son that indeed you value and love him. His love for you is not unrequited after all...............

MinMin, my love for my OTP will never change and even if I didnt get even just a simple hug though my reaction was

As much as I wished for lots of MinMin scenes since this show turned me into an airhead focusing on the wonderful chemistry between the two leads, i am grateful that they have some sort of closure on what really happened between the two. They found each other in the end........

Just like a lot of fans here, i demand for SEASON 2 but if its NOT Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young then i'd move on to the next drama.

Man, this drama got me so bad - it's absolutely ridiculous! I just started rewatching, and I'm just as hooked as I was the first time around! LOL xD 

I can't wait for the DVD to come out. Does anyone know how long it normally takes for the DVD to be released? I haven't watched a Korean drama in full for a while, so I have no idea how these things work... -__-;; 

I can't believe I wanted to overlook this drama because of Lee Min Ho, Park Min Young, and Goo Hara... I'm so glad I decided to give this drama a shot because I am now a fan of all three! All three of them completely surprised me! And Lee Jun Hyuk... This was the first time I've ever even heard of him! haha What a great first impression! hahaha. He also kind of looks like Song Seung Hun??? Although... I think Lee Jun Hyuk's the better actor =X

I can't believe it's over...

I don't really know what to say about the ending, except I like how they made it open-ended. That way, it can end in our own ways. For me, Nana and YS have been together for a while and are now going to move to U.S. together. Although, YS didn't seem completely happy at the end (he had a sad smile), so I felt that maybe he knew in his heart that Nana and him could never truly be together because of his disguise as City Hunter. He is fighting for the greater good (thanks to YJ) and has a bigger picture in mind whereas before he just wanted a 'normal' life. Now he realizes that he was never meant to live a normal life, and Nana understands that 100%. But I'm hoping there's a Season 2 because, honestly, the ending left me feeling unsatisfied.

As for Jin Pyo......man, I just don't feel like psychoanalyzing him today. Jin Pyo is Jin Pyo. Started off as one kind of man and ended in the same way. I don't think his last act of 'saving' YS' identity can really speak of how he must've changed. Jin Pyo was the same man from the beginning til end, and his last act was only a bit of redemption and relief for YS. That's all. It just shows that he loved his son just a wee bit after all.

Even if YunSeong doesn't have the heart to beat the crap out of him, he could just tie him up and put him in a room. Like whats the worst thing he can do? The poor man can't even run.

Totally understand your frustration with JP. By episode 12, most of us here want YS to lock JP up so he won't be in the way. Yes, the 'poor man' can't run but he's still a danger to society.
