But, really… at that moment… I was getting slightly cold, somehow… his hand was warm. Hmm… His hand was a little smaller than my dad’s hand. And it was a little softer than my dad’s hand. Yes, it was.

I guess we all shall be talking about, discussing, comparing notes, pointing out details from this Birthday Episode over and over again for the coming days of the week.

I myself shall be dissecting this particular episode in the coming days as there are many special moments worth re-emphasizing. Because of the ecstatic feeling we all got and probably not having recovered from it yet I have spazzed on this episode only at a general level. I will surely get down to specifics.

Indeed, this Birthday Episode of June 29, 2010 is the TURNING POINT in YONGSEO's Relationship.

After readinh everyone's spasms and excitement... topping upwith jdlee's translation.. its such a bliss for me..

due to the strike.. we were having a hard time trying to link the different episodes and figuring out which event comes first and so on.. and i am having fun reading some of the hawk-eyed and fast analytical skills of some who were able to find some clues here and there...

eg.. some gogumas were able to find out finally the first time they held hands... which was this epi... cos everyone thought that they first held hands during the Horror School epi.. Even the MCs + SO + JW thought so and were squealing as much as us..

i was reading jdlee's translation and saw the word 'guitar'... i can also make a link... remember the Japanese female star who went to their house?? and Seohwa showed her their bedroom... suddenly Yong said.. 'Hyun's guitar' the pink one... it was the same one she used when she was singing 'Love Light' for him at the pond... heheh... i was confused when he mentioned that guitar cos I have no recollection abt the appearance of that mini guitar.. and now i made the link...

So gogumas... let's find more links... and make their love story more sense...

my brain, my mind, my eyes, my ears, my laptop are full of gugoma sweetiness. in the past 20 hours, i was like a robot keeping on clicking three tabs - this thread and the two parts of yesterday's ep.

i could not hold my happy tears when i watched it in live stream yesterday afternoon. when i was out, i rewatched it via my iphone. when my mother did heart beat test for me, my heart beat was like 100 plus (at that time, i was watching the "love light" part). i, of course, knew what had happened to myself. later, after i calmed down a little bit, my heart beat was back to normal. kekeke!!!!

i think amongst all the gifts, yong loves hyun singing 'love light' to him the most. it is a song he wrote for her and now she was singing back to him without kowing the story of how he wrote the song. at that time, only yong himself knew the true story, so he asked hyun to sing again without the mask. i really want to know what he was thinking at that time - would it be "my sweet darling, you are singing my song for you, do you know ?" what a meaningful guy yong is. he kept the secret for his own for months. i think he did not tell hyun beause he did not want to give her any pressure. but when hyun gets ready to know the truth, he honestly tells her. see how he encouraged hyun to ask him direct. he is very protective to his wife. he knew she had no confidence about "whom he wrote the song for". she was afraid that it's not her. at that moment, i feel yong was a little bit "angry" (hope you know what i mean). maybe he was 'angry' that hyun did not trust him. but once hyun admitted her query, he was happy and started to understand it's all beause of hyun's shyness. what an amazing part !

i love 'love light' the first time i listened to it before the release of the album. at that time i truely believe that it is a song for hyun. but after several interview, yong said he wrote for his first love. so i tended to believe him as i told myself not to link everything about yong with hyun. after all, wgm is only a show and hyun is only his partner in the show. i asked myself not to make things complicated. even the recent song "i don't know why", to me, it's also another song for hyun, but some people said it's for pak xx, so i told myself it may be true.

i appreciate yong won't leak out the story about 'love light' earlier. it shows how he respects to and cherish hyun and their relationship. it's in fact a very hot selling point to promote the song. but he chose to keep silent. what a great man !

i think i would continue to rewatch the ep today.

kay77 (sorry if i remember your name wrong), what is the response of fans in Korea about this ep? really want to know as i could only know the international fans' here. thanks.

Yongseo better not revert to their formal selves again!!

My fave scene started from the roundabout curiosity ^^, and the REAL highlight for me, was when Yong said "Say it confidently - is it written for me or not?!" It was such an obvious deliberate confession! He was waiting for it!!

Also, the part when she was singing lovelight the 2nd time without the mask and he looked @ her and smiled, like a smile of someone in love

Hey there ahn_annann, I believe the song is called Yamaoku shounen no koi monogatari. I'm not sure about the origins, probably Japanese - but I heard it off this Japanese movie called Cyborg She 僕の彼女はサイボーグ. And the first time I heard it, I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT and is still pretty much in love with it. In the context of the movie itself, it was placed and played out beautifully.

Here's the version that I know.

Yamaoku shounen no koi monogatari by Nakagawa Izumi.

Unfortunately, I do not know the version they used for our couple.

But I do hope you enjoy this song still.

It has a special place in my heart. And I'm really glad they used it for our couple. How apt.

Because I really loved this scene in this week's episode.

I mean, if you compare it to holding hands, this scene might seem less exciting but I just love it to bits.

Even in their farmer clothes, blowing dandelions - I have to say this is my favourite scene of the whole episode.

DON'T GET ME WRONG. I'M OVER THE MOON ABOUT THE HANDHOLDING, THE RING, THE SWEET POTATO FIELD AND EVERYTHING.

LOVE EVERY PART OF IT.

But I don't know why.. I was really touched by this scene. Something about it that resonates everything about this couple. Playfulness, sweetness, innocence. To be quite honest, even as I type this I feel like I'm doing injustice to this scene, like I wish I could write it better, and tell you guys how I really feel. I felt like they brought us into their world, their very own world. That we do not need the grandeur things in life to love. I'm still very young and my experience in love is barely near what some or most of you have experienced but what I've come to understand from this, is that love can be simple, love can be kind, love can be everything you want it to be. All you need is someone to share it with. And for this, I am thankful for WGM, Yonghwa, Seohyun and everyone here and everyone else who had a part in this, for sharing a piece of their/your love . I have never come across a community that is this passionate and I'm glad I found one.

I will watch this DAEBAK episode everyday and from this bday episode which is the start of everything, so the coming episodes after this will be such a joy for us loving this couple. Now we know why in special stage performance, in horror episode, the Euno Juri episode (which SeoHyun feels a bit jealous) WHY YONGSEO LOOKS COMFORTABLE WHICH EACH OTHER, It's bcoz of this fishing/bday epi LOVELY LOVELY

AND NOW THE NEW COUPLE RING, no wonder hubby Yong loves the RING and very proud to show off the RING all the time, IT'S BCOZ IT'S THE BDAY GIFT OF WIFEY HYUN. Now i come to realized when they ask him in Taiwan about the ring. And he said he always wear it coz he might lose it and if he didn't wear it SOMEONE (which is his wife) MIGHT SCOLD HIM. Then in Thailand Yong mentioned that the ring they bought together HE LIED a bit there kekeke! BUT THE TRUTH THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS ALREADY

Ahhhhh, these two! Why do they tug at my heart strings like they do?! They’re just too cute and adorable! Like watching puppies playing….. I’ve seen every romantic movie put out by major American studios from Casablanca through Love Story to Forrest Gump but nothing makes my heart melt and go ‘duguen, duguen’ like Yong and Hyun! Could it be because I sense meaningful feeling & caring between these two – and honesty? Do I sense a feeling of REAL, genuine LOVE, not acting! If they’ve got me fooled then these 2 wonderful young people deserve Oscars for their performance, or whatever the highest award in the world is for great acting. I really feel that they’ve both found someone extremely special by chance, and they are going to take this ride on WGM to the fullest extent, as far as it can take them in developing a real, sincere boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. And on their own terms, and at their own speed! I thought the Chuseok Horror show was DAEBAK, I thought the special stage duet was DAEBAK, but now we get this episode from the end of June, and find out things between Yong and Hyun were much deeper and more meaningful on June 29^th than we could ever have known and we see where their relationship took a giant leap ahead! Whenever the two of them are together for the entire day – expect fireworks! I can’t wait for the date in Japan!

hi gogumas! i'm silent lurker from indonesia. and i'v been watching yongseo couple since their first episode.

soooo happy found this thread, and this is my first time spazzing in this thread.

frankly, i'm in love with yongseo when i watch them for the first time. i watch wgm in campus with my friend, he (my friend) show me adam couple first, and then yongseo. i don't know why i more love this couple than adam. i don't know why i'm in love with yongseo

they're so natural.. they different!

i've downloaded all of their episode and being crazy everyday waiting for saturday .

they're always makes me suprised in each episode and makes me smile like an idiot. OMG

here my favourite moment from this episode.

1. my fave scene started from when yong said to hyun that "This is the first time I have hung a n-n-neck, necklace". it seemed that yong haven't gave and hang a necklace to his ex-girlfriend or other girl before.kekekeke

2. when yong want hyun to sing love light without mask. yong expression was daebak! he was totally happy hahaha ..

3. hyun puts the ring on a yong finger. then yong said "I’m so touched. Really… I’m so touched. I’ve never imagined…."

4. yong looking directly to hyun and sang love light but he falls over. kekek (if yong do that thing to me maybe my nose would bleeding)

5. yong called seo joo hyun again and again. he look so happy and couldn't say anything, just called out her name seo joo hyun

6. yong talked about the song softly. when i watched this part, it was like i'm watching drama. hahahha

Fellow Yongseo shippers

First time posting here...after the last episode, I decided I really must join you guys and spazz . The recent episode was pure LOVE. I have been a follower of WGM since it first began and I must say this couple, to me, is by far the most appealing. Why? Perhaps it's because of the possibllity of their relationship turning from reel to real which attracts me.

Let me explain - here we have a young girl who has never experienced love and she is thrown into a show on national TV with an idol partner who has to show her how a girlfriend/wife should be treated. Chances of her getting sweeped off her feet would have been high. But by a twist of fate, she gets Yonghwa and what a match that turns out to be. He has shown her understanding and respect, never making her feel any less for her inexperience. And the things he does for her - a sweet potato field on her birthday (well, two rows but still a field), book reports when he actually does not really read, and even a letter thanking her mom for having her. I don't think other couples in WGM have done this?? Some have met their in-laws (e.g.Andy/Solbi) and some have bought gifts for their in-laws (e.g Ant couple) but Yonghwa is the first to NOT have met his in-laws and yet written a sweet letter and given a gift to match Seohyun's. Point is he DIDN'T have to but he did. What a wonderful guy! And to top it off - he has now confessed that she is partly responsible for Lovelight's lyrics. If half of us here have already fallen for him, I cannot imagine Seohyun's heart not palpitating each time Yonghwa is near.

As for Yong, WGM may have just begun as a career move, but along the filming, I think he realised he has been given a very precious gift. And the looks he gives Seohyun and vice-versa, I don't think it's an act. Just look at them staring at each other when they were exchanging rings,I felt they were lost in their own world. Their relationship, though some may say is slow, is just very beautiful to watch, and I will be hanging on patiently to see what else can happen to two very amazing young people.

Btw, thanks to all the regular goguma lovers who have been posting various information/links/artwork/fanfiction/subs. Your contributions have made me and I am sure many others in this forum look forward to our weekends. Thank you.

just finished re-watching the episode for the tenth time today, and decided to share my share of happiness.

1. I really love the second part. the part where Yong called out Seo Joo Hyun over and over. I really feel his affection towards his buin by calling her full name. and to me it's more meaningful than just a mere "I Love You".

2. Also the parts where he "scolded" her affectionately by saying Jashik for like a million times. It's like he is trying hard to contain his excitement because of Hyun's action. And we can see that he would explode because of happiness anytime.

3. Also love the part where Yong laughed so hard when Hyun thought she caught a fish. I think we all know that she was embarrased at that time and decided to do something to cover it up. Such an adorable girl.

But my fave scene has to be when Yong looking at Hyun adoringly when she was singing Love Light without the mask. I can see that he was sooooo touched and at that point all the viewers can see his feeling because it's so transparent.

OH!! I'm gonna die again!! talking about my fave scene makes me want to watch the episode again.

OK! I'm off to watch it for the 11th time. Happy Sunday Goguma aliens!

After watching yesterday's episode for the nth time... an old original filipino song suddenly crossed my mind (a personal favorite of mine back when I was still in high school), as I was watching the show again and again, the song and specially the lyrics can's stop playing in my mind also, thus, I would like to share it to all of you, I guess the songs fits our couple but if you read the lyrics thoroughly I would say that it would be more of a Hyun's pov, since this is the first time she's experiencing LOVE ... here it goes:
