If it were one of those 1L tubs which my mum usually gets, I'd scrape it off with my spoon.

hmm good question. i used to lick the lid, now i don't. ever since i saw how dirty the lids are.. i remember seeing these strange white stuff.. like what you see if you open a 4L milk jug.. theres this white stuff on the lids
