Depends on the verb. You conjugate it the same way you would for the pattern "Let's do X"

For verbs that end in -eru it's usually (not always) like this

変える　－＞　変えよう kaeru -> kaeyou

食べる　－＞　食べよう taberu -> tabeyou

調べる　－＞　調べよう shiraberu -> shirabeyou

I'm thinking of eating food

ご飯を食べようと思っています gohan o tabeyou to omotteimasu

ご飯を食べようかと思っています gohan o tabeyou ka to omotteimasu

Saying 食べようか instead of just 食べよう makes it more uncertain

But for other verbs it's usually

行く　－＞　行こう iku -> ikou

飲む　－＞　飲もう nomu -> nomou

書く　－＞　書こう kaku -> kakou

I'm thinking of going to the mall

モールに行こうと思っています mooru ni ikou to omotteimasu

モールに行こうかと思っています mooru ni ikou ka to omotteimasu

and する suru is　しよう shiyou

I'm thinking of studying French

フランス語を勉強しようと思っています furansugo o benkyou shiyou to omotteimasu

フランス語を勉強しようかと思っています furansugo o benkyou shiyou ka to omotteimasu

I get too confused when I read the kanji in both kun and on-reading but there are few words that I know already

yeah for the most commonly used kanji (around 2000 or so) you really need to know both..for the rarer or more obscure kanji it depends if you're going to be reading novels/books or not I guess, some kanji have on/kun readings that are almost never used but still exist so it's best to just learn them as you go along

- the scene after the dog leaves. the cat asks the guy who he should hire. what's the guy saying to the cat?

- the scene when the main guy is alone in the ramen shop with the part-timer. the part-timer hands the guy a bowl of his leftover food (is that bread??) the guy then says to himself that the food is already half-eaten, but i didn't understand what he was saying after that.

- the scene right after, the guy comes into the ramen shop and asks the cat what's wrong. what's the guy saying when the scene changes to the letter?
