[NEWS] Beast Beats Record In Japan

Idol group Beast has broken records in Japan set by the “untouchable” group, Big Bang.

According to Oricon Style’s homepage on March 22nd, “Beast’s debut single “Shock” has sold about 29,000 copies in just one week, ranking them second on the Oricon Daily charts.”

This is even better than the group Big Bang who ranked third on the same chart in June of 2009 with their debut single “My Heaven”. That was the best record set until now; for one year and nine months. Beast’s new record is the best of any foreign Asian artist.

Beast had planned on releasing their debut album, following that up with active promotions and a concert. However, with the recent earthquake, plans have been put on the back burner for now.

After completing their first two headlining concerts in Korea, each of the members are currently focusing on individual activities.

[iNFO] A Pink to broadcast debut process with G.NA, B2ST, & Mario on “A Pink News”

A Cube Entertainment’s upcoming girl group, A Pink, will exhibit their debut process through their TrendE program, “A Pink News“. Acting as the newscasters are fellow Cube Entertainment artists G.NA, B2ST, and Mario!

Scheduled to air on March 25th, the girls are planning to show off some of their practice techniques. In addition, the girls will each dive into their personal lives so that they could better introduce themselves to future fans and viewers alike.

A Pink has been garnering quite some attention, especially after netizens discovered their appearance in B2ST’s Japanese version of “Shock” MV, and in their “Beautiful” MV.

Yangpa releases a new album in 4 years... Wheesung & Yoon Doojoon features 

가수 양파가 4년 만에 새 음반을 발표한다. 

22일 양파 소속사인 코어콘텐츠미디어에 따르면 양파는 이달 말 '아파 아이야'를

타이틀곡으로 한 새 미니앨범을 발매한다. 이번 음반에는 '아파 아이야' 외에도 '너라면 좋겠어' '본 아뻬띠' '그 때 그사람' '친구야' 등 총 5곡이 담긴다. 

이로써 양파는 4년여 만에 새 음반으로 팬들과 만나게 됐다. 양파는 지난 2007년 5월 정규 5집 발표 이후 '혼' 등 드라마 OST 및 컴필레이션 음반에 참여하긴 했지만, 자신의 이름을 걸고 새 앨범을 내는 것은 4년여 만에 처음이다. 

이번 앨범에는 인기 가수들도 참여해 눈길을 끈다. 휘성은 타이틀곡인 마이너 팝발라드곡 '아파 아이야'를 작사했으며, 비스트의 윤두준은 '본 아뻬띠'를 피처링했다. 

양파 측은 "양파의 미니앨범은 이달 초 예정이었으나 팬들에게 더욱더 멋진 사운드와 곡으로 인사드리기 위해, 김도훈 프로듀서와 많은 의견 조율 및 다양한 시도를 한 끝에 예정보다 늦어지게 됐다"라고 밝혔다. 

이어 "티아라의 '왜 이러니'와 지나의 '블랙 앤드 화이트'의 노랫말을 쓴 양파는 이번 미니앨범 수록곡인 '그 때 그 사람'과 '본 아뻬띠'를 작사 및 작곡했고 '너라면 좋겠어'를 작사, 여성 싱어송라이터로서의 면모도 보여줬다"라고 전했다. 

한편 양파의 새 음반 수록곡 음원들은 오는 25일 선 공개된다. 양파는 오는 4월 1일 KBS 2TV '뮤직뱅크'를 통해 컴백무대를 갖는다.
