Yay! If they come to the U.S. again I hope they come to Chicago, we're like one of the biggest cities with a HUGE (and I mean huge!) amount of asians. Although I heard that the reason they didn't come last year was because when they came to Chicago in '07 not that many people showed up. So hopefully this year if they do come to the U.S. Chicago will be on the list!

it says in the first thumbnail, under the "about" section. It lists the general countries they're going to but they didn't elaborate on the specific cities yet.

sure!!! we'll go together to the auditions!!! ^o^ my sister and some of her friends are going too! a few of my friends are joining me as well. lol! heck, we should bring all the kpop fans in our country!!! ^o^ haha! and oh, we should practice hard, like everyday!! fighting!!

i got to talk to 1 of my korean friends who happens to be a frequent sm visitor (coz she has a trainee classmate). i asked her about this and she said (but she's not 100% sure) that the reason sm is having the global auditions at such an early date (than the usual fall scheds) is due to the postponed/cancelled global auditions last year. i then remembered that they didn't push through with the auditions in thailand and a few other southeast asian countries because of some crisis. it makes sense now that im thinking about it. but who knows? maybe they'd still have another global audition around fall and early winter even if they're having it now. father sm probably has a huge budget. XD

im thinking of emailing them again, requesting to hold the auditions in the philippines. so far, they do reply although sometimes they dont really answer your questions... :x i guess it would be better if all of us would request to have the global auditions in our respective countries or have a sort of petition to have the audition in our countries. if more people would do that, then probably (or hopefully, most likely) they would give in to our requests. ^o^

the US weekly auditions are still open even if there's going to be a global audition in the US. same thing with the weekly Korea auditions. from what i have observed, the global auditions are like "special" auditions unlike the weekly auditions.

since the auditions are from feb 14 - march 1

which is actually. 14 days, 2 weeks

and since they're pretty much doing korea from feb 14 to the end of feb

and like. im guessing from march on they'll go to japan, china, and the US?

cause theres no way they can cover all of the countries in 2wks

so does anyone agree with me that eventually the global auditions for US will end up near april/beginning of june?

and china ones, around..mid march?

if POSSIBLY. in general like someone goes to those auditions. and like. you're planning on doing a mail audition soon, would SM want a different song for a US or w.e audition compared to the one that you did during your mail audition?

this year i am actually and honestly turning 12 yrs old.

my parents are now so strict about my learning because like all asian parents

they say i need to start my SAT practice.

sometimes i try giving my parents little hints i dont want to become a doctor anymore

but theyre so dumb they dont know!!!!!

really bad because i've missed all of the previous auditions.

and I missed this passed fall's auditions because i was in a school play

and wasn't able to miss any of the practices, because they were liek 6 hour practices

on the weekends!

Since they have not stated which South East Asian countries

they will be going to. Oh~!!!! I have some tips on your auditions.

Because I've talked to a Korean guy that is auditioning singers in Korea. [Don't ask any further details... lol]

Here it goes ...

1. Don't lose your confidence.

2. They don't like it when they see that you can't look at the judges' eyes.

It signals that you are scared and not strong.

3. If you don't take this audition seriously the judges won't be serious with you either.

4. Don't sing so fast~! Take your time singing it with emotions and look at the judges' eyes

and in the camera like you are talking to them.

5. Memorize at least 3 songs for the audition.

6. If they ask you to dance then dance even if you can't dance. Don't make any excuses~!

7. Always BOW when greeting the judges/staff on the audition.

8. Don't sing so softly ... Sing loudly so that the Judges can hear you~!
