Wonder Girls’ Sohee voted the best Korean vampire

Wonder Girls’ Sohee is quite the transformer, as she was able to change into a nurse, a mannequin, the Pucca girl, and many more besides. Yet this time around, it’s not a new costume that’s gotten fans talking, but one she’s donned previously as a mysterious and dreamy vampire.

Due to the recent release of vampire movie ‘Let Me In‘, the distributor – Nuri Pictures – conducted a survey through movie ticket reservation site Yes24 on ‘Which Korean idol resembles the 12 year old vampire Chloe Moretz the most?‘

The poll ran from November 1 – 8, and Sohee came in first with 36% of the votes. Why, you ask? Sohee starred in 8eight’s music video “Without A Heart“ as an exquisite, melancholic vampire who ironically stole the hearts of the nation with her beauty.

Meanwhile, SNSD’s Jessica came in second with 22% of the votes, KARA’s Goo Hara was in third with 21%, and 4minute’s HyunA landed in fourth place with 20% of the votes.

JYP Korea apparently confirmed 2PM, missA will attend MAMA 2010, but WG is "still under discussion", schedule-wise.

(They have a major show in Hangzhou the night before.)

I noticed that all the groups which have sub forums have also surpassed 3 official threads, we're still on our second because of the lack of activities of WG.. so once their activities speed up and we reach thread number 3 then I think we'll get the sub forum that all of us want

MTV Taiwan's 'JKpop' show 日韩音乐疯 feature on the "JYPE idol factory." (There is another clip about the "SM idol factory".)

2PM got top billing here, but WG & 2AM are also featured. missA got a mention as well.

The VJ said JYP is eyeing the Chinese-speaking markets, then talked up the various groups: WG's global 'Nobody' hit, 2PM's beastly image, 2AM's ballads, missA co-performing in Taiwan (MULA concert). The Jay Park reference is to introduce the concluding MV (older 2PM song).

Best Girl Group Poll results from iPoll

Korea’s largest online polling site ipoll.kr conducted a poll for “Best Girl Group” from August 23rd to October 3rd. Various girl groups were paired up in brackets with the winner advancing to the next round. The poll was very popular with more than 100,000,000 votes tallied for the entirety of the poll.

The first round match up was as follows:

Brown Eyed Girls (397,970) vs T-ara (332,464)

SNSD (8,322,980) vs 4minute (5,184,301)

WG got the anti-SNSD votes for the final round too, it appears. Good support in earlier rounds, but 5~7 mil is not 40 million.

Multiple JYP Family concerts this Xmas? Dunno what to make of it, but here goes...

Last week, a China entertainment website (ifensi) published a one-line article as follows.

来自JYP娱乐的官方消习，“今年12月24日JYP娱乐将在奥林匹克体操竞技场举行Family Concert ，“这是准备了一年的计划，将举行三天“。

Translation:

Official news from JYPE: "This December 24, JYPE will hold a Family Concert at the Olympic Gymnastics Hall. This has been planned for a year; it will take place over 3 days."

The China website is fan-based, a bit like soompi. (Korea's SK Telecom has bought it & merged it with Cyworld China.)

It is also into rewriting media articles without providing credit, like allkpop & Apple Daily, et al. Worse yet, their articles tend to be very brief (complemented by photos).

I could not find any other source mentioning the supposed 3 days, & thus dismissed the detail.

Well, here is a new Korean source that seems to quote JYP as saying  "Dec 23~24", so who knows.
