Rain will show that he's more than just a world star by taking viewers into his private life as the man Jung Ji Hoon in his own reality show 'Rain Effect'!



Mnet stated, "As previously revealed during the recent 'MAMA', Rain's reality program 'Rain Effect' will air ahead of his comeback this coming January. Viewers will be able to see Rain's real image and innocent charms as the man Jung Ji Hoon as he returns from his two-year hiatus, prepares for his album, and lives as a world star."



PD Shin Chun Ji stated, "Viewers seem to be curious about Rain's glamorous title as a world star and his hidden normal lifestyle... Rain will take viewers deeper into his private life, so it would be good to look forward to it."



A lot has been going on with Rain since his discharge. He joined Cube DC, made his return to live broadcast at the '2013 MAMA', and was cast alongside Bruce Willis in the Hollywood film, 'The Prince'.



Cube DC also confirmed Rain's comeback date to Xports News on the 11th, "Rain will release his new album on January 6." The agency also denied the rumors of his first comeback stage on 'M! Countdown', stating, "Although his album release date is confirmed, nothing concerning his comeback stage has been confirmed yet. We are preparing with various opportunities in mind."

Singer Rain stated that nothing is confirmed yet for his comeback.

His agency revealed that although it is true that  he will be releasing a new song on January 9, they are still debating on when he will have a comeback stage.

Mnet "M! Countdown" also stated that there have been no confirmation for Rain's comeback stage for the January line up.

These rumors began to due an article that was released by some media stating that he would be making his comeback stage on January 9.

On the other hand, Rain's new Mnet reality program, "Rain Effect," will air its first episode soon.

Rain has started preparing busily for his comeback.

Cube DC, Rain’s agency, reported on December 11 that the star has started filming his new music video on December 10, and is planning to complete filming two music videos by December 13.

The music videos are directed by the famous director Lumpens who also directed Cho Yong Pil’s music video for Hello.

Rain will show the process of preparing for his comeback through the new reality show Mnet’s Rain Effect which is set to begin broadcast on December 19. His new album will also be released on January 6.

(willenette : Just when one thought the whole mess was done and dusted, it has resurfaced again. Poor RAIN! I could say that K-pop companies suck at handling scandals. They pour so much money and effort into making idols perfect that they forgot to hire the right PR people to handle scandals when they arise. It's not rocket science, but for some reason, some K-pop companies suck when it comes to dealing with scandals. The way they handle this is simply ridiculous. In general explanations regarding “dating” in the K-pop world are ridiculous.)

 

Another issue that affected kdrama stars this year also crossed over into the kpop world. It involved the behavior of kdrama and kpop celebrities while they were serving in the military. All Korean males between 18 and 35 must serve two years of military duty, but until this year singers, actors and other celebrities enjoyed a special celebrity recruit status.

The celebrity unit was first formed 16 years ago and served as a public relations office.

Celebrity recruits were often assigned to the entertainment corps to perform for soldiers or on broadcasts. They also got better facilities and more privileges than the average soldier. Most celebrity recruits served honorably but a few took advantage of their status to have extra vacation time and engage in activities that were forbidden.

This summer some of those activities were exposed in a documentary that angered Korean citizens. The documentary created such uproar that the celebrity recruit status was abolished.

Several celebrities were involved in the scandal. Singers Se7en, Mighty Mouth's Sangchu and singer and "Full House" star Rain were spotted drinking and dining off base when they were supposed to be on active duty. Se7en and Sangchu were later caught at an adult massage parlor.

Se7en and Sangchu were punished and assigned to active duty. Rain, who did not visit a massage parlor, was cleared of all charges. But Rain had been criticized earlier in the year for taking time from his military duties to visit his girlfriend actress Kim Tae Hee. Although he was honorably discharged after the scandal, it has not completely died down. A few weeks ago a citizen filed a complaint about his behavior while serving in the military.

Will future actor recruits be assigned to the most dangerous operations? Probably not, unless they have volunteered to do so. But even if there is no celebrity recruit status, celebrities will be more closely monitored now and have fewer privileges which Korean citizens feel is only fair.

The preview shows Rain at his house, and shows a rather comical side of him as he attempts to change his pants without revealing too much on camera. It ends, however, on a more serious note, as Rain seems to be getting angry, tosses something to the side and says, "Then don't!".

Each maintains the best online catalogs for K-Pop performances and produces some of the largest Christmas programs dedicated to K-Pop. Singer Rain (his real name is Jung Jihoon) has finished shooting a music video for his new song on the 14th, and the countdown to his comeback to the stage has begun.

 

According to his agency 'Cube DC', Rain has completed shooting a music video for his new album's title track in a professional studio located in Gwangtan-myeon, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea, for five days from December10-14.

 

The agency told Star News today, "Rain has shot two music videos, each with a different theme. He can work as a singer with a title track or with double title track (two title tracks), but further details are yet to be determined. We are trying to decide whether he will shoot extra music videos for other tracks except the two or not. We'll gradually decide what to do, putting the finishing touches to his new album during the post-production stage."

 

It is reported that even though Rain worked through the night to shoot music videos, there were no bags under his eyes, and instead, he encouraged the staffs.

 

An official with the agency said, "Filming took place up to today. Despite the cold weather, Rain was very considerate of others even when he ought have winded down after an exhausting day in cold weather. He was seen maintaining a professional demeanour throughout."

 

It is known that Rain has put so much work not only into music, but also into music video, ahead of his actual comeback. He is planning to show the intensity of his performances, each with a different theme.

 

In particular, to provide his fans with the best-quality music videos possible, Rain has worked with visual artist 'Lumpens', who composed singer 'Jo Young-pil's 'Hello' which gave music fans a refreshing jolt.

 

Next January 6th, Rain will release a new album for the first time in four years, and 'Jung Ji-hoon' as a human being will be shown in Mnet's 'Rain Effect' on the afternoon of the 19th, with the process of preparing to comeback to the stage.

 

The production crew confidently said, "Our camera crew is accelerating shooting, spending months following the trail of Rain who currently held a concert tour in Japan, etc. An up close and personal view of his life will vividly be given to his fans."

Churro King (츄로킹), a company that makes authentic Spanish churros in Korea, blogged yesterday the 14th about how they had the pleasure of catering on the sets of Rain’s new music videos on the 12th and 13th of this month.

One call from HS Media, who was in charge of the shoot, and off the Churro King food truck went to keep all the staff and dancers (in their Desente ski wear) as warm as possible with hot churros and coffee because, as you know, South Korea is in the throes of snow and harsh winter temperatures right now.

Our Naoko [harudoful] did some investigating and submits this short blurb from the company’s 12/14 post:

“Shortly after noon of 12th, the opening day, I was requested to come by 5 PM. There was the winter storm warning on the radio, so I went at such a slow speed that snow started to accumulate on my side mirrors. As I was unable to make it by the due time, I called them, and a media staff told me to come slowly, in a voice like an angel. As soon as I arrived at the shooting location and finished setting up, Rain came by. He was so wonderful, even in man’s view. On 13th, I received a call from media staff again. In the room, Rain was in the middle of shooting, so I watched, and took one cut of photo.” — Churro King

It is written that finally the huge success of Rain’s album is wished and that it is expected that Rain will always be lively and cool.
