We will do both LED garlands and Rice garlands for the FMT on 12 October

credit : huhuhuhu

To all of you who have participated in the garland project for the fan meeting on 12 October:

I am sorry for all the last minute changes, I need to update you all on the current situation and seek your understanding and tolerance.

As the fan meeting is going to be private and not open to the public, we were told from the beginning that there will not be any charity donation in terms of rice garland donation.  However it seems appropriate for world clouds to send flower garlands to Rain as this is his first official appearance in Korea.  It is further decided that the Cloud will not be officially involved and the supporters will do the coordination voluntarily for this initiative.  The supporters are therefore working independently on their respective regions.

Thanks to the very positive support from world clouds, we have now over 70 garlands to be delivered to Rain on 12 October.   This is probably beyond the expectation of the company and we are now informed that it might actually be better if we could channel part of this for rice garland donation.

I am sure world clouds would love to do a rice garland charity donation in lieu of flower garlands and I have inquired if it is possible to change all the overseas LED garlands to rice garlands.

Unfortunately we cannot do this.  Commitment has been made to the LED garland supplier and we need to meet the minimum commitment of 30 garlands.  In addition to this, we will not be able to enjoy the volume discount and the price will be 100,000 KRW per garland (US$95).

After discussion amongst the supporters, we have decided we will keep the minimum 30 LED garlands, and the remaining ones will be changed to rice garlands.  The basic rice garland donation is also 100,000 KRW (US$95)for a 10kg rice garland.

For the overseas garlands excluding Japan, I need to designate 20 LED garlands and the remaining RICE garlands by 8 October.   I have therefore done the exercise by splitting our garlands as follows:

LED garlands: 20

China: 4

Hawaii:4

Hong Kong:3

Malaysia: 1

Mexico:1

Taiwan: 1

Thailand:1

USA: 4

Vietnam:1

RICE garlands: 30

Chile: 1

China: 4

France: 1

Hawaii: 4

Hong Kong: 4

Malaysia: 2

Mexico: 1

Peru: 1

Philippines: 1

Taiwan: 1

Thailand: 1

Turkey: 1

Uruguay,Spain, Mexico: 1

USA: 6

Vietnam:1

Sorry I am not able to write to each of you individually to seek your agreement but I want to assure you both LED and RICE garlands are for the same purpose: to send in our congratulations and best wishes to RAIN and I am sure he appreciates our thoughts whether it is LED or RICE garlands. I believe It is also good for media coverage to have as many countries as possible represented in both.

For those who sent in US$80, there is now a shortfall of US$15 whether it is for LED or RICE garland.  I will write to you individually to see how to deal with this.

I am really, really sorry for this to happen and many thanks again for your support and understanding.
