Hot on the heels of Lotte Duty Free's 2015 model line-up being revealed, another business unit of the Lotte Group conglomerate has announced their face for the year. South Korean entertainer and mega-star Rain (a.k.a. Jung Ji Hoon) has been named brand ambassador for Lotte Hotels & Resorts until January 2016.

 

The new images finally released in the Lotte Hotel Global Gallery are handsome indeed.

This is the continuation of a successful relationship. Rain has been linked with Lotte subsidiaries in the past — shopping brand Lotte Duty Free in Korea and Japan, in particular. As a singer, he participated in Lotte Family Concerts from 2007 through 2010. He is also one of the elite group of Hallyu Wave entertainers who have been showcased in the interactive halls of Lotte Star Avenue.

Lotte Hotels posted behind-the-scenes images of Rain's photo shoots on their Weibo account a few weeks ago. I'm thinking a CF or two might be coming down the pike as well.

Rain joins an already impressive list of Lotte Hotels ambassadors past — Lee Joon Ki, Big Bang, Kim Jeong Hoon, Lee Min Ho — and present, four professional baseball players with the Lotte Giants in Busan.

With all of the model and spokesperson star power (and eye candy galore, for everyone!) that they've amassed for 2015, it looks like yet another good year for the Lotte Group.

RAIN has also an image that could be described as both "strong and soft". Consumers' tastes are changing anywhere. That's why, cosmetic companies increasingly hire male models for broader consumer base.

Most switched over to Instagram, which RAIN has also one I supposed. I guess it’s still strong, that's what I was thinking because he’s still using this. Well, I believe everything starts with Twitter. I notice that he uses Twitter a lot. Artist on Twitter seem pretty neat – hahaha. I believe it’s still one of the most frequently used SNS. I guess Facebook is starting to be a site for old people. LOL - Most of my peers only keep FB around to keep in contact with old classmates & their families. And businesses are using it to promote more.as well.

As the marriage rumors surrounding celebrity couple, Kim Tae Hee and Rain, continue, their friend as well as Rain's father stepped up to discuss their relationship.  

 

Rain's father, Mr. Jung, recently met with a media outlet for an interview to reveal his official stance on the marriage rumor.  He said, "Currently, Rain and Kim Tae Hee are dating well.  In relation to marriage, the two will decide on their own when the time comes.  We have not done a meeting of the parents.

 

"It would be nice if Rain and Kim Tae Hee got married as soon as possible, but it's not something that should go my way.  If the two have thoughts on getting married, they will reveal this later through the media."

In addition, a friend of both Rain and Kim Tae Hee said on May 4, "They're a couple that are truly good together.  Their attachment [for each other] are deep to the point you could say they give you goosebumps.  They value and protect each other.  It's to the point that anybody who saw them could call them the quintessential couple.

 

"They are also on the terms to preserve etiquette towards each other for sure even as they get closer.  They don't behave shamefully or say things to be shameful about.  If anything, they act more cautiously so that the other person doesn't get hurt."

Kim Tae Hee‘s father spoke up to the public for the first time, denying the recent wedding talks between Kim Tae Hee and Rain.

The hallyu couple Kim Tae Hee and Rain hit #1 search trend in South Korea with their wedding rumours. Despite the recent media extensive coverages regarding Rain’s proposal, their families’ blessing and possible wedding plans for this ear, both of their agencies have denied the rumours.

In addition to the statements, Kim Tae Hee’s father also made his own statement and tactfully stated that, “They are not in the stage to talk about marriage. Currently, Rain and Kim Tae Hee are seeing each other well. When the time comes, the two will decide on their marriage. However, we have not had the formal bow between the both families.
