KBS' 'Music Bank' is back for its weekly show featuring performances by your favorite artists! 

On this episode, Rain returned with "30SEXY" and "La Song", Ailee made it known that her "Singing Got Better", Dal Shabet came back with "B.B.B.", K-Much debuted with "Good to Go", Kim Kyung Rok teamed up with Block B's P.O for "It's Not a Big Deal", Airplane made their comeback with "How R U?", and F.T. Island's Seunghyun and Song Eun Yi got together as Two Song Place for "Age-Height".

As for the winner, the first place nominees were IU and Rain, but in the end, Rain won this episode with "La Song"! Congratulations!

Other performers of the night were TVXQ, VIXX, Girl's Day, TASTY, The Boss, HISTORY, Wassup, Timber, Kim So Jung, 1N1, and Kim Jong Suh.

Rain was a specially invited guest on the January 10 installment of KBS 2TV's 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook.'



Yoo Hee Yeol asked the question that may have been on a lot of people's minds lately, "Is there a song in relation to that person?" Of course the first name that would pop up in everyone's head would be Rain's celebrity girlfriend, Kim Tae Hee. The singer looked flustered, so Yoo Hee Yeol cleverly added, "I'm talking about J.Y. Park."



Rain carefully said, "Coincidentally, there are a lot of love songs in this album. Think what you want about songs related to that person."





Yoo Hee Yeol decided to take on the challenge himself, diligently studying Rain's new album and reciting some lyrics, "How could this be. You are so pretty. You are really perfect for me. I need you. Only you."



Rain laughed and explained, "I watched a Marilyn Monroe movie and only wrote those based on Marilyn Monroe as a trend."

On the January 9th installment of Mnet's 'Rain Effect,' singer Rain touched his fans' hearts by opening up about his feelings during his visit to his mother's final resting place.



He said, "I call on my mother whenever I release an album. I think I need to give her my greetings and pray a lot, asking her to make this album another success." Rain went to a nearby florist to purchase lovely flowers for his mother, and then visited his mother's resting place to express how much he missed her and to tell her about new things that have happened since his last visit.





Rain revealed, "I asked her to never let me get tired of it all. I asked her to help me do my best, so I would never get tired of everything... After earning money, I wanted to do something like buy her a meal or clothes at least once. I still regret that I did not get to do that... The people I most envy are those who still have a mother."

Rain going on ‘1 Night 2 Days’

Rain, who released “Rain Effect” last week, his sixth album, will show a more down-to-earth side to TV viewers in a new reality program.

The singer recently completed filming for an episode of the popular entertainment show “1 Night 2 Days,” an industry expert said yesterday.

It has not been decided when the episode will go on air.

Meanwhile, Rain posted a message on his Twitter account yesterday to show his gratitude for his fans’ support.

“Thank you so much for [Thursday], and I’ll put in more effort,” he said, while being honored at the top spot of the weekly music chart “M Countdown,” which appears on a popular music show of cable channel Mnet.

He also posted a photo of himself holding the trophy he got on Thursday. During the program he performed his new songs “30 Sexy” and “La Song” for the first time since they were released last week.

Singer Rain has been nominated in five different categories out of nine in the 2014 World Music Awards.

The nominees for the international awards show were recently revealed, and living up to his title of a world star, Rain made the list in five categories: World’s Best Song with “30SEXY,” World’s Best Video, World’s Best Male Artist, World’s Best Live Act, and World’s Best Entertainer.

The sexy star made his comeback after a four-year hiatus with his sixth studio album on January 1, and has already recorded his first music show win. In addition, he has been cast in the upcoming Hollywood movie “The Prince,” which is currently in the filming stages.

World Music Awards has been held annually since 1989, and it is broadcast to 160 countries all around the world. Other K-pop artists nominated this year include PSY (World’s Best Live Act, World’s Best Song, World’s Best Male Artist, World’s Best Video with “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman“), SHINee (World’s Best Album, World’s Best Entertainer, World’s Best Live Act), 2NE1 (World’s Best Live Act, World’s Best Group), G-Dragon (World’s Best Entertainer, World’s Best Male Artist), and Trouble Maker (World’s Best Song and World’s Best Music Video), with many other popular acts nominated in one or two categories.

Choo Sa Rang put on her poker face as she blankly stared at the screen, making Rain try to get a reaction from her with his hand movements to no avail. What was even more adorable was when Choo Sa Rang showed off her strength which she got from her MMA fighter dad.

Singer Rain is looking at scripts for TV dramas.

 

Recently, Rain told Donga.com, "I've been performing as both a singer and actor, traveling between Korea and Hollywood, but I, on the other hand, am looking at scripts for TV dramas in Korea."

 

Rain has devoted himself to shooting a film and to doing artistic work, keeping him away from acting in a drama after his KBS TV drama 'Fugitive:Plan B' in 2010.

 

Rain added, "I'd like to play a role in a drama which has a human story, like the drama, 'Sangdoo, Let's Go To School' starring actress 'Gong Hyo-jin' and me in the past."

 

Meanwhile, Rain returned to the music scene with his 6th regular album 'Rain Effect' last 2nd after a three-year and nine-month absence. His title songs of the album 'Rain Effect', which are composed and written by himself, were number one on the Mnet Mcountdown and the KBS 'Music Bank' charts, on the 9th and 10th, respectively.
