So what's the use of closing threads of people who post random links to sites if you don't actually remove the link itself as well?

the person still has the chance to advertise his/her link because the link is not removed

duh.. cant the mods just delete the topic.. wouldnt that be better..maybe annoying if those keep going on like that..

It's been stated that it takes a lot of resources to delete topics.

hmm - if this is occuring, it's an oversight by the person who closed it. i'll post a reminder in the mod forum about this

(as to deleting all closed threads - it's so people can see that they were actually closed for a reason, so we don't get the same people posting - WHAT HAPPENED TO MY THREAD!!)
