what sort of sponge should we use?

mst we use the kinds sold in nail shops...are there any suitable substitutions?

You don't have to use exactly ones from the nail shop. I have one specifically for nails and one I found at Michael and they both work just fine.

Michael's were around 35 cent each while the etude gradient sponge was $3 ish on ebay.

It does but that's when you're done with all your nails. The nail polish remain moist until you leave it alone for couple of minutes

mine was a blue-pearl gradient with glitter and a lavender-pearl with glitter, it turned out really well but after that i could never do it as good LOL
