Thanks [Fifi] and [xmikix] for your help!!!

i called up the course advisor and she apparently said that there is no pre-req. to do the follow up unit in semester two *confused*

but if i do have to repeat, they`s have to send me a letter or email or something right? i guess i`ll just have to wait till then if this is the case.

Anyone going to do beginner japanese next year? imma thinking of doing that as an elective if my faculty allows it, i`ve always been interested in learning a new language after i`d finished yr12 chinese =D

You're welcome! So with a failed unit, you will receive a letter just saying that you have and it's like some kind of 'warning' about failing several units may result in dismissal or something... It was the first time I'd received a letter so threatening lol.

If say you failed a prerequisite unit (since usually in first year you start off with prereqs), you don't have to repeat it in semester two... like you can repeat it the year after or something. I reckon it'll be good to do it again the following semester since the material is still fresh in your head.

Don't worry too much about failing~ If it happens, then the more reason to do better next time! ^^ It certainly made me concentrate more XD

the best coffee is obviously coffeeHQ at clayton :) cos i work there.

omg smashy! are you the asian guy with the 1 earring that makes the coffee??

And to SUPERd.

I believe you need at least a D average to change into the course you want. It isn't hard if you get just keep up your grades! I manage to do so you can too! And I don't think you need to be an Arts student to do a language. As long as your course allows you to do electives, then you can pick whatever you want as long as your course lets you ^^
