rumor is sony is planning on releasing a umd-free psp system called PSP Go!

well kinda expected i guess after the umd's didn't really sell

hoping future game titles would still support my psp slim

lets say you would still pay the same for the DL like you would if you went to get the UMD

how would you feel if they did that

^that would be nice but i would still prefer the DL ones,

just because of the hassle free of carrying multiple umd's

and changing them

if sony could have thought this sooner they could have sold more games

or unit's i guess

I have a PSP 2001. I'm fine with it. All I do is listen to music on it and play some games. The best thing is that I have all the games I want. It took me forever to search for them too.

Ah really? I seem to be outdated with this. So how do I go about doing this on my PSP? I really want to play more than one game, especially for my 14 hour plane ride. I have no idea what you're talking about because I know little to nothing about the PSP. What are some unlocked features of a PSP?

with my extended battery i'd probably get 10 hours on low light for a game

^^ got mine for $50 in dec-jan. used a price match in best buy from a cicuit city catalog lol before they went out of business and best buy stopped honoring it.

im thinking of selling my PSP Slim.

well base on the looks it doesn't look like its comfortable after playing for

2 hours at least and no dual anlog so sad

but kind of curious on the specs though now that they removed the

whole UMD thing what could they have put in its place bigger memory

larger battery ,a better processing unit or something

do hope they show this at E3

Do you mind converting videos because the PSP is as picky about video formats as the ipods are... with a hacked psp you can watch some youtube videos but otherwise most aren't compatible.

Web browsing is horrendous, I only used it like two times and typing the URL in drove me nuts. It makes using the keypad of a phone feel like typing on a keyboard.

i finally bought my first game(god of war), but i'm really not liking the whole UMD thing so far. if i move the psp a bit, it'll ask if i want to quit the game even though the game doesn't pause. beating a boss where i have to hit L+R quickly is a nightmare. are all UMDs like this? cuz if they are, i'm not buying another one ever again...

That's the first that I've ever heard the PSP act like that. I have God of War on UMD as well and played it all the way without that ever happening. But there's something under the home button?

^ oh. some of the downloaded videos i watch are from Google Video (mostly Korean Variety Shows & such)... and Google Video is pretty good because it has a link available for each video, where you can dl the format for purposes of watching on your psp/ipod.

Are you saying one is better off with the iTouch than the psp?
