Does DC know YR is not pregnant by now ? In the hospital conversation, DC said to YR you are not alone by yourself now. Does this mean he will be by her side or she has the baby to think of?

When I first view it, my first impression is DC trying to tell YR he will be with her. But now come to think of it, he may refer to the baby.

anytime nazznen....... :)

all those mafia's gonna want that spot. i'm guessing big war coming. Plus DW vs DC gonna get out of control.....

DC still believes YR is pregnant... only Guk and Janice (and the Doctor that lied to DC) are the 1s that know YR is not pregnant...

DC's statement towards YR of always being with her from now on was because of the promise he made towards her father to not let YR out of his sight...and knowing DC he will keep that promise :P

I don't think DC know's YR faked her pregnancy yet. In the hospital conversation, DC said one thing i can promise you is that i'll be by ur side no matter wut happens. YR also questions DC, wut's wut the long conversation with a sick person? Wuz he talking about me?

DC: no..... just business talk. He wanted me to make sure I succeed on the kangwon do project.

YR: u sure that wuz it? after more bla bla bla.

YR wanted DC to promise her that he won't be involve in casino again.

DC: GUKJA the promise i can give u is just one thing, that i'll be by ur side, when ever u need me i'll always be there.

^ savingwork Your analysis is so good . It is way confusing right now. The plot just do not seem to fit into the original concept of writer NA story of EOE as someone pointed out earlier.Just so disappointing but I have to say YJH and PHJ acting on the last scene is just classic and good.Waiting for more insight

Thanks

Can’t agree more with you regarding the actors skills; they capture emotions so well leaving us wanting to see more and more. Actually everyone is doing fantastic jobs, let's hope it all ends well :D .

.............

The reason he can't tell is bekuzz u know dong wooks personality he goes by law. law law law .....

if he tell's that to dongwook that (I Lee Dong Chul did money laundering for Lee Dong Wook) wut do u think DW would do? and how do u think he'll feel. I think the writer is saving this part for the last. He won't be able to go on with the guk's case that whole team is doing......

....

legally in korea they can block DW from becoming prosecutor or any government position, bekuzz he wuz a protestor against the government. In korea that is a big crime but DW got off easy kuzz of DC. Without DC's help DW would never have been special prosecutor or any kind of government job.

man this drama is like a puzzle or jeopardy where we have to guess and make us confusse

Thanks kchild702 for the insight regarding Korean government and protesting. It makes it a little easier to watch and understand the events.

Regarding what will DW do when he know what DC is hiding, I agree it would be interesting to watch that plot unfolds. The writers sure did put DC character as well as DW in a tight spot. DW struggle between STH-DC, DC struggle between self fulfillment-family(DW).

btw thanks for translating the preview. :)

just like to add about the interview of PHJ with the japanese host(details at PHJ thread)-BTW he speaks pretty good japanese where he emphasized that FEELING and FEELING is very critical to an actor's protrayal of a character. Certainly a good plot and script that is believable and convincing is an added bonus to help them achieve this . My personal view is also that it is vital in a particular given scene ,your co-actors does not let you down with the emotion require to complete the whole atmosphere. If not, it would leave a very disappointing effect to the whole scene.Which is why that final scene of ep48 , both PHJ and YJH did a fantastic job with their professional acting skills. Looking forward to more insight for a creditable ending to the whole drama.A happy ending is one thing , it has to end on the right note . it does not matter to me that it has a sad ending if it ends well.

SandGlass or hourglass still holds the record as one of few great epic Kdrama.Has hold this record for more than a decade.None of the recent dramas have reached its level according to the industry's experts. It has a sad ending but it has one of the best written script and plot.Ironically MBC and the original writer was going to follow its plot pattern with EOE in the beginning but had sadly drifted very far away since..

Extract of the Political turmoil of Korea in the 1980s taken from the synopsis of the tv series Sand glass-which EOE also based its story. Hope this help in the better understanding and motivation of the characters behind EOE.

One unforgettable subject that's dealt in the drama is the 1980 Gwangju Democratization Movement when the head of the military junta that took over Korea after the assassination of President Park Chung Hee, General Chun Doo Hwan, sent paratroopers into Kwangju to put down the rebellion. What happened was the subsequent massacre of hundreds of innocent people. The horrific scenes based on true accounts, of those people being murdered, touched off a deep sense of shock and grief for the Koreans at that time (the mid 90's Korea still had not come to terms with what happened after governments muzzled the free speech). After this drama went on air, there were more films that were made dealing with this very subject, such as The Petal (1996) and Peppermint Candy (2000). It also put ex-President Chun Doo Hwan who was responsible for the massacre, in jail.

yea that's sadly true that after president park chung hee wuz assinataed by his most trusted man kim jae kyu who wuz the head of KCIA, (now its NIS)

Chun Doo Hwan, wut he did wuz a military coup and he wuz a 1 star general, and he had 4 star general of the military arrested and he had all kinds of general's arrested and non followers as well. Chun and his best friend Roh tae woo who became president later on helped chun carrying out military the coup.

Civil war wuz about to break out back then kuzz u got chun's people on one side and Chung sung hwas people on the other side. (Chung sung hwa wuz the 4 star general at that time) so he's followers vs chun's and chun won. They had tanks spread out all over korea and special forces killing each other.

plus on top of all this protesters vs military, the result like marly said lot's of people died report's r up to 2000 or so. MBC studio they sided with the regim of chun so, the people of kwangju got pissed and burn the MBC studio.

After all that he basically forced the president back then (Choi Kyu hwa), who wuz prime minister under park chung hee's administration's, to resign and he took over.

While in power he wuz so corrupted that if big companies don't pay up, he'll make sure banks don't give u the loan u need to run the company. He had this big shoe making company shut down for not paying up.

Chun wuz tried for treason and coup and sentence to death at the trial but he appeal and gave him life sentence. Roh got something like 27yrs.

Chun and Roh took so much bribe man these to stole so much money from the governement. They still haven't recover the money yet. they recover lots of money and seized chun and roh's estates but still not all of them. chun doo hwan's wife and his son took money as well. they all got arrested but now r free like a bird. kuzz of that dumb president kim young sam. Lot's of people in south korea r calling him a sellout.

So, back then it wuz Chung Wa Dae (Blue House) that gave orders. The prosecution team or special prosector's couldn't do crap kuzz of CWD. If they don't follow orders they'll be out of job.

Sure when Kim Young Sam did the anti-corruption thing but before hez term wuz up he pardon all of those who particpated in the coup. Chun Doo Hwan and Roh Tae Woo and etc etc are free.

Sad but true.

Now this is the guy Kim Young Sam who wuz under house arrest for no reason durning that time.

Kim Dae Jung got blame for making student protest against the government, so he wuz jailed.

THanks kchild702 for the in depth information. It now gives a more accurate picture to the whole drama.Your insight set the right mood to EOE and gives the viewers the right understanding to the motivation and corrupted actions of the characters involved in the money laundering plots. It also let us know why and what obstacles the prosecutors are heading into too.It certainly is not a good job to be in especially with corruption from the top office..It also enable us to understand DW and DC more and the reasons behind their actions. They are representatives of the 2 different side of the Law .

Iwatched the 5 Eps today till Ep48, I really hate DW & JH.. how come he betray his brother who scarifice his life in order to make him for what he is now, ungrateful, selfish & greedy DW.. since whne he become so caring for STH as his father.. MH suffers the most & he is brave to choose leaving STH family & choosing to avenge his father LKC, since GDW will dies soon I want STH too to folllow him to the Hell :tongue2: dunno what will happen or what kind of ending this drama will have but nothing but a happy ending will satisfied us after watching for these long months, I don't want to regret watching it so don't want anything bad happen to the three brothers.. :sweatingbullets:
