Guest monchichi
You could pick up the Nyko Perfect Shot, I've heard good things about on another forum. For $15 I'd say it's reasonable. http://gear.ign.com/articles/841/841403p1.html Oooh.. thanks! I think I like this one more than the zapper... and the price is attractive as well though it'll be more for me I think because I'm in Australia (unless that's the AUD price...) Guest tomster
^Pfft. Getting a Wii was an upgrade from the Xbox 180. Oops I meant 360*. Ramble all they want and hate it or love it, the underdog's on top. I'm all for the Wii despite its lack of hardware specs and 'outdated graphics'. And I happened to quote that because it's like every other system emphasizes that over innovation which was Nintendo's goal afterall. I mean.. Am I the only one who could care less for the graphics? Guest Velocitii
i dont think the wii and xbox are on the same level its completely different xbox and ps3 are competing with each other, tahts what they should focus on and wii's sales are through the roof compared to xbox's comparing wii and xbox is like comparing an apple to a lamp
Guest knickstorm
do you guys this wii can survive without getting 3rd parties to make games for it?? the control scheme's gonna be difficult, maybe if it comes to it, wiii makes another more standard controller too? chicken fly lice
wii is a good system,. but if its your only system, its meh....it has some good games ill admit that. but i think you should also get a ps3 or 360 to go along with the wii, so you get the best of both worlds. nintendo made games with few good 3rd party games, and the other system for its exclusives, and its exellent 3rd party support
Guest CK92842
Oooh.. thanks! I think I like this one more than the zapper... and the price is attractive as well though it'll be more for me I think because I'm in Australia (unless that's the AUD price...) Glad to help out. I just never saw the appeal of the Wii zapper especially with it's fire from the hip aiming. http://www.gamepro.com/news.cfm?article_id=158768 microsoft saying wii's not sustainable, has graphic limits,,,,,,just wondering what you guys thought. I own a 360 and I will say this, MSFT is always gonna be competing for that market share Nintendo has tapped into which is the casual gamer. When I have friends and family over, just one system gets playtime and that's the Wii. Also what I appreciate about the Wii is not having to deal with the scum of the earth that is the Xbox Live community. This past week alone I must've blocked and muted over 50 annoying gamers either going off at the mouth with their incessant rambling or blasting their poor choice of music over their microphone. And like many gamers before me have said so, graphics alone doesn't make a great game. A perfect example would be Assassin's Creed. Great looking game but in the end all style and no substance. do you guys this wii can survive without getting 3rd parties to make games for it?? the control scheme's gonna be difficult, maybe if it comes to it, wiii makes another more standard controller too? 3rd party for the Wii is there and even more than the GC and that's saying alot this early on in the game. My only gripe is that 3rd party developers are only creating games for the Wii just for a quick buck since development is not as costly when compared to the PS3 & 360. I'm not exactly sure how long Nintendo will sustain the momentum it has riding at the moment but looking ahead in 2008 after Mario Kart on the Wii then what else is there? Guest knickstorm
so how long do you think the wii can keep it up? will the bubble burst? or are there enough casual gamers out there to keep things going for a while? I mean if you're a kid, your parents will probably buy you the cheaper more fam friendly wii i'd assume.

What do you think microsoft is going to say? "Nintendo's console is much better than ours!" Of course they're going to say that, they're pushing their own product. DUH. In any case, the two consoles are NOT the same. One is an HD system. It's about graphics and OOOO's and AHHH's. Wii is all about gameplay. And the gameplay is AWESOME, let me tell you. Guest RS Trax
^ Go in to the Wii Options, and look for Location or Country to select language or etc. Otherwise it could be the hardware since it's a Japanese SKU rather than a US. Wii Shop is varied by the region where the system is made for. Virtual Console releases for today include the following. Harvest Moon Super NES 1 player Rated E for Everyone 800 Wii Points Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvest_Moon_%28SNES%29 Lords of Thunder TurboGrafx-16 CD-ROM 1 player Rated E for Everyone Fantasy Violence 800 Wii Points Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lords_of_Thunder -------------- Wii releases this week (North American): MX vs. ATV Untamed Wiki Nintendo DS releases this week (North American): Dungeon Explorer: Warrior of Ancient Arts IGN Command and Destroy IGN Barnyard Blast IGN YouTube FIFA Street 3 IGN Official Website New Zealand Story: Revolution IGN -------------- Japanese publication Famitsu magazine has revealed a number of new details for Mario Kart Wii. Famitsu has now confirmed that the bikes are allowed use in Cup races, along with their ability to perform special tricks like wheelies. Each driver will come with different vehicles. Baby Peach and Boo will join the roster of playable characters. Gamers will be able to race with their Miis as well. New Courses: "Mushroom Cup" Luigi Circuit Moo Moo Country Mushroom Canyon Toad Factory "Flower Cup" Mario Circuit Coconuts Mall DK Snowboard Cross Wario Mines Old Courses: "Shell Cup" GC Peach Beach DS Yoshi Falls SFC Ghost Swamp 2 64 Mario Circuit "Banana Cup" 64 Sherbert Land GBA Hey Ho Beach DS Monty Town GC Waluigi Stadium Mario Kart Wii will be the first home console edition of the franchise to feature online play. Races will expand to include 12 players instead of the typical eight. Players will also be able to share time attack scores and race "ghosts" online. Global and local rankings will be available to online players. Famitsu mentioned an online league, but did not clearly specify how people can participate. Outside of racing, players can partake in the online battle mode. Mario Kart Wii is expected to be released in Japan on April 10, with a North American and Europe somewhere around the same, Australia late March 2008. Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_kart_wii --------------- The latest issue of Edge magazine has revealed new information about the upcoming Wii game LEGO Indiana Jones. The game will parody the three Stephen Spielberg-directed films originally released during the 1980s. Players will lead Indiana Jones through 18 levels filled with Lego-sized renditions of the main characters and classic moments from the movies. Jones' iconic whip will be used to attack enemies, latch onto objects in the environment and more. Players will also be able to dig for weapons and other bonus items. Unlike in the Lego Star Wars games, Lego Indiana Jones will impose an ammo limit. According to Edge, Lego Indiana Jones is funnier and more open than its Star Wars counterpart, with Traveller's Tales Director Jon Burton describing the game as a "careful next step" for the LEGO game franchise. The 'careful' approach led, in part, to the removal of Nazis and Nazi references in the title. "Lego [has] already replaced them with an anonymous genocidal, occultist, trenchcoat-wearing master-race," the studio explained. "That said, we like to reinforce the fact that these really are terrible, terrible people." Lego Indiana Jones is expected to be released on multiple platforms including Wii this June. Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego_Indiana_...:_The_Videogame -------------- Stephen Spielberg has finally revealed his latest video game creation, in partner with EA, here's Boom Blox. YouTube: BOOM BLOX offers action-packed interactive activities that takes Wii play to a new level of creativity and fun with single player, co-op, and versus gameplay. Players can explore the visceral gameplay-perfectly suited for the Wii's interactivity-that keeps them destroying their way through brain-twisting challenges. They can interact with entertaining characters such as the Blox-laying chickens or the baseball throwing monkeys, who bring personality to the Tiki, Medieval, Frontier, and Haunted themed environments. Additionally, players can remix any level of the game in Create Mode using props, blocks, or characters that have been unlocked during the game. Players can also virtually build anything they can dream up. Plus, their designs can then be shared with friends or used to challenge others to solve their newly created puzzle via WiiConnect24™. Launching in May 2008 for North America and Europe. Official website: http://www.boomblox.ea.com/ -------------- Catch up on previous Wii News & Updates on my Xanga blog. Guest colorstoobright
^ There's the little area on the console that you can flip open (under the reset/power buttons) with a red sync button. Press that along with the sync button the wii remote (open the battery cover). I pre-ordered Okami today! I can't wait for that game even though it's going to get dusty while i play Brawl x999, but I'll get to it eventually..
