  1. I finish watching sub and there're obviously more interesting things.

First, I like the translation "She was our comrade. And lover." It's like a win-win translation which gets more confusing but also the finest one we can have for now LOL.

Second, even though Jin Oh keeps saying he loves Seol, but there's still something hidden in him. His words have double meaning. Especially this line "Will you let Baek Tae-min take everything from you? From your work, "Fate", to woman, Jeon Seol?" This character's already revealed but he's still so mysterious (and he's the reason I stick to the show)

I agree with @petalsandleaves Jinoh was like a leader to the group. He supported Hwiyoung talent. He was like a mentor to Soo Hyun too. He knew abt strength and weakness of his comrades. He was rich, talented and used all of it for activist.... Amen, please dont be another Ko Jung Won. I really curious with what causes his death.  Jin Oh even knew about the otp, or at least he knew Hwiyoung liked Soo Hyun, since he read the unfinished novel written by Hwiyoung. And he need the novel completed to know what happened in his last minutes... And I was like OMG, did he suicide after seeing or forcing his friends killed each other and died? And because this is not Goblin so he became a ghost not a grim reaper LMAO

But seriously, I dont hope for a type of drama that one character has everything and another has nothing. We have Baek Tae Min for the present, and now we need Yoo Jinoh for the past? No no no.  Died bcs of jealousy sounds a bit stupid here though... I mean it was wartime. I still believe Jin Oh was a righteous and carefree man. He was a man couldnt afford for 2 typewriters so he bought one for his friend. How can a man like that turn down for an unessential reason? Or I'll be like: Pardon me, was love that powerful? Then man, please love and save your country first.

Well I got goosebumps thinking what if the dog went home with Baek Tae Min. Jinoh may know how to deal with Baek, but the dog itself definitely cant. But I still feel sorry for Baek. He suddenly have to share his home and his dad to someone talented than him... and along with his mother's ideas... Oh, gods bless him.

Jin Oh said abt how Bangjin can see him like she is just a shaman's daughter. But I still think she's more than just a random girl. Well, she's writing about reincarnation, and  she can see ghost (enough material to be a heroine in another fantasy drama) We already have a shaman here. So she must have a role in the whole past-present story. (or at least I expect she does)

Next episode, may we have a deep and wide look for 1930? I mean may we have more characters and events involved?

PS: Not related but Seju's physician has the same name with Cha Dohyun's physician in Kill me heal me. Both are Ho Pil. I dont know if it was just a coincidence.

    Oh... Shhhhhh. Dang. I boomed.

Or... Maybe he is playing with HSJ feelings? To know what HSJ/OHY feelings right now or back then? Oh well... I... *kinda speechless* and now I remember what @Miky88 said (if I'm not wrong) about crazy idea that the two (YJO-HSJ) switched soul. Haha

The sentence has no subject. So I dont know if there's a pun or truth or trick... or whatever it is. Because it's contradict to Jinoh's reaction in front of Seol caring for Seju. Maybe he just tell half of the whole sentence/a whole story. Maybe they were really a couple... I dont know. He's a liar and he has reason to do everything in order to persuade Seju to continue the novel... so my head is blank now. LOL We have to wait till next Fri to know more.

But if there's really a triangle, the ending scene with the three together just make me a bit shiver. Like...is there any man on earth look at her with innocent eyes?

PS: The fact that Bangjin can see ghost make me surprise too. So she's just a random support character here? I was hoping for more women voices in drama T_T

  3. Tonight episode is freaking crazy, I laugh to death. Yoo Ah In and Ko Kyung Pyo didnt disappoint us at all.

But the ending scene :bawling: To all who wish for a triangle love, here's Seju and Jinoh conversation at the end

Seju: "니가 말하는 전생에 전설도 있어?" "Was Jeon Seol in the previous life you say?"

JinOh: "그녀의 이름은 류수현이고. 우리의 동지이자.연인이었습니다." "That girl's name was Ryu Soo Hyun. Our comrade. She was my lover."

Pardon me, but i still keep my faith that true friendship really exist. Because the way Jinoh look at Seol and Seju is not that way (or at least I didnt see it that way).

  4. The rating is really disappointing. I was surprised with its decrease but I think this rating is understandable somehow. I'm sorry this maybe a criticize post from my pov.

CT has excellent acting from the 2 male leads but Im So Jung acting sometimes cant reach the point. Her eyes're blank. That's why I prefer 1930 seol more, she looks more vivid there. And the supporting roles too. Gak Manager is annoying. Bangjin and her mom’s appearance are incoherent. Every episode, I think the mother just show up to tell spirit really exist... and the daughter to tell the female lead what happened on Internet.

Mentioning abt 'every episode', Seol admires Seju, disagrees and angry with him, tries to explain, and oh, she doesnt know how she was for him. That's a great point but it keeps that way for every episode up to now. BTW I love their talk in Subway... and just feel it will be better if it wasnt in Subway. PPL distracting me LOL.

I dont know how Japanese occupation theme goes with SK viewers. It may be a theme for so many movies but we are talking abt drama, and this is a fantasy one. I was introduced to this drama with it as the highlight. Like I wait to know their past and how it makes the present, but they just keep giving hint that there's a tragedy and it'll be told later. Even if they want to focus on the present time which can be considered as the consequence of or parallel with of the past, lack of past scene leads to the lack of the vibes and connection. And I feel like present is another story. Some said that it was just ep5, if they show up everything now, what will be left for the rest. But I mean, not showing-up everything, but at least make a story growing in both 1930 and 2017.

I dont like the way they turn between 1930 and 2017 either. It's abt the feeling between the 2 periods of time. We need a path take us from time to time, like the scene when Seju jumped out the street and saw Jinoh burning a match to lead him to somewhere belong to 1930. Not just she and he see something in present and remember something in the past... and that’s confusing. Like they both see Jinoh’s face, and why no one, especially Seju, make question about the role of that guy in the story?

Finally, Baek Tae Min is a villain, that’s typical. And if there’s a triangle love in 1930 which makes Jin Oh betrayed the otp and now return to expiate his guilt, I may drop this drama asap. Simple reason… as if Kdrama don’t have anything new.

Anyway, I still enjoy this drama. I like the sarcasm of blacklist-of-novelist or can-i-write-freely-in-independent-Joseon... mocking Korean former government. And all the art and literature symbolism… which I really don’t care much. But I keep hoping for something freshing new in the next ep.

PS: Does ghost have shadow? Most of the time, invisible ghosts are visible in photo, right? (justkidding)

  5. I missed Baek Tae Min part in the beginning of the episode. It seems that he's a villain now, so I'll keep my hope that Jin Oh is a true-friend (even though his eyes in tonight episode sometimes freak me out LOL).

But seriously, I can understand Tae Min, but cant get his mom. What's wrong with her and Seju?

One more thing, since uri ghostwriter is a ghost writer, I hope for a pure friendship in 1930. Can we have a golden trio like.... in Harry Potter? Yes, I hope for it. It's wartime, people aim for independence. It's time of the greatest comradeship. It'd be affected if they had time for triangle-tragedy in the middle of the war. I hope the factor that lead to their tragedy is the contradiction in their sense of purpose.

BTW, can we see Jinoh's hairstyle in 1930? It's always hidden under the hat. See the gif, his hair's similar to Seju's. And both of them have the look of young age boys who get mature for their revolutionary idea.

  6. OMG, I've just finished streamline and it's so good.

Cant wait for tomorrow episode with the collaboration btw Seju and Jinoh. We will have some kind of mad novelist and a-ghost-around-his-house :)))

Yoo Ah In acting is really great in the scene he used Jinoh manuscript and decided to send or not. And Kyung Pyo acting when he offered the condition is a bit creepy, makes me wonder if he's really a friend-ghost.

apologies haven't gone through other posts as yet.. but i have to say after ep 4 i am in love with this series. I wasn' t so impressed with ep 1 and 2 but i think those episodes set it for us that there is a real ghost/spirit involved..

But by ep 4 it is so clear,

i love it that he is literally the ghost writer..

    1. him coming from the US and falling in love with heroine on first sight

    2. him wearing clothes same as 1930

    3. for shama to sense bad energy - if ghost is not bad energe then who? Maybe the daughter can see the ghost because she is fortune teller's daughter..

    4. In ep 1, when typewriter moved into YAI's house, the eyes of that painting (eugene) moved.. and for Yoo to use that painting's name to make up his own name

    5. when typewriter self wrote that it want to go to YAI, the cafe owner only saw typewriter writing an not the ghost so we didn't see it.. Only YAI can see the ghost

6.when editor came out of YAI's room, he did not look at the ghost.. yes the scene looks like they are talking to each other but closely, its yoo who alks to editor.. and follows him

    7. guess he wants  the lovers to unite or maybe to find a murderer (maybe the other writer would turn out tobe the murderer)

Totally agree with you. Since Yoo Jin Oh appears, the whole drama make a turning page. Everything become clearer. One of these is Jin Oh's a ghost (by now)

And for no.7, I wonder what is Yoo Jin Oh purpose too. It doesnt seem like he has any hatred of Seju. He still jokes around and prank Seju. Still a true friend, I mean. And the way he looks at Jeonseol is not like a lover. It's more like compassion. When Jin Oh said he fell for JS at the first sight since the day he arrived in Korea, we all know this character always lie with a serious face (he cant explain why he followed her as well) Btw, when Jinoh wrote the first chapters, didnt he make Hwiyoung and Soo Hyun a couple-to-be? I mean, he knew their relationship.

I hope that's right, bcs I'm not welcome any triangle love

So here my theory: Jin Oh wants to bring the two lovers back, or at least bring Seju back. Maybe there was something happened to the OT3 in 1930, Jin Oh knew all. Maybe there was other villain party related to Japanese. So Jeon Seol killed Seju. And Jin Oh may be the next target or the witness, bcs we see both men in her illusion. Jinoh then died but couldnt die, trapped himself in the typewriter waiting for Seju to make a revenge. That's why he leaves the message "bring me back to Han Se Ju." Who knows, when Jin Oh says he has to write the story, it maybe the way to reveal the truth. Well, I guess that Baek Tae Min related in the past too.

PS: remember Jinoh words: "Sinful people will be reincarnated as writers"

  8. Hi, I'm new there.

I had a marathon watching the first 3 episodes, and it was just not as my expectation. It's slow. Some scenes were cut and changed so fast, so I feel like we miss something. Like the dog... gosh, did Jeonseol still remember the dog? Now I've just finished ep 4 raw, and thing got clearer... until ep5 preview confusing me again.

I have to say since Yoo ghostwriter officially appear, the storyline became more interesting. Now we know Yoo Jin Oh is a fake name. And d*mn... my prediction is unbelievably right (for now), Yoo Jin Oh is in the typewriter. But then I'm not sure if Taemin's father saw him or Sejun's old writing. And in ep5 preview, do people see him at the press con?

However, I like the idea that he's literally a ghost. But if so, bangjin ottokke?

Btw, I know Jinoh drives Sejun crazy, but I hope pd and writer-nim can calm sejun down. Dont let him scream and grab people's neck like that any more.
