    Yeah, I think it's the director that decided to film it like that.. P'Lit maybe wanted that raw look for Arthit and Kongpope. Yeah, if the beach scene was better lighted then we'd get to see a lot more details.. like better looks at their face expression. If I'm not mistaken the scene where they sleep in Kongpope's room, Arthit's face is barely visible.

    Well, just do the best that you can... which you already ARE doing. We love your .gifs already so don't worry too much. But I know what being OCD can do to you, I am the same with HD quality when I hardsub, that's why it takes 8 hours for it to process... :tears:

    lmao I love making gifs so it's not an issue for me at all. It legit take me like 2 minutes to make something.

    Okay I just had to do it...just for comparison basis. This is without any effects and from season one btw.

    I just wish it was a little better lighting in Sotus because it does add to the scene if you can see things better and notice stuff. We don't realise it because it all kind of happens in a second (which is why I love gifs...you can slow things down) but when you see the scene lighted better, you do notice the difference!

    Because @delightful mentioned uprince...I think this is a perfect comparison. This scene is on the rooftop with fairy lights as the main source of lightening...

    I know it's not the beach but lightening isn't hard to set up anywhere unless we are talking mountain tops!

    Ugh!!! Why did I delete my lovesick tumblr??? Their beach scenes were a perfect counterparts.

    e that too, SOTUS's quality looks very raw (unedited) compared to LS or MIR. The only 'good' quality shoot they did at night was of Aim wiping off the paint from May's face. I mean I'm not surprised as SOTUS is made by a different director than MIR or LS, they're different companies actually. So their shooting/lighting styles are different. But yeah, I totally get what you mean. SOTUS is funded by GMM TV, if we compare the quality to Puppy Honey or any of the Secret Love series than the film quality is a lot more raw looking and no special effects were added. Do you use photoshop to make .gifs?

     

    pretty much what you said. I am just surprised is all. tbh most of the scenes not involving the two leads are not bad. Even the one with Nott and Arthit in front of that building after the dinner or the whole segment where Arthit is running at night. It's mostly the scenes between the leads that are bad...idk if it was intentional to give them the raw feeling or some other error...

    Yes. I use photoshop...I am old school that way!

    Lmao I don't mind too much. there aren't a lot of dark scene in the series. Mostly are out in the daylight so no worries!!

    @jaelephy I like the way the series goes now. I watched them in so many app (LINE, YouTube, Dailymotion) with different devices (TV, iMac, Acer Monitor, MacBook, iPad, iPhone) They do have different qualities. Some screen is too dark and I have to bright it up. But still, I do like the tone of the series very much. More romantic :wub:

     

    I have no complaints when I watch it. I agree it feels very romantic...It's just a pain in the richard simmons for us gif makers.

    Sotus is no better with inside dark scenes...the one with them in bed together and the one where Kong says 'you are cute' the first time...they were inside but lighting is just as bad if not worse. And the gifs look that much brighter in the spoiler because of the effects. I am not well versed with shooting stuff so I don't know if it's the lighting error or just quality of the film. Basically, I don't know much other than dark scenes from sotus can never be made into really sharp HQ gifs...at least by me T.T (-everdeen on tumblr could probably do it but she deleted her tumblr T.T...damn people disappearing on my richard simmons.)

    And honestly even lovesick ss1 had better lighting. I don't have gifs from that because I deleted my tumblr from those days. I have been making gifs for like 5 years now and I have worked with the worst of lighting and the darkest of places...I am just surprised GMM is so bad especially with the budget that I guess they have.

    I have one simple complain for GMM. Why do your night or dark scenes have such bad lighting? Seriously, dramas with less budget have better lighting than you...I can't even get my beloved high contrast in dark scenes. Still since this scene is my absolute favorite I couldn't not make these gifs *sigh*

    Now comparing this to MIR's dark/night scenes...the lighting is so perfect!!! And they probably had a lower budget than Sotus. What are you doing GMM?

    I think it depends when you meet the younger person. between 18-25 is filled with changes. even if someone is only a year younger, there's a high chance you guys are looking for different things in life. conversely, if it's a little late in life...like maybe 30s or so. the gap might not be big. at the end of the day, as long as you two are compatible, who cares? I don't know what my max young is but right now...I don't think more than 3 years. sadly, a teenager is a kid to me.

    well tbh I am not that old. And I am not against dating younger guys so technically Singto and Krist are okay too. They are legal and not as young...but Off is like my soulmate so I am happy he is older than me.

    im glad im not reading the novel yet only some short trans here and there so im can't even comparing..even other live action such as Love Sick and Harry Potter i haven't read the full novel so when novel fan get disappointed im just enjoying the product since i have zero expectation lol...just only get disappointed with bad editing of what could have been amazing scene :P

    I see a lot of disappointment...lol that's why I am not interested in reading the novel just yet. You can never ever ever produce a novel as well as your imagination. It just isn't possible. Even Addicted (which is like the holy grail of bl dramas) can't compare to it's novel counterpart. I am legit saving all the novel translations to be read once the drama is done so I don't set myself up for disappointment.

    On the other hand...why is Kong so cute??
