    Ask the Stars

For fans of the Korean dreamboat Lee Min-ho, such as myself, the wait to see him on screen again post-Pachinko has been long. That came about as a result of Ask the Stars, helmed by Park Shin-woo and starring Lee and Gong Hyo-jin. A space tourist and astronaut’s fateful encounter is the subject of the sci-fi rom-com TV series. As Gong Ryong, a conscientious obstetrician-gynecologist, Lee will cross paths with Eve Kim (Gong), a Korean-American astronaut, when he enters the space station as a visitor.

    The Best Television of 2022

    Pachinko

Everything about Pachinko just sings. From how cinematic it looks, to how the series pulls off its multilingual format, to Lee Min-Ho. This is a love-letter to the Korean experience, to all those who endured under the fist of Japanese colonialism, and the stateless Koreans forced to carve out new lives in Japan. Pachinko perfectly manifests the push and pull between the struggle to endure and the desire to break away from confines that hold them. It is profound, devastating, and beautiful all at once. It is a Korean story like no other, and it is excellent.

Anyone can find the original article for the Rolling Stones article?

Pachinko: “Chapter Seven” (Apple TV+, Season One, Episode Seven)

Pachinko is a haunting historical epic about one family’s journey during and after the Japanese occupation of Korea. The seventh chapter flashed back to the earlier life of one of the show’s villains, Hansu (Lee Min-Ho), a Korean man willingly collaborating with the invaders. Set around the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, it’s a tragic origin story that complicates our feelings about Hansu, and also a chilling portrait of how disaster can sometimes bring about the absolute worst in people, rather than the best.

Can we find the original articles?   The first one shows Rolling stone but the second one wasn't clear that it was NYT.

Both Rolling Stone and NYT selected ep7 of Pachinko as best episodes of the year 2022. And now the Collider joined in.

    “Chapter Seven,” Pachinko

No list would be complete without a recognition of one of the most sublime shows of the year. While Pachinko, based on the outstanding novel of the same name by Min Jin Lee, was wrongfully snubbed by the Emmys, it will always hold a place in our hearts when we look back on this mess of a year. The episode simply entitled “Chapter Seven” is one of the reasons why, as it centered on the character of Hansu (Lee Min-ho) and brought his own harrowing brush with death into the forefront of the story. As directed by the visionary Kogonada, it was an absolutely shattering part of a season that was never lacking in such moments.

Often when people meet LMH they comment on his “small face”- has anyone on here ever seen him in person- is he still as handsome in reality as he is on the screen ? I’m sure he must be.

Minoz always said he's 100 times more handsome than at pictures after they seeing him in person. Photos can not totally show his handsomeness, clips are a little better, but far from the reality. They said that "You think you will be satisfied after seeing him once, but actually after you saw him once, you will addict to him and want to see him over and over again. And that's way many non-fans would become his fans after they saw him in person.

And you all know that the screen will enlarge people's figures. He's much thinner than on the screen.

It was precisely the appearances of celebrities at MFW 2022 that dominated part of the conversations on the subject: this year's most talked about protagonists of the fashion system were Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, Alessandra Ambrosio, Naomi Campbell but also and above all Lee Min-ho, the Korean actor chosen by Fendi and Hugo Boss [1] as the face of some collaborations.

I read Chinese translation of comments in DC for “LeeMinHo for New York Fashion week & Milan Fashion week Influence 1st place”.

One said : Lee Min Ho's company didn't release articles about these.

    And replies :
    * LMH's popularity around the world is the fact, so they need not to do media play or
    manipulate comments.
    * LMH rarely release these articles, so non-fans didn't know how great his Hallyu status is, but the industry knows.

    * I'm not his fan, I also felt proud.
