  1. @Dramanoona Time jumps are my pet peeve, too! I often pretend they don't happen. "One year later" appears on the screen, I "fix" it in my head, "Oh, they must mean 1 month." Because there is NO REASON to have 1-2 year long time skips! Sometimes, you need time to know what you really want (like, maybe, HR and WS, although I'm not too sure about the two of them anymore), but not 1-2 years...

Ep 15-16 are going to be good! I can tell that the preview is all out of order; they put the first part of Ep 15 at the end. And it has an excited SJ, "Who do you think is CEO Ma's friend's friend?" Gossipy SG and SJ will help our snail go home.

  2. I haven't watched ep. 11 yet, but from what I've read here, I feel sorry for Horang. Poor girl, wasted her 20s on a Peter Pan. Getting married and raising children is not a bad dream- I think she's been unfairly criticized for selling herself short and whatnot. Being CEO is not for everybody... So I want to know, what is WS thinking? Why did he date her for the past 7 years? What's that horrible saying? "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free." Is that what happened here?

I watch romantic dramas because of happy endings, so I want Horang to get her happy ending, too. And I don't think becoming a Red Coat Ajumma is her happy ending. Poor girl.

I agree with you, or should I say I am a bit apprehensive to go along with what I have been told so far.

I am just wary that we are being told to be paranoid and to view BN through sehee's view (and that music in background LOL)

It would be interesting if the writer did make BN the typical first lead arch type who is a chaebol, owns a company(cafe) and is very controlling. Let us be realistic al first leads in kdrama act like stalkers LOL

"Let's be realistic, all first leads in kdrama act like stalkers LOL." So true! I would love if they turned this trope on its head (and if he's a super rich chaebol in hiding, then Sehee might not have to pay for the bike!).

After episode 3...what the hell did I just watch?. They didn't start their relationship with
love as most do, but their relationship started because they need each other??????. Hmmm,
this is a strange beginning of a relationship, but it's not impossible. If you watched this
far, you probably wonder as I'm, would their relationship work?. Will their relationship last?
Is this a love proposal? or is it a business proposal?. If it's a business proposal, will
this possibly blossom into romance one day?. I have to say, very good acting so far. The
story is simple, but the lead actor and actress definitely made me felt something start brewing
    between the two of them.

There's that quote, by Erich Fromm, "Immature love says: 'I love you because I need you.' Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.'" I hope (I'm guessing) our lovely drama here will show our OTP move from immature love (not that they're calling it love, yet) to mature love. And it will be quiet and special, just like our leads.

  5. Aww.. Ep 4 BTS video clip was deleted…
@ni8tingayle_4f78 True that a lot of dramas follow P&P; because it's a great set-up! (But Clueless is based off Emma, I think). And Pride & Prejudice stories are better than Romeo & Juliet stories, because I love a happy ending!
I don't think I understand the carrot key chain-  What's the green thing supposed to be on the bottom of the carrot?

  6. I wasn't going to rewatch Ep 5, because I hate the part where they're buying stuff at the antique store. The super expensive candle holder and butterflies. I just don't like it- like they're spending money they don't want to spend because they feel obligated, like, since they were in the store, they had to buy something, and I hate that feeling, it makes me really uncomfortable. But I watched. And I'm glad I did. Wooyoung mentioned in a March magazine interview that he watched his episodes (except for the first one) and was surprised at how cautious he was being. I like to think this is one of the episodes he was referring to. He was being cautious, and they were still feeling each other out, but he was being super sincere about sharing one of his real, true, hobbies (interior design) and she was already teasing him (play This is Love on the accordion). The first time watching, I don't think I saw how playful she was being. I was too distracted by the red coats or something.  :)
Speaking of the red coats. What do you think, are they dressing up for each other, or dressing up for the show? It's really obvious to me now how dressed up they are, since Jae Rim of the new couple packed tshirts and lounge pants in his first episode. It's probably about half and half, right? You dress up when you go on a date, and you want to look nice on tv.

  7. @jann17 I'm with you, I didn't like SY very much at first and was pro-Wooyoung.
He seemed like he was trying so hard in the first episode, and she just wasn't giving him anything. I'm sure it was the editing, it has to be the editing, but he kept trying to figure out how to get past the awkward stage quickly- since they were supposed to be "married" after all- and she was just sitting there, setting traps for him. Not telling him where they've met before, asking if he likes brash or quiet girls. How is he supposed to answer that?! Poor dude. I was asking myself, where's the cutie that bought giant teddy bears?
But like @Sage_Turquoise said, she's giving that front to WY, but in her BRI she's all, "Yellow. That's what I saw. Ah! Thankfully I know. It's someone I know!" Really?!! She could tell from the top of his head who he was? That's amazing! She really was a fan of his. She liked that it was him. Why can't she give him some hints that she was excited?
And then in their press conference, WY: I look forward to doing events. I like events. SY: I don't like events. She kept doing stuff like this! Raining on his parade. How am I supposed to warm up to this girl? She's not making it easy for her partner; she's not making it easy for me as a viewer.
Then, like @crazymiss mentioned: Jinwoon. For me the viewer, I felt better about the two of them as a couple when Jinwoon said when Seyoung called him he didn't know about WGM and thought that someone had set them up on a blind date. She was asking about WY the person, not how to navigate the variety show. If someone who knows both of them was supportive of them dating for real… well then… let me give her another chance…
What sealed the deal for me was when she reached over to touch his hair in the car after the gym and before the amusement park. I have been there. I have been the infatuated girl who can't figure out the right way to flirt, and will just impulsively do something out of nowhere because I just can't hold it in any longer. Her giddy reaction after she finally did it. That was my aha! moment.

  9. @ocha23- @young30 posted a fanacc of 2young's filming in Singapore when they went to the aquarium last April. The author of the fan account said that in her opinion, the two of them didn't look very close @young30 points out that it really shows how their relationship grew over the past couple of months. @scuttler points out that at the time, they had only filmed together about 10 times, and she thinks the presence of staff helped keep the two of them apart.
I would like to point out an interview from the May issue of High Cut magazine:

If you watch MBC’s variety show “We Got Married”, Wooyoung looks like a really meticulous guy.

Wooyoung: I really think it’s hard during every filming. Half of me thinks: “If this person were my wife”, and the other half thinks: “The viewer audience is watching”. When I come back to reality after filming, I remain confused for an entire day. If I say that I got close to that other person and it becomes obvious immediately, it doesn’t feel too professional, but at the same time I wish the viewers would think that I really like her. It’s because at times I engage myself into filming making myself think that she’s really the person I like and love.

    cr. egle0702

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but it sounds like maybe Wooyoung purposely kept his distance at first, in order to remain professional. He can't make it too obvious that he likes her too soon. Watching their relationship grow and change on screen is one of the great things about this couple.
  10. scuttler said: @young30 I remember reading this back in April. I'm honestly not that surprised that they weren't "that" close. Because if you think about it at that point they had about 9 days of filming together. I did the math below... please let me know if I did it incorrectly. I mentioned it earlier when I asked if their personal staffs go on to WGM shoot with them, or was Singapore the only time because it was abroad? I feel like that would be one of the explanation as to why they seem distant. I've always said that those two do better when they're alone than when they're with other people. I wouldn't be surprised if their staff tried to keep them apart for their reasons. Maybe I'm just thinking too much.
    1-2 = 13-4 = 15-6 =16 = 17-8 = 19-11 = 111-13 = 113-14 = 114.2 = 1

  11. @shineehappypandas Their hand play is what made me fall in love with this couple. Seriously. Here's another example- I can't make gifs, just take screen caps, sorry. His thumb is moving across her wrist. This should be a utilitarian moment- she's pulling him through the water, the skinship is unspoken and unavoidable-instead he's flirting.
    42766815-0385-4879-a87c-55f9e0e5ba3f.png

But we're obviously not the only ones that noticed how much his fingers moved when touching her, or else the camera operator wouldn't have zoomed in on his thumb caressing the inside of her wrist. Which, by the way, why was he doing that? The thin skin on the inside of the arm is an erogenous zone. I wonder if guys subconsciously attempt to arouse girls- they must, right?

  12. @titahaspihani Oh! I don't know! It's just that almost all (or all) of the 2PM boys have been on dating variety shows, starting with Nichkhun on WGM in 2010. I just said that I think they all filled out the application at the same time. It makes sense if they did. Don't you think?
edit to add: @bladerunner I heard that too, that he refused to join 2 years ago. But it's possible they contacted him because they already had his info sheet, right? And the timing just didn't work out then. Makes the WY/SY pairing even better, imo. :)

  13. I don't think WGM has ever really been about people finding true love. It's always been a variety show. That's why the cast is actors/models/idols and not average citizens. Of course, the show wants you to think: what if? could they really? where's the line? That's one of the things that makes it fun to watch. There's just enough reality to make you think, is this real?
On WGM, some of the pairings are like Hayden Christensen/Natalie Portman. One big name, one up-and-coming name, and one forced and uncomfortable relationship on screen. The majority of the couples are pleasant to watch, in a Kate Hudson/Matthew McConaughey kind of way. You think they look good together, but they're just having a good time and playing at love.  But then Wooyoung and Seyoung were paired up and we got Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie, and we all know how that turned out. It's nobody's fault if you feel like Jong Hyun/Yura couple is a Hayden/Natalie pairing or that Jae Rim/So Eun is a Kate/Matthew pairing. Not everybody can be Brangelina. :)
I bet all the 2PM boys filled out their WGM applications at the same time. So Wooyoung's application has been on file for 4 years, and the WGM staff finally found a girl that fit his physical ideal and had an amazing amount of similarities. Good things come to those who wait?

  14. wgmfanaticx3 said: So i was reading translations from this week's radio interviews & bam, something caught my eyes! lol[Radio] "10 out of 10" body part? JWY: Eyes. People say I have really kind eyes. So I can't lie. MC: Would be a good model for banking CF.NOT PEOPLE WOOYOUNG! SEYOUNG SAID IT!! LOL

Okay if this doesnt prove that they are real then the sky isnt blue and the we are not real human beings and the grass isnt green! REALEST SHIP EVERRRRRRRR

  15. Remember, one of SY's biggest complaints in the beginning was how WY "plays" with words, or "twists" his words. She didn't know what to believe. I think every interview, compounded with reporter translations, will be frustrating for shippers. :) Also, scrolling through phone or iPod in airport is not unusual. Idols use music to drown out crowd noise. Or pretend to listen to music so they've got something to look at and not interact with others. However, taking selcas at amusement parks and actually talking on the phone in public..... fishy. :)

  16. Since we were rewatching Ep 2 this week, I wanted to talk about my favorite scene from that particular episode. It's when WY and SY start making chocolates and she asked about flowers, and he told her about the bouquet he gave. I know Seyoung mentioned that it was a "mistake" to talk about former girlfriends, and in a later episode (I don't know when, a fairly recent one) Jinyoung the MC was talking about how Nam Goong Min mentioned an ex-girlfriend and how she didn't want to know about his past- like it was a bad thing to bring up the exes, and everyone agreed. But- I think it's a good thing. Maybe I'm weird, but I don't want to be in the dark about my man's past. When I got together with my man, we laid it all out on the table. I mean, we didn't get into gory details, but we definitely talked about who, what, when. I think secrecy leads to insecurity which breaks down trust. If a guy won't talk about his past, that's suspicious, like maybe the past isn't so much in the past...  So when Wooyoung (and Min oppa, for that matter) talked about his past experiences (even if they are from 2nd grade, which really doesn't count, imo), I think it shows an honest approach to the WGM relationship- like, if he was in a real relationship with a real wife/girlfriend, this guy would expect to tell his girl these sorts of things.c08132ed-3ef5-400e-96ec-ebbebb6d0d0e.png
So when Wooyoung said, "You should know about it" I take that as a sign, like, he looked at Seyoung like she was someone with whom he would build a real relationship with, so she would need to hear things like this, but then he remembered that, oh yeah, it was a show, so he muttered, "you really don't have to" like reminding himself and her that they didn't need to bring up things like this. Eh, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't think it was a mistake, and this conversation here, for me, gives credibility to his promise to treat her honestly. And I like that. :))

  17. Let's see…. how could WY and SY meet up without getting caught….
At a nightclub. Kwanghee of ZE:A talked about how he goes to nightclubs with discreet security all the time. With all the down low stuff that goes on in nightclubs, those people are paid to keep their eyes, ears, and lips shut. They could get a private room and hang out until morning.
Or what's a common one? Underground parking garage? Security guards at the entrance to keep out cameras. Dark garage, vans with tinted windows, sympathetic managers…
Let's see… roof of the MBC building? They could pretend they have a meeting with different producers and go hang out in Jonghyun and Yura's house while they're not filming. ;) They could race RC cars- WY could win wishes from SY. (I love wish bets.)
One of those high rise driving ranges where billionaires have shady business deals while hitting golf balls? If gangsters aren't getting caught there, our two shouldn't either, right? I think it would be relaxing to hit golf balls into the horizon on a lazy autumn afternoon.
Minhwan of FT Island admitted he goes to pensions on the coast to meet up with his girlfriends.
Junhyung of Beast mentioned that he and Hongki of FT Island once rode the train for fun, just to be in a crowd of people that didn't recognize them. Go during rush hour, all those 40 year olds on their way to work with their heads down in their phones wouldn't notice a couple just sitting on the train together.
I bet they could meet at the movies. Midweek. Midday. Some film that's already been out for a few weeks. I know every time I've been to a movie like that, I'm the only one in the theater. I guess the stumbling block might be the theater staff, but from what I've seen of other idols' instagrams is that it's actually possible to walk around without being bothered, as long as you don't draw attention to yourself. It's luck of the draw, I guess, whether someone recognizes you or not.
