but found the SeRa chat very puzzling; what exactly was her purpose? ~ was she trying to scope out the situation to see if she could wriggle her way in? was she trying to find out what is going on so she can leave feeling chapter closed? was she trying to create doubt out of jealousy? anyone want to share their thoughts?

She may be timid, but she can stand up for herself when she's not feeling guilty. I also like that the kiss comes after Geon made a decision to stay with his wife. In the original, it was more out of jealousy than anything else. At that time, there was no decision on his part. He still very much wanted to be with his girlfriend. The kiss wasn't as meaningful as the K version. I would feel more sorry or more understanding of Sera had she been more honorable and go straight to Geon with her complaints and what not instead of trying to sneak behind Geon's back and take it out on his wife. Whatever she wants to say, she should say it to him directly. Only he can decides what he wants for himself.

It wasn't Yong's fault that he is a mistress' s son. And really since both Geon's parents have passed away a long time ago I would like to see Geon forgive his father's sin. It will be good for him. Once he can forgive his father, he will be able to gain a brother. I'm sure Yong would love to have a brother too.

  4. @chunnogirl33, Oh I agree that the speech Gun (Geon) and the mom gave are very similar, however they were different to me. I call them backhanded compliments--because the recipient could take it as an insult.  Maybe the term I should have used in this case was a reversed backhanded compliment.  Both Gun and the mother said things before a group of people  exposing MY's flaws as they see them which can be hurtful and embarrassing. But then they summed up their speeches very nicely with the wonderful, good characteristics she possesses.  When the mom did it on the island, she said it among family and friends who knew MY probably from her birth--reminds me of the hometown where I grew up--where everybody knows everybody.  So the mom probably wasn't telling them something they didn't already know. Lol!!    When Gun said it, it was in front of a bunch of strangers looking and wanting to find faults with her. He laid her faults bare and summed up the things that made her so precious.

What I do like about the speech Gun gave is it showed what true love is based on vs infatuation. It showed he saw her flaws and recognized them, but still saw the beautiful qualities she possessed. I'm not sure if he's recognized the flaws that Se Ra possesses--infatuation.

This drama, regardless of K or T version is powerful. When I watched the T version, even amidst its slapstick comedy, it was the first time I felt true hurt, anger, disappointment, and happiness on behalf of a character. The T version had real life characters (all shapes and sizes) that reminded me of people we see on a day to day bases.  I have a feeling that Se Ra will take some cheap shots to try and get back what belongs to her.

    Is it Wednesday yet?

I think the friend is going to get so bad she will start taking matters in her on hands that will cause something tragic to happen..It may turn out to be the evil step brother and his mom gang up with Sera to harm My..

She doesn't really show those over the top romantic interest in Gun , she very reseve and understanding but she aware he a good person w/ a wonderful heart and always there to help her, you can tell she enjoy his company and adored his crazy laugh, she smile and giggle when he around , she love his humor . When MY confess to Daniel , the more nice he is to her the more she afraid she will think he do like her, basically Gun behavior is making her swoon and she slowly falling in love with him . Which is bad because their relationship is base on a contract.

Not sure if this was posted yet, but these are the pictures that relate to the cut scene from episode 8 when LG took sera out to a dance club  http://enews.imbc.com/News/RetrieveNewsInfo/98758  I wish they left it in to give us a sense of what his relationship with her was like, but they may of cut it because of time..

What I wonder is what was Gun thinking after he spoke to MY before opening the door to  face sera in the office again his face had so many expressions and he stood there a long time~ was it happiness or regret?

I find it hilarious that some are complaining about spoilers, but later in their own comments hint to things from the TW version.  With most dramas, some of us feel free to make assumptions of what we think may happen in the drama, but in this one since it's a remake of an original, it feels like their are some who see those "assumptions" as spoilers.  Its becoming funny but not at the same time--just more controlling if anything---IMO.

Not that she will continue to be meek, I think she will grow stronger without a doubt, and we can already see signs of it. Sometimes she stands up for herself, sometimes she doesn't. She holds her own against LG, but since she empathizes with others too much, there are times that she'd rather be hurt than hurt others.

The reason why I am kind of doubting it is because of the LG-Daniel collaboration this early, and the fact that MY's character actually dresses pretty well in this drama. Dunno, the blue dress actually made her look like a CEO's wife and not an ordinary office girl/worker.

By huge transformation I meant some kind of 180 degree change in personality. I actually love her now, she just needs to grow more backbone.
