  1. This is the best screen grab I have of the receipt:
    8hb0.gif
Can anyone who reads Korean make out what the items are? And where the receipt's from?
All I know are the first two items on the receipt aren't expensive: US$0.80 and US$0.65 thereabout. The third item looks to be more expensive - either 1,450 or 2,450Won? I can't see clearly since it's blocked by YJ's finger.  Onward, Secret Detectives!  Make me proud of your investigative skills!!

  2. From psychology.about.com:
    <<Question: What Is Cognitive Dissonance?
People tend to seek consistency in their beliefs and perceptions. So what happens when one of our beliefs conflicts with another previously held belief? The term cognitive dissonance is used to describe the feeling of discomfort that results from holding two conflicting beliefs. When there is a discrepancy between beliefs and behaviors, something must change in order to eliminate or reduce the dissonance.>>
Poor MH has such a bad case of CD where YJ is concerned.  He wants to believe all that is bad about her - leaving JH to die and not seeking timely help after the accident - but YJ's actions have all been contrary to that of a cold-blooded murderer of his lover and unborn child. The poor guy is just so confused.  That's why the end of episode 8 is so important because it's beginning to give him clarity about who and what kind of woman YJ really is - something will be changing soon for MH to eliminate that CD.  Yea!!  I'm so looking forward to ep 9!
BTW, I've rewatched episode 8 twice already, and still can't get over how stupid their product placement of TGIF is - NO ONE who's even a little sane will dress to the nines (tuxedos and cocktail dresses) to go to TGIF.  :-q
Is Halloween early this year and they were actually there for a costume party?!

I need YJ to now open her eyes, I see the rose colored glasses still on her face. Time for MH to rip them off and let her see DH for what he is.

    .

    Agreed.
But I think it will be very difficult for her to trust what MH says - she dislikes and distrusts him intensely on account of what she thinks happened to San, and she is afterall still in love with Saint DH (through her thick, rose-tinted glasses).
She will need to put 2 and 2 together herself for her to see the real DH - denial of early parole, disappearance of San, dad's disappearance & later death, etc.
That's why as a plot point, I think it will be important for HER to discover dad's missing ID bracelet. No use for MH or SY or KS to discover this piece of evidence.  She will not believe them if they told her or even showed it to her.  She has to discover for herself what a real douchebag DH really is.

  4. I'm curious as to what event/incident will open YJ's eyes to DH's true colors?
Will it be the revelation that DH cast the deciding vote against her early parole?
Or, will it be the discovery of how dad's missing ID bracelet (mortuary scene showed he wasn't wearing the bracelet)?
I think dad tore off the bracelet the night he was in DH's car, and YJ will find that bracelet in the car.  That will lead her to believe DH was the last person to see dad alive, and possibly the one responsible for dad's death.

    Your thoughts?

  5. I think some of the posters have gotten Hyejin and Haeri mixed up in their posts.  I can understand the mix-up since they do look very much alike although I think Haeri is better looking than Hyejin, imho.
    Correct me if I'm wrong:
Haeri is the friend from her tollbooth days.  Now working at K Hotel and had recommended YJ a couple of PT jobs at K Hotel.  She's the one bowing to MH repeatedly when he comes acalling at YJ's home/workshop where curly-haired unni and crazy Sandara unni are waiting to start dinner.
Haeri is NOT Hyejin - that traitorous cellmate who got biatched-slapped and made San black-and-blue for $$$.

I am also very doubtful that MH has sth to do with San being taken away. What makes me doubtful is the fact that he wanted DH to give her 'not passed vote'. There is no meaning in taking care by creating problem which would lead to this result. There would probably be 'no fun' in it for him.
But until yesterday's episode I haven't thought that DH would have sth to do with it, either.

I am very interested how it will be led further by the writer.

  7. @ falloutjane:
I love, love, LOVE your re-cap! Had me in stitches whenever you go "sidebar" on your storytelling to let us know how you REALLY feel!

<<But fear not, MH came in and swooped in to do a wrist grab, say something nasty to his nasty stepmom and pull her away to the bar. Along the way, meeting DH who was at a meeting for his new position or something. So he happily showed DH their hand holding, smirking all the way. While DH was all passive as usual. He's so lame, seriously.>>

    Bwahaha ... great job!

  8. Hello everyone!
I've been lurking here since watching and falling in love with Ms Han Ji Min in Padam Padam, and have been busy catching up with the over 170 pages of posts. I'm sure all of you agree with me when I say she's awesome!
I came across a Padam Padam interview with the main actors on Pg116 posted by zherlthsh Feb 2012:

It looked like a really fun interview with the actors joking around.  They all looked so comfortable with each other! Does anyone know if there's one with an English translation? (Or if there isn't, can anyone translate?)  I want to know what was said that made HJM blush so furiously that she had to cover her face with one hand, and fan herself with a paper napkin with the other hand! :x
