  1. Does anyone know if the songs from OSTs are nominated for best song in the Drama Awards?  Secret had some exceptional songs - from Ailee, Navi, Eru, etc. - so I'm hoping that if there is such a category, one of them will win.
I'm all for Ailee's Tears Stole The Heart! Like someone mentioned previously, most of us only know how to sing along to the part: "I believe that I love you ... yada yada yada ...", but who cares if we don't know the rest.  Haha.  It is still a beautiful song.

  2. I channel surfed to KBSWorld right now and they're showing live the KBS Entertainment Awards.  Is this the BIG ONE we've been looking forward to, or is this another awards show?  SISTA just performed and the couple of winners I saw were a DJ and a musician.  I don't want to waste my time watching this, not understanding Korean, and NOT have any sighting of the Secret cast.   :x
The only person I recognized so far during the camera pan is Kim Jong Kook of Running Man.

  3. Hi Chingus!
It's been more than a week and I can't seem to get over my Secret obsession, or as Navi says, it's  an Incurable Disease.  ;)   I know, I know, cheesy but I can't resist. This drama brings out all kinds of fangirl weird from yours truly.
Been getting my Secret fix this past weekend, and have come up with my NEXT three favorite scenes.

    1) Jjajangmyeon Volunteer Day at the prison - San peering from behind YJ's shoulder to sneak a curious peek at the man serving them.  Omo, the cuteness and adorableness (San, not DH)!  That cutie pie certainly had me at hello.  Can anyone blame me for being in the San-is-Alive camp with those puppy dog eyes staring back at me?

    2) Sajangnim offers two special TGIF staff a ride home in the Chaebol car - a pivotal scene, IMHO, since it's YJ's first inkling that MH isn't as bad as DH made him out to be. I love YJ's answer of a "What for?" to Hye Ri asking if she isn't going to thank Sajangnim.  And Hye Ri relating verbatim what transpired between MH and the restaurant manager in getting her job back.  YJ's look of surprise, and MH's self-satisfied look? Priceless.

    3) Outside the cafeteria of the construction outpost scene - Where MH catches a hold of YJ and shouts that yeah, he's crazy. Crazy with worry about her and that is why she needs to stick by his side.  I love Ji Sung's acting here - when MH realizes he has just blurted out inadvertantly his feelings to YJ, you can see his non-verbal reactions clearly.  Kind of like his Oops-I-shouldn't-have-said-that moment, from the slight "Oh" of the mouth and the swallow of the throat.  Wonderful subtlety to Ji Sung's acting.  And his spoilt, whiney, "I'm hungry, Give me some food" at the cafeteria ain't half bad either. I always break out laughing when he says that.

All three outstanding and unforgettable scenes. I miss our Secret so! Can some talented Secret chingus write a few MH-YJ fanfiction stories to save poor ol' me?!

  4. Too many favorite scenes, but the FIRST three that had me at hello and kept me going back for a repeat viewing of the eps are:

    1) The Almost Kiss at TGIF
I never knew that a couple can generate that much heat with essentially a kiss that never happened.  Yawzer ... that chemistry is to die for.  And when he dipped his finger into the sauce to have a taste, this fangirl about died from a heatstroke, I tell ya!

    2) The Bake-a-Cake for "Dead" San scene at the grocery store and at Han River
Heart-wrenching to say the least.  And each time I repeat watch, I cried.  I think for me, of all the weepy scenes, I cried the most here. And when she "spoke" to San at the river, my hear broke for YJ.  This scene alone is good enough to win HJE an acting award, and she had so many great scenes! Incredible acting - HJE has put herself firmly on the A-List of kdrama actors with her performance in this show.

    3) The TGIF Restroom where MH confronted YJ over her kneeling and pouring alcohol for Jaeha
I can literally feel MH's pain when he told YJ she should never kneel to anyone to apologize. That if there is to be kneeling, he would do it.  When YJ brushed it off as something she can easily do (pour alcohol, kneel and apologize), I can feel the pain radiating from MH when he wanted her to stop doing such things.  And that handhold before she left, so bittersweet.
As an aside, I'm a bit of a germaphobe, and whenever I see MH holding her hand in my repeat watches, all I can think of was, she didn't wash her hand!  She had just cleaned/wiped down the toilet in one of the cubicles!!  But aside from this phobia rearing its ugly head very occasionally, a most lovely and memorable scene, thank you very much.
