Ok people EH's real father really is dead. Was re watching ep 66 or 67 and LK is telling JK at HM graveside what happened with her. She says when EH father died she was very distraught and she brought the baby to them. When she left she tried to kill herself. She said one of the things that she remembered was JK telling her to come back anytime, they would always welcome her. So with those words she couldn't kill herself...she went back to Gaesong on the day of the bombing and it was her (LK) that found HM body laying dead in the street. Someone with a vehicle helped her take HM body back to Seoul, and she had been looking for JK and EH ever since that time. So glad they cleared that up because I kept asking how in the world did she know he was dead, but not know that he was in police custody at the time. I also couldn't figure out how she had got HM body brought to Seoul once North Korea took over. So now we know
So that once and forever officially rules out SG as EH father! -

@bkrommo We have already broken down the reasons that SG cannot be the real father. Personally I think SG was at the hotel to see the gangster and didn't want EH to see him there. There are still 40 episodes remaining so it might be a little early to reveal LK identity to SG.

@lindab12 just because things aren't going your way doesn't make this the worst drama...SMH has that title hands down. I do agree that EH and SJ are both on the boring side, but if you have looked at any of the Tv Novels you would know that this writer has done a LOT better than the writers of the previous 2 tv novels. Unfortunately I do see VP ending up like Park Nogyeoung on Love my Love....just a kind brother to female lead and not husband. It doesn't mean that I don't want VP as her love interest because I do. Sj is boring, and as much as I like JT he is just too complacent. Even if he did end up with EH at the end they would boring too, because he would just anything to please her (which isn't much), and he would also keep things from her...So she wouldn't have to think for herself for once.

so EH overheard that HM is not her father? I don't think she overheard anything about LK being her mom. In preview did SG hide because he was avoiding EH or maybe he finally recognized LK??

GOOD LORD PEOPLE...THE VP HASN'T GONE ANYWHERE YET! And more than likely he won't go anywhere, and if he does it will be temporary. In fact the way he snooped into EH background I was thinking that he will probably do the snooping into her father and what really happened. There has to be some catalyst for people on EH side to find out the truth ain't what SG said it was, and the VP is just the man to be that catalyst. Everybody else is so content to believe whatever the hell SG tells them. There isn't any movement on EH's part to ascertain with certainty that her father is or is not a killer. She just gobbled up what she was told and hasn't questioned it. Which is really stupid if you ask me. Her mother told her her father could never do anything like that so why believe someone else over your mother without going back to the mother and saying, "Hey Mr.Cha says dad confessed".
So again if anyone were to stumbled upon the truth and question it it would be the VP. This is my scenario....SG or YJ runs into the VP and tries to smear her again to him by saying she nothing but a murders daughter. The VP would smugly reply that since HM was not really her father then that is not true. And by the way, her real parents are very rich and powerful so they should watch their mouths and stop spreading rumors about her. Yes SG would go into extreme panic mode, and YJ face would fall to the ground. She would try to keep that info from gma and SJ and try to make sure they get married before he finds out that HM isn't EH dad. lol. Just my thoughts lol.
Anyway I don't think they will writing off the VP anytime soon. -

@mymilkysu no SG didn't intend to murder Doeksu, in fact Doeksu was drunk (again) and was about to kill SG, SG just push him back and he fell because he was drunk and hit his head.But he got up and was still trying to go at SG. So SG saw the money on the floor and he grabbed it to pay for his son's hospital treatment and ran away. I don't think he even knew Doeksu was hurt that bad and it wasn't until a day or two later that he found out about HM being arrested for the crime.
@krgeek LK or HJK would be the ones to dig more into the death because remember EH believed everything SG told her about her father. He told her that her mother didn't know the truth and the truth was that EH dad had confessed to the killing. She believed it all...and THANKED HIM!! for telling her.That's why she keeps helping him with things. Unless she becomes suspicious of his actions she won't question him. And as much as I like EH she is on the "dumb as a stack of bricks side". (No where near as stupid as SY from SMH but yes a little dumb.) -

1. I'm thinking the way women use to dress back then (wearing hanboks) is the reason they could hide pregnacies. While SG and HM both worked for Ms.Lee I think HM wife (EH mom) worked somewhere else, so maybe SG didn't see her as much.2. My opinion on the SG and LK missing each other is because SG once he finds out that LK is HM sister he knows he can't mess around with her. She is a smart woman with money who can easily afford to get to the root of what really happened. She also won't readily believe anything that SG says to her. So I think the writers are just waiting until later to let that happen so that when it does happen it will be the true beginning of the end for SG. Go back and read post...SG just cannot be EH real dad (but writer may prove me wrong :-) ).3. JT father is dead and Choi is just a common surname...like Kim or Park, or Lee or Kang etc. etc.
About the step siblings thingy...it seems that kdrama think that it is taboo for step siblings to marry. Which makes no sense in most cases. In Love My Love, Senghui and Nogyoung could not marry because it turns out that Nogyong mother(step mother) was Senghuis real mom. They shared no blood lines but it was considered a big no-no. However it that case Nogyoung was raised by his step mother since he was very little and he was extremely close to her, and felt she was like his real mother. Here the VP hates LK, does not consider her his mother, does not even call her mother and would if left to his own devices have nothing to do with her.The only reason he moved back home was because EH moved in there with LK.
I agree with others here who think it would be hypocritical of the writers if they say no EH and VP but let SJ and YJ marry. SJ and YJ were raised literally as brother and sister, in the same house with SJ calling SG and Gilyre mom and dad. So if those two can get married, live in the same house they grew up in, have sex and kids with mom and dad down the hall (excuse me a moment while I go and puke), then why can't EH and VP be together??
@loli This is actually a good drama to watch, it's just most of us have also watched the other tv novels and they always seem to screw up the endings. So far this is going okay. We just also want more romance and maybe a quicker pace to some of the story lines. -
Ok so the preview shows VP leaving LK house CRYING! Yes he had tears in his eyes...did he maybe find out about EH/LK relationship??
@Tamz I think we have completely ruled out SG as EH bio dad. Go back a few pages and read why. Both SG and LK have themselves ruled that out. Basically she was much older than HM and raised him as a son(her words) she would not have had an affair with his best friend and a boy that was so much younger than her. Plus SG already said that she left when he was still a very young man and he hasn't seen her since. Now she may have visited her brother and SIL but she wasn't visiting his best friend. Now even though she did say EH dad was dead, if she did lie then it would be more likely that the reason she couldn't come back to Gaesong was because the real father was somebody of importance(which definitely wasn't SG)....so maybe it could be SJ's real dad. In that case EH and SJ could never marry...YEAH! -
@lindab12 They are not half siblings they share no blood lines... they would be step siblings.

@kharsufeyo Welcome, I hope you enjoy the forum. I too would love to see EH end up with the VP, but I am also use to the rotten endings on TV novels. Lets just hope for the best! :-)

@fifthtry EH is LK daughter...Ms. Han just couldn't part with her so that's why she told those lies. She has never remarried, that too was a lie. She also returned EH baby clothes (as proof maybe?). EH herself has already told LK she was born in Gaesong, so HJK could not have remarried and had a child in Gaesong when it was taken by the North by that time. I don't understand why she (HJK) is running away now, LK has said she wants her to remain EH mom. Why not just say LK is your aunt and then live together like LK wants? It is puzzling, maybe it has to do with the murder accusations. I just cant figure this out...maybe there is something else that hasn't been brought to light.
On a side note...for those who think SG may be EH dad. I posted before that it couldn't be because SG said he did know HM sister but she left Gaesong while he was still very young(meaning LK is a bit older that him and HM), on ep.61 LK tells EH that her parents died when she was very young and that she raised her little brother and he was like a son to her. So I don't think LK would have had an affair with her brothers best friend and a man so much younger than herself.

@timsha Thanks for the re-cap. I think I said before that that snake YJ will really show just how poisonous she can be when she finds out that her dad is the real culprit. She will go to any and all lengths to cover it up, and to force an immediate marriage between her and SJ. They may even try to spread the rumors in Seoul (to get EH fired or disgraced) not realizing that LK is HM sister and EH boss/aunt/mom. We probably won't see any big revelation as it is still relatively early in this drama with 50 episodes left. We most likely won't see anything beginning to unravel for SG/YJ until around ep .95-100.

@lindab12 at least the actors on this drama can actually ACT...unlike on SMH. There are way too many untalented hacks on that drama and they are being praised for putting out CRAP!!

@mymilkysu please please don't let them make VP crazy like BSC TB. But look at the characters here.....TB mom(LK) marry the doctor after working and caring for the mother as she dying. Same scenario here, LK took care of VP mom while she was sick and dying and promised to care for VP and his dad. I really don't want to see anymore parallels because that will mean we are going to get a screwed up ending. If so this is DEFINITELY my last tv novel.

So in the 70's Korea did have a statue of limitations on murder. SG would not be punished for something that happened 25 yrs before. Statue was just repealed in 2012 retro active to crimes from 1997 and newer.

@lindab12 I think you are right...EH is going to end up marrying SJ in the end...what a FRICKIN SHAME! I too really like the VP, but they may make him BATSHITCRAZY like they did the 2nd male lead in TV Novel Love My Love.
When the truth comes out SG will claim self defense and get a light sentence if any sentence at all (anyone know Korea's statue of limitation on murder?). Because gma loves YJ so much she will forgive her for being the murders daughter(but will not agree to a marriage anymore). Then without apologizing to EH or her mom, gma will curse for the heavens for "Treating" her so cruelly then go off and die. lol
I just realized LK played the BSC mother in Tv novel Love My Love. And in the end she too was forgiven for being just as crazy as her son. Geexz I hope they don't screw this drama up like the previous ones. -
SG showed his true true colors today! Color of the day...Yellow as in he is a yellow-belly bastyrd! Now going so far as to hire thugs to intimidate and spread rumors about HJ, just so he and his wife can marry off their slimy green with envy yellow belly daughter. The lot of them make me sick to my stomach. I thought Gilrye would hopefully be the sane one, but no, she will keep her husband lies and crimes a secret and pretend as if nothing is happening all the while living in Mrs. Lee house. DISGUSTING!!

Ok peeps I thinks we can rule out SG as EH bio dad...was just watching ep58 when JT ask SG about if he knew EH aunt. SG said yes he knew her, but she had left Gaesong for Seoul when he was still very young. From the way he talked LK was much older than he and HM. So fingers crossed that it stays that way.

@EJNA I think I ruled out SJ dad being EH birth dad. I too want to see the VP and EH together, but.....hate to say it...This is a TV novel and the endings always seem to get screwed up. Also LK did not know Mrs. Lee before the the Gaesong reunion, so she couldn't be referring to her in the phone conversation. She didn't even know Mrs. Lee owned Incheon Tofu until she went there and inspected the company herself and ran into her again. Even though LK told her brother that the baby's dad was dead (or that her child would be fatherless) I think he may still be alive. More than likely LK had an affair with a married man or someone above her station. Just praying it is not SG, because like it was said EH would still be a murderers daughter.

@chriscyl More than likely it's a #3. Just like in Love My Love...VP will just end up as a kind and supportive brother to EH. But I would love #1.
