[by Park Yoon Jin / translated by Cho Suyoun] As the first snow comes, women dream of holiday seasons and the atmosphere of it. And they also dream of special makeups that will shine them more on the special day.
On November 14, Melon Music Awards was held and on the 16th, Daejeon Drama Festival was held as well. Before the awards began, the actresses walked on red carpets in beautiful dress and special makeup. So, we gathered some tips from their red carpet makeups. Let’s take a look at it! Naturally Glowing Skin

    e75feipdj002nu2zompn1abl3o4n971c.jpg

Song Hye Kyo, Kim Sung Ryung and IU all followed the trend of ‘moisturized skin look.’ This type of makeup should look very natural but a bit of blush could add more vitality to skin tone.
Before putting foundation on, it’s also great to prepare skin moisturized. Mix highly moisturized cream or a drop of oil with base cream and apply before foundation. Then, the critical thing is the type of foundation. STYLENANDA 3 CONCEPT EYES’ soft liquid foundation is very moisturizing and its light texture creates natural glow on skin. The color comes out in ivory beige and lace beige.

  4. 25722.jpgWed, Nov 13, 2013The Straits Times See the Chanel's Little Black Jacket at ArtScience Museum by Stacey Chia

Singapore - An exhibition celebrating Chanel's iconic black tweed jacket has made its way to Singapore.

From now till January 1, 2014, visitors can walk through a gallery in the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands that features all 129 images from the 2012 book, The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited, by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld.

Lagerfeld, 80, creative director of the luxury French fashion house, shot 129 people - mostly celebrities, designers, models and magazine editors - wearing the black tweed jacket. They were each styled differently by Roitfeld, 59, former editor of French Vogue and now global fashion director of Harper's Bazaar magazine, to show the versatility of the jacket.

For example, German supermodel Claudia Schiffer wears it with an apron around her waist, while South Korean actress Song Hye Kyo embellishes hers with brooches. American singer Kanye West demonstrates how men can also carry off the women's jacket, wearing it over jeans and T-shirt.

Other celebrities featured in the book include American actresses Sarah Jessica Parker and Milla Jovovich, Chinese actress Zhou Xun and British singer Rita Ora.

Models Karolina Kurkova, French actress Alma Jodorowsky and Korean- American model Park Soo Joo, who were also photographed for the book, were in town for the official launch of the exhibition at the ArtScience Museum.

The jacket was conceived in 1916 by Chanel's founder, Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel, after she took a liking to a jacket worn by men operating the lifts at a hotel in Austria.

At that time, she was already known for revolutionising women's fashion by designing clothes with menswear aesthetic. For example, she fashioned designs from jersey, a material that was used only in men's undergarments then.

Besides the jacket, she is also known for creating other designs that have since become wardrobe staples, such as the little black dress and quilted handbags with shoulder straps that would free women's hands.

In a press statement, Lagerfeld said: "The Chanel jacket is a men's jacket that has become a recognised piece of women's clothing. It has crossed that line and come to symbolise a timelessly fashionable form of nonchalant feminine elegance."

He added: "It's the equivalent of jeans or a white shirt. It really is the piece that goes with everything, suits everyone and is appropriate at anytime."

Since the book launched in September last year, the exhibition has travelled to 15 cities, including London, Milan, Paris, Shanghai and Taipei.

Singapore is the 16th and final stop of the showcase, which has drawn more than 300,000 visitors in just the five cities mentioned above.

Describing the exhibition as "a huge success", Mr Bruno Pavlovsky, global fashion president of Chanel, tells Life! in an e-mail interview: "We hope this project will intrigue and excite the public in Singpaore as much as it did in the other cities. People in Singapore love fashion; it will surely be interesting to have it here."

A Chanel jacket, which starts from $8,000, does not come cheap, but admission to The Little Black Jacket exhibition is free.

The drama had already been highly anticipated in Japan because of its star-studded main cast which includes Zo In Sung, Song Hye Kyo, Kim Bum, and Jung Eun Ji. The production team held a promotional activity this past June in Tokyo’s Shibuya, and met 2,000 fans. Not only was the drama popular among fans, the cast themselves were also widely cheered by fans as well.

With such momentum, many are wondering if ‘That Winter, The Wind Blows’ can follow in the glory days of ‘Winter Sonata’. TBS had invoked the rise of Korean Wave back in 2003 when it showed ‘Winter Sonata’. 10 years down the road, TBS has decided to go for it again with ‘That Winter, The Wind Blows’.

An executive in charge of overseas promotions for ‘That Winter, The Wind Blows’ said, “There was much attention on the broadcast the drama in Japan among fans, so we felt that it would achieve a good television rating. And the ratings for the opening episode really did meet our expectations. We anticipate that the ratings for the upcoming episodes will see a rise. Idols have taken over dramas as the most popular entity in recent times, but ‘That Winter, The Wind Blows’ is a drama that has been recognized for its excellence in South Korea. So we feel that the drama will equally find success in overseas markets.”

  14. class="cb b15"Fan Shares Sticky Cotton Candy Kiss With Jo In Sung

    That Winter The Wind Blows

Although fans will have to wait a while longer to see actor Jo In Sung on screen, this week one lucky fan did get to share something special with him in person.

That fan got to experience the cotton candy kiss that his "That Winter The Wind Blows" character Oh Soo shared with Song Hye Kyo.

The sticky kiss took place at a fan meeting at the NH Art Hall in Seoul. More than 500 Japanese, Chinese and Korean fans attended.

As part of the meeting's fan service, the actor went into the audience and let fans act out some of their favorite "That Winter The Wind Blows" scenes. Favorites included warming up Song Hye Kyo's hands when she was cold and re-enacting the famous cotton candy kiss in which the two actors both tasted a pink cloud of cotton candy. One fan got to share that sweet treat with him.

Besides fulfilling fans' wishes, he also gave all those who attended the bracelet that Oh Soo wore in the drama. However, he did not give his fans the gift of telling them what his next project would be.
