@Jillia idt it's that big of a deal, it happens a lot with kdramas.

I know you don't mean any harm in your comment, but I think live filming is a pretty big deal. It tires out not only the actors, but all of the production crew as well. I think we've all read horror stories of the consequences of live filming and filming until late at night. This show  hs been amazing despite it's tight schedule, so props to them! I just hope they aren't burnt out or sleep deprived to where they get sick bu the end of the show.

side note: does anyone remember that scene in Secret Garden where hyun bin is like asleep with ha ji won in bed? I remember reading on dramabeans that he legit fell asleep during that scene bc of live shooting omg

I'm a bit surprised they're close to filming the episodes live. I hope it won't get too stressful. :(

Oh, I thought  a drama was considered a live shoot when they were still filming a day before air date. Quality wise you can't tell because it's ben pretty consistent, but like ngl LMK is looking a little tired in the still. (still cute tho)

Trying SO hard not to ship them but the struggle is so real. Hahahhaha.

I wonder what they were saying to each other in the pic of him crouching next to her. His face looks like he's whole heartedly listening to her. The crouching somehow reminds me of his character in shut up Flower boy band

Off topic, and in response to @VanillaSalt - Yep. Pretty intense. :) I was surprised when I started watching K-movies. The K-dramas I've seen up to that point was pretty tame and NO bed scenes or satisfying kiss scenes. So imagine my utter shock when the love scenes in movies were pretty... graphic, to put it mildly. (At that point I think I've only watched Heirs, My Love from Another Star, Goong, Heartstrings, You are beautiful... yes, yes, there is a trend here. I've since widened my repertoire of dramas, believe me. hehehehe)

    ***

But sadly, nope. We won't have it in our beloved show BUT I would like to see... sweet "afterglow" moments, at least? They are married, after all. Maybe refute the theory that Soo Ji has that Marriage is the graveyard of a couple's sex life.

    ***

By the way... Dear Showrunners--I realize that we didn't have our usual tropes such as the obligatory male lead shower scene, often with a towel LOL. The show's almost over. Are we not getting this? Or a spoof of it? Please? Is a sweaty Se Hee all we're getting? Just adam apple bobbing? the tongue thing was a gift--I mean comedic gold, but that's it?

I'm kidding :). Let's save those precious ten seconds for whatever the lead couple is doing.

    ***

One more thing... I've watched one more round of Ep 12. And to wean me off of BTIMFL, I had to go watch unsolved cases of Aliens on YouTube just to distract myself. Then I open this thread and saw @VanillaSalt 's reaction. :) Aliens hold nothing against memories of LMK. But that hair though...

    LOL. I love this thread.

I knew K-movies were a lot more graphic, but not that graphic holy sh** ! TvN i think it definitely more free to show hotter kiss scenes than the primetime channels though

Ahehehehhehe. Your comment sent me straight to the gutter. I'm like Ji Ho scrubbing that table at the moment.

TBH, I didn't know about the For the emperor thing. I read somewhere that he's capable of kiss scenes, etc and that title came up. So I YouTubed it. There was an MV. Nothing much... just him and the woman, different scenarios... I was losing interest when BOOM. A part of 'that' scene flashed on my screen. I was stunned that it was sneaked in that MV! Of course I had to look up the movie and watch it... you know, for research. To confirm that what I saw was indeed part of the movie and not my overactive imagination. LOL

OMG..OMG OH MY GOD I JUST WATCHED THE SCENE! WTFF WTFF LEE MIN KI???!! ommg that was straight up porn like. They literally showed her breasts and like him going inside her. That waass crazy! They were legit naked like im so shook rn. We are defenitly not getting that in this show lol! The hottest we'll get is the beach kiss probably. Wow tho that was so intense!

Heheheh. To be honest, I didn’t like his hair in that movie. But I wasn’t looking at his hair... bwahahahahhah.

I tried looking up that movie on Instagram tags just to find clips, but I couldn’t find it lol. Maybe it’d be marked as inappropriate or something. Also, when you said “I wasn’t looking at his hair...” my mind went straight to the gutter thinking they might have shown part of his ..ahem... something else

The calm answer: The film has violence and the story involves gangs and money lending and gambling. Blah blah blah.

But what I really meant to say was:

At least... for certain scenes.

Omgosh. It's like soft core...... I was shocked. I'm so used to the chaste, maybe occasional hot kisses from dramaland, but movies go hard core. Hahahhahaha. But dang. Lee min ki. Had no idea. Jung so min had a "bed" scene too. I mean nothing showing, but I was surprised too.

I'll...I'll just skip the bloody parts and find the soft core parts lol. The harder I'll go for gang scene is like Ajusshi with won bin lol. even then I had to like pause in between scenes because i thought it was gorey haha

Oh my god @polarbear99!!!!!!!! For the Emperor!!!! Oh my goooooood.

Folks. If you cherish your sanity, do not search for that. Unless it’s late at night and you’re alone. Hahahahahahhahahhahah

Since I am practically bedridden with the flu, I have been watching Ordinary Couple. And YouTube stuff. Can’t believe CEO Ma was his rival in Ordinary Couple heheheh.

I believe They kinda did Vaccum kiss at the beginning of Ep 12. Oh wow... it’s kinda Meta since it’s LMK’s character teaching the Lady to kiss and not the other way around like in Spellbound. (Speaking of which, I wouldn’t mind a little shirt ripping when Ji Ho’s Pandora’s box explodes.)

But back to JSM and LMK. Somebody stop me from shipping them. They are too adorable!!!

Oh my gosh yes, yesss! Like, she tries to pull him forward for whatever reason, but instead the whole thing rips right off in public! Or they can do a meta for JSM’s past dramas too. Man, i really need to rewatch spellbound! Also, what’s wrong with the emperor? Is it sexy? Lol

Because Monday is a few days away... and to stop myself from watching certain scenes again, I've resorted to BTS or interviews. Mostly stuff that isn't subbed. I just like seeing them laugh and smile and joke around.

Speaking of laugh... I wonder. Will we ever witness Nam Se Hee laughing? We've seen him smile, we've seen him kiss. But my goodness if this drama ends without a laugh...

So I guess I've added another one to my wish list -- a bed scene, family life, and a laughing Se Hee.

Oh,  and I hope Ji Ho has a drinking session with her girls and finally can get in on the "intimate jokes." Maybe "woori" will be their thing?

um ok oh my god Lee Min Ki has a cute laugh?? I like him more and more with every behind the scenes that comes out. He's really charming lol. I hope se hee laughs like that at some point before the end haha

I have a question about the Ep 13 preview. I watched it on Viki and something bugged me about the last lines—I think it was Ji Ho speaking. On the subs she referred to “being each other’s Room Nineteen” and the subs explained it to be a reference to Doris Lessing’s story “To room nineteen.” Based on a summary I found in google, the story doesn’t not have a happy ending. But it is tale that casts a spotlight on marriage the pressures it puts on women and their role in the household and eventual loss of identity and purpose beyond the institution.

I don’t mean to scare anyone, I know some angst is coming... I just wonder if anyone else caught that at the end of the preview?

if the subs are indeed accurate then, wow. Looks like there are heavier themes at play in this drama, all centering on the various roles and perspectives of women and bringing awareness towards issues that impact women.

hmm...was Ji Ho saying this in reference to herself and se hee's relationship? Or just about marriage roles in general? because it seems like their relationship has a nice equalness to it where they share certain duties. Maybe JM saw the example of Se Hee's mother and father dynamic and was afraid of that happening to them?  I really want to know what se hee's personality was like back then. I don't think he was THAT much different, I'm sure he was calculative and all, but was it as much as he is now? I'm desperate for a whole episode of his POV, but it's too late in the drama for that.

Don’t tempt me with fan fiction. I honestly used to write them for a couple I used to ship. (That ship had sunk in the worst way) If I get fed up, I just might...

I can imagine Ji Ho screeching at him in Satoori while giving birth, too. Hahahahahhahh

I can also see Se Hee arguing with the pediatrician regarding growth rates and whether or not his child is in the upper percentile. And then being all high and mighty at parent teacher conferences. Ah the possibilities.

oh my gosh i can totally see that! You should write one haha!

Talking about SW and HR, I will take the opportunity to give an example from real life (One of my friend) and since the beginning HR and SW remains me my friend story.

There is something called perfect time or perfect moment.

A good friend of mine had a relationship for 10 years, they meet when they were 16 at secondary school of course  they were too young but in western countries having a boyfriend at that age is a normal thing. After 10 years they graduated from university and he just started to work as an engineer at a company, they used to travel and go on vacations alone. At that time her father was sick and asked them to marry or to break up because they had been dating for too long.

We had a group of friends and we used to meet sometimes to eat or drink something after work and then a new guy joined the group and falled for her but she makes clear that she had a BF, that friend of us sometimes sent flowers to her to the office.

She and her boyfriend got married because of the pressure of her parents and the marriage only last one year and they got divorced and a year later she married the other guy and they have been married for 12 years already.

I think that SW and HR can’t be together because it doesn’t matter if they really love each other but they meet too early in life. SW is only 28 and has not money or something else to offer her more than his love.  There is not something bad if a woman wants to marry and have a family and stay at home taking care of the house and family because not everybody was born to be successful in the labor world but for HR, SW is not the correct person.

Wow, really? That's crazy! I guess you could be with one person half your life and be happy, but then realize maybe it wasn't meant to be. I wonder at what point did HR and WS start losing that communication? and how long have they been like this? This drama has constantly been suprsing viewers and avoiding falling into classic tropes, so I wonder how they'll handle their situatuon. The usual trope or cliche is that they'll break up and get back together, but will this couple work out? Especially since they're all within the same circle of friends and all.

With that being said, I don't think they're going to do the usual "ex vs current gf (wife in this case)" trope. It doesn't seem like something this writer would do. One thing i've grown to hate in kdramas over the years is when they pit women against each other for the man. Yeah, some women do hate the ex, but for them to act upon that hatred  in a dramatic way (aka throwing water, pulling hair etc) is unnecessary. Instead, can't they just make them friends or acquaintances? Has anyone seen Protect the Boss?  the ex gf and current gf became really good friends, so I hope this drama does something like that. They don't have to be bffs, but having a decent work relationship would be great.

  13. Idk how to feel about HR and WS's situation. I think they make a cute couple, but they reeally lack communication skills. They both need to look at the other persons wants and needs in the relationship in order to address their problems, I think. I understand HR wants to be able to quit and just be a housewife, but at the same time she should think about their financial issues. She wants a home and raise a family, but how are they going to afford it without WS making enough money? Likewise, WS should take into consideration that if they're thinking about starting a family, i guess they would need to before HR is 35 i guess. I know it's harder to have children past a certain age, but  i guess at 35 pregnancy is harder on the mother's body. Idk...i was hoping they would try to work things out, but maybe they won't in the end.

Their relationshop reminds me a lot of the two friends from Fight My Way. They were together for a long time, but once the question of marriage started to come to the table, problems started to become more apparent. I think they got back together in the end thought.

Also, I really hope that after this break up, HR finds something she actually loves to do. I'm not sure she's happy at that hostess job. Did anyone else notice how her eyes lit up at the scene with the pre-schoolers? Hopefully she finds what she wants to do other than a housewife after the break up.

hahahahaha do people still do fan fictions nowadays? maybe that's why christian grey was on SH's headboard because PD is encouraging us to go ahead with fan fictions. LOL. I'm kidding. (saying this in a Se Hee tone. Nungdamiiaeyu)

I'm all for a 3 ep extension if they make it about Ji ho and Se hee raising their child.

  14. I haven’t seen the episode yet, but did I see someone on here mention Se Hee kisses ji ho’s hand too? That would be so sweet! Small pecks on the hand or forehead melt my heart lol.

Um also I haven’t been this obsessed with a drama in a really long time. I look forward to Monday and Tuesday, then  by the time Friday rolls around the amount of time I lurk on here increases. I think the last time I was this obsessed to the point of looking at he forum in the middle of the night (on air dates) was for Beautiful Gong Shim, so it’s been a while lol. Before I started this drama, I for sure thought I would drop it and stick to While you were sleeping, but it’s the opposite. I’m behind on the other one and don’t want to finish this one yet! I’m going to miss it so much :(
