Wait, I almost forgot Jealousy Incarnate is a SBS drama! Hope JJS wins an award for his excellent acting. I'm sure JW will be cheering for his hyung too!
I am indeed sad to say that I no longer enjoy Kdramas, I wonder how JW's drama will fare in my eyes although nothing change the fact that he is my no,1 Idol. I won't be watching the award show or bother to find links to see a short view of our Joo Won.I will leave the kind Samanthas to post it later.
BTW,I am expecting the My Sassy Girl teaser /trailer too.

More than idiot. Forget about Daesang,but he at least deserved the High excellence Award.KBS made me cried on new year because of this. I don't know,for me,Lee Kang To is a real person,his life is something to celebrate and remember. The ending was like saying his goodbye to all Koreans and reminding all that the future is in their hands. After all,I don't think LKT survived the final scene but his departure was impactful. Although Bridal Mask is not famous in other countries,I think it is very memorable in Korea.They call him Gaksital Hyung!The reason why JW get high ratings almost everytime,I think Gaksital could be part of it. I feel that Kdrama viewers somehow trust JW and his dramas. XD

It's not because of their acting that I cannot finish the drama but I do end up being critical of the actor's performance and thinking Joo Won can do better.
Believe me, I try very hard not to do this. I prefer to enjoy each actor's performance on its own. But damn, it always sneaks up on me at some point.
I am quite sure I am left with ahjussis only... The youngest actor I like now is 32 from Japan... XD

This is the only upcoming drama of Joo Won that makes me not anticipate AT ALL. And we are talking about his last project before being enlisted. X(

You know you need to set different standard to watch dramas after watching Joo Won. This might also be one reason why I could never...NEVER finish Korean dramas with actors who are similar to JW age.Because I kept comparing them.
But I can watch Chinese or Japanese dramas as fine,no matter how crappy the acting is...Because I won't compare JW with them due to differences...I dunno.I am strange. XD
BUT I checked out the Decoded.... The actor needs to do some homework.

There's a crappy handheld cinema recording of the show on YT. I didn't plan to watch the movie anyway and was only curious for JW.
I am not sure what it does. Definitely not popularity I think. His role is terribly small and from Baidu comments, the movie is edited so badly that his character makes no sense except to exact evil on the protagonists.
Now with China putting a halt to Hallyu entertainment and actors, I am sad that Love Express may never see the light of the day but happy that I won't need to gnash my teeth over him doing C dramas.
Well,I shouldn't even bother about watching that movie then. It is so pathetic. I read the fan translations of that novel and Joo Won's character is supposed to be much more than what I have seen in those cuts.
He is evil but he has reasons.He is an illegitimate child who is longing for love. His ways of showing love is scary and mean but he sincerely loved the female lead.It was wrong for him to rape her but he was really happy when she got pregnant and willing to take responsibility for his actions.Just by translations,I could feel that he loved the female lead so much.But from the cuts, All I see was crazy nut man playing with girl...
Still,I think Joo Won acted well...Him being evil is so nice to watch...SO WASTED.

Things are not well in Sino-Korean political relations and the first big casualty is the spread of Hallyu. Due to the Chinese government being disgruntled that the South Korean government is installing THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) to protect itself against mainly the threat that is crazy sibling North Korea, there is now a reported ban on all Korean entertainer promotions in China. That includes airing of upcoming dramas, promotions by K-stars on Chinese entertainment shows, and casting of Korean actors and actresses in upcoming dramas or films. Song Joong Ki supposedly lost a huge pay day to do a period C-drama, and Yoo In Na finished filming a C-drama and may have her scenes and roles swapped out. A bunch of recent C-dramas starring K-stars wrapped filming this year and now will not get the regulatory approval or an airing time slot on network or streaming portal. Yikes!
You know..I am mean,the only thing I want to say to those stars' companies is serve them right. Going to China to do a drama is never a good thing and even if it becomes popular,it never lasts long. Also,Chinese and Koreans have very different acting styles.Hence,Korean actor looks awkward in the dramas. Plus the dubbing, they look really ridiculous in C-dramas.
Although I pitied those fans and actors who are there purely to promote Kdramas or fan meetings.
Love Express... I expected it. Although I've never thought that it will be because of the politics.

Where did you watch the whole movie? I saw the Joo Won's cuts on instagram,which was like only 10 mins... in total? am not sure if it is inclusive. For a movie with this much problems,it is doing well in box office. But ya... who is it for?Will it even contribute to his popularity?

About MSG, I read elsewhere that because the Chinese pulled out, SBS took charge and ran the show. Couldn't they at least manage the public relations a little better? Did they honestly expect people to buy that KJH backed out due to pressure?

Not only did he not have the helping hand of a famous co-star(for ratings and hype), he had the exact opposite! No co-star for a show that's supposed to be filming soon and terrible terrible publicity, not that it was ever great to begin with.
Sweet Sixteen is supposed to out tomorrow right? I have seen some clips of roadshow/preview. If it is delayed again...I have really nothing to say.
With Chinese investor or not... the whole thing is really horribly planned and executed. So Huayi is also going to leave the Sim Ent?

The My Sassy Girl news really makes me angry.Can Joo Won just quit already?
The reasons they gave are so pathetic. First,they blamed Kim Joo Hyun,saying that she can't handle the pressure. What?!
Then,they blamed on Terminal High Altitude Defense System .Erm... HELLO!!! Can someone tell me what is the link between this and that? My "peanut-sized" brains can't see the link. If it is about investors,there will be less capital for the production. So shouldn't this lead to casting of less known actress? Instead,we have more famous Oh Yeon Seo? Making her as main lead supposed to be more expensive than the newbie right??? So what the hell is the link??? Or Kim Joo Hyun is a spy from China is it?
The latest one is blaming on SBS for wanting to cast a star instead of newbie.I see some truth here.
But all of these sound bull$#!+ to me. The whole production is a mess.
It is not that I don't accept Oh Yeon Seo. She is amazing in her own way and has acclaimed for her works. But this is literally cheating of our feelings.And the contestants! There are 1000+ young girls who were trolled by the production company. If don't dare to take the risk,then don't start it in the first place.And Joo Won? he just becomes the laughing stock by all! He was the judge and actively promoted the audition. Now what? He did all those for NOTHING?
I personally want Joo Won to quit the whole project. I don't need a sageuk or one-last-project-before-army from Joo Won to maintain my love for him,I am sure many of Joo Won's fans are like that. I hope he will just leave everything and go to army already. I hope he will selfish just once and think of himself,not for fans or his company. Talking about that miserable company? Are they nut?

Would hibernation be the word? This will be the first year since JW debut that he doesn't do a drama. So, I am not surprised at how quiet it is here. Moreover, JW fans seems to be the type who surface only when he's in a drama. Let's see what happens next year. I am not having any expectations of My Sassy Girl. I am pretty bored with kdramas these days, most good shows are on cable and the mainstream is filled with the insipid same ole stuff. If you find anything nearly or just 70% of what Nirvana In Fire was, please share with me.

Oh.. those dramas,make my blood boil. W, Doctors, Beautiful Mind, Moonlight Dawn by Cloud, Water God's Wife.
All of those dramas that I want Joo Won to do. W and Doctors were because I like the actresses and maybe plots too. The reason is shallow but I think these actresses are awesome in their own way and can carry the drama on their own.Imagine the awesome collaboration!Moonlight was because I find Prince Hyomyeong intriguing just by reading the history. But nevermind,I saw the trailer and look like Bo gummy is doing his job well,so I guess he owned the character already. Water God's wife was floating around to be adapted to drama...I was hoping that Joo Won will take it. AH!
I read about Beautiful Mind, look like KBS mind descended into somewhere after the Descended. From having this crazy idea of creating The High budget,K wave drama production company to cutting low rating dramas.
I am watching Singing All Along which started airing just this week so can't say if this is better than Nirvana or not. I saw the long trailer 2 years ago and was waiting for it since then. The trailer was awesome for me.XD It was filmed in 2013. So it floated around for 3 years!

I am swimming in Jdrama pool nowadays. Kdramas no longer hold my interest and although I really liked one Korean drama,it didnt meet my expectation. I sometimes will enter Cdrama pool to watch period dramas. As far as I know, Chinese period dramas are better than modern dramas.

we have people pulling the hands, being left behind, crying like mad by the female lead, throwing tantrums, running in the rain, being punched till bleed, paper flying, car accident, tears dropping by JW ,hugging in the rain (again) ,that I-can't-let-go-of-my-wife-but-I-left-her-anyway-just-to-visit-her-often second lead, that I-had-sex-with-my-wife-but-I-didn't-know-it-might-lead-to-having-a-child(confused) second lead, crazy mad second female lead? ,I-am-going-to-be-with-my-ex-anyway moment, pull my JW's collar AGAIN ,call the police to arrest my man(WHAT!) and... that We-reconciled-therefore-take-my-organ thing.
If it is Chinese drama,well it is, I am expecting one of the lead to die. So bring the lucky draw(or unlucky draw) in. Who will be the one? 1) Female lead 2) male lead 3) second female lead 4)Second male lead.
Don't worry. I like Chinese dramas... They are the whole new level of makjang.It is nice to watch if you are sadistic like me. Maybe less expectation on being logical.

It's a wonderful hindsight that YSY shared in 1N2D, I am currently enjoying Mirror of the Witch and YSY has improved a lot. I hope JW and YSY have kept in touch somehow, I still remember their bromance in the Baker King BTS and Japan promotional tours.
As for MSG, Kim Joo Hyun was my choice. I know that Jung In Sun was wonderful in MoW and I think she has good acting potential. However, I felt she wasn't very suitable for the role. Can't put a finger to it. The voting results were hugely in her favor so I was very surprised that KJH won. I just hope the Knetz are at peace with this.
While,I am enjoying the Yoon Dong Gu in 1N2D. I didn't continue MOW for some reasons...But then,there are many dramas that I dropped,so it is not surprising. I am still hoping that they kidnapping JW.Or the 1N2D team does some Guests specials because I really missed JW in variety shows. It seems a bit impossible because JW is no longer golden goose of KBS and 1N2D S2 fell apart right after he quit. So they might not comfortable casting him.. BUT I really miss him acting cute or running around.
For MSG. I was all the way for Jung In Sun until I saw the latest auditions videos.It is really shown that KHJ was more natural than her.Maybe,JIS acting is better for serious roles.I amazed by JW fans for really going all the way to get the leading lady they/JW wanted.Setting up groups or encouraging everyone to vote.

Throughout the audition,both KHJ and Jung In Sun were running neck to neck. No doubt both of them are talented young actresses and at one point I was confused who to support. Now that KHJ won,I am happy for her. But throughout the audition,she has strong support from JW as a judge. I am not saying that this is not fair,it is fair, but what I am guessing is that JW knows her working style and know a bit about her through 1) Park Ki Woong and YP PD(he has also worked with her)
Now we have leads,let the ship sails... And hope this is a good drama!

ok wait....I see a breakdown on Baidu which I think explains the final voting but I still don't understand how was these 3 chosen? Presumably by JW and the panel? It's comforting to know that at least, they played a bigger part in narrowing the field.
They announced through V app. Although I don't see any news about it,it seems that this is the final 3 because My Sassy Girl IG confirmed it.So did one of the candidate, Jung In Sun.
I have to say I am very happy with results. The chance of JW getting good actress is 2 out of 3.(That my opinion anyways.) But I have to say both Jung In Sun and Kim Ju Hyeon can deliver their parts.Much more than some of idol actresses.They had small roles but can make impact out of them.
I don't know how many times I've said I like Jung In Sun,and she is the one for me.Her acting is really good. But I am willing to accept Kim Ju Hyeon too because her acting in Modern Farmer was well delivered.She was cute,creepy and endearing at the same time.It could be the The director who chose her/approved her because he directed Modern Farmer too and knows her potential the most.I have no comments on Han Ji Eun. She was better than most of the girls in top 10 but she was a bit overacting in the audition video.
I want both JIS and KJH to be chosen so can we hope that if one is to become female lead,can another one be second female lead?

Congrats to Yoo Ah In and many others. Did Jo Jin Woong win nothing? Well, I saw his red carpet walk and I thought he smiled like a winner. That's the kind of spirit I hope Joo Won has. In my opinion, Jo Jin Woong should have won the Daesang or Best Actor but he did not take home anything. The veteran that he is, he could have skip this whole farce. Yet he appeared in good spirits to support his drama(Signal won Best Scriptwriter and Best Drama) and his co-star Kim Hye Soo.
I want Joo Won to win but Yong Pal wasn't quite it and in my personal opinion, there's JJW. YAI was a very worthy competitor too. There's many more years for him to give us his best and as long as he is passionate and doesn't stop challenging himself, there will always be a better best.
*on further thinking* I think Baeksang is quite brilliant! How does a drama win when none of its individuals did? This is the Perfect solution. Now everyone can be happy

Hi dear,Nice to "meet" you.Welcome.Although it is super quite now and might be the same in future.:) But who knows?
To tell you the truth,It is not that we have forgotten about him.Most of us still love him although he now shares bias lists with our other favorite actors.The reason why so quiet here is many fans from this forum have moved on to other social media platforms like Instagram,twitter etc. Soompi was fun but it is just not as spontaneous as we wish to be.
