    Hehehe! I just thought the cute potato minions deserve a vote for Fan-girling. I have faith that daejang-nim will get lots of votes from Faith-lings. He would not mind me casting my vote to the minions :D They need some encouragement too...

    @ahoxan
    Thank you so much for the insightful post about the Way of the Warrior. I would love to see what will Choi Young choose and do. I do hope Writer Song will write into the last 2 episodes regarding his dilemma as a warrior.

    @toychoi
    How is it going with your therapy? Is daejang's hand still shaking? Must ensure to give him back to us soon...is that why the show is delayed? Was that your request? :D

  2. myphim said: Oh, thank you for reminding me of that. That image of Gi Cheol in Choi Young's arms. Ewww....
    And that pervy smile of Gi Cheol   :-& :-& :-&
    My gosh, I'm haunted by that mental image again. I think that image is imprinted in my mind forever. I can still recall it vividly.
    Okay, definitely therapy to get rid of that.  8-} 8-} 8-}

    Kim Bum was in there and a Japanese model I presumed. Kim Bum I would say cute but daejang is handsome :D
    Depends on his style I reckon, daejang can be boy next door to a dork (refer to CH) to another dork but with lotsa $$ (BOF) =))
    If he's beef up enough, he can be asian version of Superman too...in reference to his cover up in CH with glasses. My friend could not recognised him in CH when he wore them....hahaha and she mentioned if he's cosplaying Clarke Kent.

    Where's @myphim???
    Don't spill coffee on your keyboard upon seeing KC's body.

    Writer Song is too awesome to write such an EPIC love story - make it happen writer Song! let them be inseparable!

The first thing I've been thinking about is the title of the show and how it fits the story. I've said this before, and I think it's worth repeating, I've never seen a show that stays so true to its title from beginning to now. And I've come to appreciate the title of the show a lot more now that I've seen how the story unfolds.
    Not sure if this has been discussed in this thread before, but "Faith" the title has multiple layers. I recently learned from a viki fan post that the Korean title of the show is a reflection of the hanja characters which are meant to translate as "divine doctor and faith". But the meaning is sort of lost when translated to English because it doesn't completely capture the two characters of the title. The original poster explains this better than me, so I'll quote that person here:

    The Korean title of the show, 신의, is a perfect alternative, in my opinion. It is a homonym with its two different meanings referring to the two main characters. 神醫refers to someone with a divine skill in healing (The Great Doctor; ES), and 信義 refers to the quality of someone who keeps his own word (Faith; CY). When written in Hangul, 신의, the title of the show contains both meanings, metaphorically reflecting the inseparable pair of ES and CY.

    Yeah my brain was working again just now, analysing about daejang's lost of direction. I think this question has always been on my mind but the whole atmosphere of the drama was so angst that my emotion took over, so I had to, remain in Gutter Heaven to recuperate. :P

    I actually stopped trying to analyse or over-analyse (as requested by the production team) the storyline too much now only because I never get it right with Writer Song so I might as well just sit back, enjoy the gutter talk and BTS pics, let the story be told to me every Mon/Tue. But yes, I do want answers to the time travelling, CY's choice and a HAPPY ENDING.

    Ok, I should stop thinking. A migraine is coming up, still recovering from my sickness. And no, not caused by CHOONG SEOKKKK! :)) I was really sick before :P

  7. Nice link there @myphim. I read most of it, eyes went a bit slanted from the italics! :))

    I might have to rephrase myself a bit. I don't mean he questions himself as a warrior. Like @awesomeduck said, he is questioning himself about killing in general. He sighed that his sword has been killing the innocence rather than people he should be killing.

    When he's in the Red Moon, he had family. They were his family so he had a life and who they killed were people trying to harm Goryeo. So he's doing what a warrior should do (as according to myphim's link). It was only after his master and MH died that he lost the desire to live. ES did brought that back to him. He wants to live, yes, but in what way? Out of the warrior life or as a fisherman?

    I don't think he was given the time to think what he really wants to do, what with all that is happening non-stop. That's why when he safely transported the ministers to GM in the village, he lost his sense of way for a few hours (That was a funny sight to see)! However, he was quickly given another purpose / errand again by GM and distracted by ES's act of Mata Hari.

    Young can still be happy with ES as a warrior (if that's what he wants). But will he? If he's questioning about taking lives. Warrior with a code or not, they are still taking lives. They take it when they are being attack, that was what Young was doing in EP22 to protect GM, but we can see now, he hesitated and showed signs of remorse, he does not want to do it. He's detesting it now. He could not breathe when he came back to the Woodalchi quarter until ES hugged him.

    Edit: He didn't agree with how GM goes about it and that also lead to why he thinks he's killing unnecessarily.

  8. My question now is:

    If he starts to question himself, as a warrior, who are supposed to take life, what is he going to do next? What can he do?
    ES's knowledge of him is to become a general in the future. He is to protect Goryeo.
    She sacrificed for him to go back to Goryeo to be a warrior, because that is the only thing she said he is good at.
    So that brings us back to...what does CY really want to do???

    If he is to become a general till he is 70+, he is still taking lives, including innocent lives. He does not have a choice when it is at war/battle.

  9. @awesomeduck @myphim @hayuinblue
    Possible. I was playing EP1 in the background last night, watched bits and pieces too and he did not even flinched, hesitated or blinked an eye when he slashed the modern man's neck in order to check if ES can save him!

    At that time I thought *wow*, such HUGE difference to the Choi Young I now know in the later episode. I think when the whole drama ends, we will need to revise them all again to see the whole transformation in one go. Right now, we're seeing it bit by bit because it only airs 2 episodes per week. I think the whole transformation and storyline would presented itself more clearly for each character if we go back and watch the whole thing again without having to stop.

    It is absolutely zero quiet from the Faith production. :(
    I think they are still filming and won't finish till Monday again.
    And after that it would be wrapped up!!! How exciting and how sad all at the same time! Eek!

    Here you are some photo of my BJD, Tokiya (Crobidoll B-Line Yuri) cosplaying our beloved woodalchi daejang. After lengthy consideration it was his black garment I chose to make. Due to his size (68 cm) my choice of fabrics was limited, I couldn’t use heavy material. Tokiya has blue eyes, and I don’t have any brown eyes in my doll family, so I could not change his eye color. Nevertheless I hope you will like him:

    Well you can listen to Faith while you study! I thought you said you were working.....? Tax stuff.....nasty >"<
    I understand what you mean, I have got drama lined up (accumulated I mean) in my PC and somehow I can't bring myself to concentrate on them at all. The only one I watched was Once Upon a Time S2E4 this afternoon. Tried to watch Yamapi's Monster the other day, could not stop skipping. I think I'm wary of police + solving mystery plot that Japanese seems to be in love with. Every season they will surely have them....sigh. I need something interesting and fresh, like Faith :P

    She minor in psychology...so her skills may not be as well-developed as yours.

    @rrmski
    I'm still obtaining all your shared files :))
    No, you're not crazy. I see everything Faith, Min-ho or IMJA related at other forums, I too want to share etc but I've to refrain myself...hahahaha!
