I mean from what I remember reading, it was said that she wants to distant herself from the "image" that was portrayed of her during her "X-Men" days to viewers. And I also heard rumors on how one of the reasons why Park Ye-Jin and Lee Chun-Hee left "Family Outing" was because people were starting to identify them more for their roles on that reality program as opposed to their acting performances/characters in their normal line of work.
However, it's been many years now and while people will look back fondly at it, I don't think that it would be so damaging to her career if that's what she's afraid of.

  2. After finishing Episode 17, I have to admit that up until this week's episodes, there was a part of me that was disappointed by the writer's decision to have Chairman Park as the true villain in this drama.  I wanted In Ha's mother to be solely responsible for her actions and to now pay the price for her past misdeeds.  But now, with all these new revelations, I like the direction in which the writer has taken the drama.  Above all, I enjoy the juxtaposition between the choices In Ha's parents' made all those years ago.  That was a really lovely twist and provided a lot of food for thought -- not just for Dal Po and In Ha, but for us, as viewers as well.

Another reason I like how things are playing out is now, I can see how In Ha's parents ended up together way back when.  A part of me has always felt that if there was one thing in the drama that didn't make sense, it was the pairing between In Ha's mother and father.  Before they were divorced, they had to have a marriage and I just couldn't see how a woman as driven as In Ha's mother would ever marry a man like In Ha's father.  But now we know that he too once had a career, was driven and filled with purpose.  It was the choices they made, however, and the consequences they suffered that drove them apart in the end.  That makes sooooo much more sense!

Also, I definitely don't believe Bum Jo has gone over to dark side.  He was too careful in his placement of his cell phone the first time he confronted his mother in her office, and I don't think the camera panned to his hand in the art gallery for no reason.

Finally, I really loved the ending of Episode 17.  Two episodes ago, I would not have thought In Ha's mother redeemable, but now?  I think Dal Po's crazy gamble to be absolutely brilliant.  I hope she goes through with it.

Sad that next week will bring the end of this brilliant drama, a drama I never expected to like as much as I now do, but excited too to see what those final three episodes will bring.  I hope there will be happy endings for those deserving of one, and swift justice for those who need it.

I hope the PDS can keep this up and bring back RM to the top again. Moon Chae Won was awesome. I enjoyed watching her in this episode especially her bantering with Seung Gi over the virus bracelet and the chocolate she gave him. =))

  4. Oh, awesome.  RM plays the 'Dangyeonhaji' game this week, and with perhaps some explosive results.  (Too bad YEH wasn't one of the guests.  ;) )

Lee Kwang Soo gets flustered over his past dating life on 'Running Man'

Lee Kwang Soo was sent into a panic on the latest episode of 'Running Man' when his close friend and guest Wang Ji Hye threatened to blow the whistle on his past dating life!

One of the mini-games featured a game of 'Dangyeonhaji', where two opposing sides would throw questions at each other. The first side that couldn't answer the question with "Dangyeonhaji" ("Of course!") would be the loser.

The questions started, predictably, about their love lives. Although Lee Kwang Soo came out swinging, Wang Ji Hye had a follow-up question that sent him into a tizzy: "There was someone you did a drama with that started off as "oppa" but then progressed into "honey", right?"

Lee Kwang Soo was shocked at her accusation and went into a panic! "There aren't that many people who've played my younger sister!" he yelled.

The list is indeed quite short - who do you think she is?

  5. Even though I'm a die-hard MC shipper, it did not escape my SpartAce notice that at the beginning of Ep. 208, it looked like KJK was protecting Ji Hyo from the unknown as they all waited to see who the Hallyu Rabbit would be.  In particular, when everyone was shuffling around waiting for Suzy to emerge from the giant heart, he had her tucked behind him and she kept holding on to/touching his back/waist.  I knew in that brief moment that the SpartAce fans would go crazy.  I confess that even my heart leaped a little at the sight, although I also wished it was Gary in KJK's place.  ;)

In general, I thought Ep. 208 was a solid ep.  I haven't been a fan of Suzy's most recent guesting appearances (not necessarily related to her per se, more the set up of those episodes) but I liked this one.  Hard to believe that given the number of times she's been on the show (she's like the female version of Yonghwa) this was her first time playing the name tag ripping game!  It was also sweet of her to bring JSJ back into her team after the last win.  You could tell she'd felt bad about kicking him out in the first round.

Previews for next episode look fun.  Already looking forward to it!

  7. Thoughts after watching Episodes 5&6:

    - I'm blanking but I really don't remember the Taiwanese version having a stepmother and stepbrother, so I'm hoping that any evil doings will come from their quarter so that Se Ra may be spared the role that was required of her Taiwanese counterpart.

    - Episode 5 was kind of painful to watch with LG thinking MY had a role in the whole Macau incident and then treating her accordingly, but Episode 6 was all sorts of adorable with him sewing the baby outfit; being jealous of DP; taking care of MY with the shower/towel and then when he moved her from the couch to the bed; and of course that awesome scene of him partying with MY's mother and the other ajhummas.

    - Really enjoying watching LG being jealous.  He's such a typical male.  Doesn't want his toy but doesn't want anyone else to play with it either.

    - Also really enjoying watching DG goad LG knowing that LG doesn't want to share his toy.

    - There is no one sweeter than MY.
