How is Gemma's adoptive mother related to her father? Sorry for asking. I only started watching mid way. The way I see it, the mother and uncle are hypocrites as they had taken money from MHG to hush up about the hit and run.

Could be she is 'undercover' trying to investigate on her own after her husband's death. Highly likely her husband was murdered. Also, I have this strong vibe that Professor Seo is the ringleader or one of the snakes in the illegal gambling.

I think what is making the mother in law softening toward GN was what she said : that the mother-in-law could do anything for her son but she is the one making his life miserable. That must have hit her in the gut ! GN did not say anything untrue.

Don't like the 2 younger daughters. Second sister is bull headed and bossy. Youngest girl is materialistic and boastful. Oldest is not so bad but should grow a backbone and tell off her mother-in-law for abuse.

Got quite a lot of catch-up to do on this drama. I am A-ok if leads don't get together as long as the villains get paid back their vile deeds. Guess no more 'Elzabethan' frilled collars for Hara's mother!

So my tongue-in-cheek comment about Do dying and becoming a restless spirit did happen! If a season 2 is confirmed, I'd rather they not bring back Do Hak seung. Let him be sealed in the urn forever. I'd want to see new characters and fresh plots.
