    I’m almost sure too, even the scene in which JSM was leaning on SOG’s shoulder wasn’t aired and this is honestly such a loss D:

     

    Anyway tvN is so stingy with goodies, bts are so short and just a few and it’s Saturday by now and where’s my spoilerish, swoony cut for Episode 11? I grew accustomed at getting HD pics of OTP kissing by this hour.. hurry up tvN, I’m waiting for you~

     

    Ok, I know we’ll probably just get angsty pics this time, pics that will haunt this shipper’s heart, even so, I still wanna get some spoilers, the wait is just too long!

    While waiting for things to happen and screaming softly I'm dragging here my last never-ending tumblr post about our frustrating beautiful OTP:

    Son Oh Gong Heart

    Everybody knows by now that Jin Sun Mi is in love with her demon, the bull king, the dog secretary, her assistant and her first love, general winter and the summer fairy, the Heavens, even the zombie with a rotten brain has been doing some clever remarks recently (yeah, let’s leave the pig one aside for now).

    Anyway, my point is that we know that well too, but I’m not sure, even if it’s that blatant, that Son Oh Gong knows or believe that. She’s not that good in concealing her expression (ok, not at all), but he knows what he has done to her, he wanted her to disappear, he wanted to eat her, he basically ruined her life when she was just a child and on, so, when she said she doesn’t like him or that she only wants him to protect her or that their meeting was bad luck, I think he takes this very seriously.

    So, maybe right now he saw trough his own denial and maybe he even admitted to himself that he feels something, but the more he cares the more he’s selfless. From what I think he has to believe that she really wants him, not only needs him, to actually try anything serious with her and let’s not forget he has been tricked by a human before.

    So of course we need Son Oh Gong to acknowledge his feelings, but for me, we also need Jin Sun Mi to risk hear heart once more and show him a glimpse of her feelings too.

     

    Basically what I said is: please Jin Sun Mi show some hint to the guy!

    @astrobooy @briseis Thank you for you confort :) I know for cable drama the rating scale is different and I remember the time when having 1% was considered very good (like during the Flower Boy series), but I think for Hwayugi tvN really invested a lot and they expect this to do really well. The success of Another Oh Hae Young, for example, was unexpected, it wasn’t a big budget drama and the female lead wasn’t still so well know before the project. But here we have the Hong sisters, Lee Seung Gi, Cha Seung Won, Oh Yeon Seo, Lee El, Hong Ki and three different PDs for CG effects. So I think they invested much more and they have high expectations for this, maybe at Goblin level. As for me, being realistic I would like this to have an average 7/8% ratings, because I think it really deserves it. I’ve loved very much shows that weren’t really popular before, so I’m not personally swayed by the ratings. But still I hope it will do better because the people working at this are doing such a wonderful job and, being selfish, also for myself, because I love this genre, so I hope, being well received, Hwayugi will bring us more drama of the same genre :D 

    Anyway, like I said, we are still in the middle and there’s still room to grow

    Agreed.

     

    I'm going to be positive and say this could have been the second Episode of the week, instead we'll have to wait "only" 22 hours and not a whole week, but I know this will be the longest 22 hours that I'll ever live on this Earth and I won't be able to do anything else except obsessing over Episode 10 and counting down every second. So yeah, positive.

    I was wondering if the Episode 8 kiss rule would have worked and it seems like we are almost there lol

    I’m smiling like a creeper right now. Will this affect their Geum Gang Go connection? 

    It seems like JSM is staying still with her eyes closed, but then she’s surprised when SOG lands his lips on her. How did they end up in this situation? (NOT that I’m complaining lol)

    Now going to sleep, can’t wait for tomorrow, this drama is both classic and completely unpredictable and I love it.

    As we (desperately) wait for subs, I’ve wanted to share my never-ending tumblr post about the frozen Geum Gang Go scene that’s haunting me.

     

    First, I’ve heard some people are unsure about why of all things Sun Mi would ask something like “Right now am I pretty?” but from what I know, just before in the same Episode, Oh Gong told her no matter what she would be pretty in his eyes because he loves her. So, of course, she’s asking if she’s still pretty (even if the bracelet is not working) as “Do you still love me even now?” and her desperation to know breaks my heart a little..

    About Oh Gong response instead, I thought he was sincere. When he answers “You’re pretty” it seems like he has to find the answer inside of him, it doesn’t come as automatic as before, on the contrary he hesitates a little. Then he’s more confident as he goes on adding “Because I love you”. This could be a way to explain this feeling to himself, to be reassured, like “Of course I find you pretty, because of the bracelet”. This is it, if he still thinks he’s under the effect of the curse. 

    Now, what if he’s aware, if he felt his heart wasn’t tied up anymore even for a moment, when she first asked? If, in spite of this, he still choose to answer her “Because I love you” well maybe he’s still tricking her, or maybe he just wants to give her the answer she’s so desperate to get and that would still be such a good thing, because he choose not to hurt her again. 

    This is only based on RAW Episode and recaps (and having that final cut on repeat), so maybe I’ll change my mind a little after watching the whole thing subbed, but I’m sure this will help The Great Sage to realize his love for a mere human, if not now, later when he’ll come to now that in that moment the Geum Gang Go wasn’t holding his heart.

    I know I'm getting greedy, considering that the whole project could have been stopped, but I still hope they'll air new Episodes this weekend.

    They changed  the schedule too many times already and I'm afraid peope will lose interest. Also, maybe airing new Episodes will help everyone to overcome the whole controversy, we have been talking so much about the producing aspect of this drama that I'm starting to forget the actual plot myself lol

    Hope there will be justice and more Hwayugi too

    I can't believe the suffering I'm going through because of this show. I was keeping my expectation in check, considering the Hong sisters wrote two of my first favorite drama (My Girl and Delightful Girl Choon Hyang) and I've always loved their fantasy works (Master Sun and My Girlfriend is a Gumiho), plus Lee Seung Gi, Oh Yeon Seo, Cha Seung Won, Lee Hong Ki and Lee El?!

     

    Briefly, I've watched the two first episodes and I L O V E this. The fantasy world they set is so rich and I totally understand how it's difficult to edit all the scenes accordingly and I really hope they won't change the script to make things easier or lower the quality! All this accidents during the first week of airing sure are saddening, for all the people involved, but I still hope that adding the new PD and taking a week more will spare us future additional issues..

     

    I've heard a lot of comparison, but I guess it's natural, considering the source material. Stories about gods, legends and fairytales always involve the same elements, what really counts is the way things are narrated and the Hong sisters have their own unique style, for sure. Also, I love our Son Oh Gong so much!! He's like a shounen manga hero: confident, impetuous and cheeky. (LSG is just perfect here, I'm so happy he was the one getting the role in the end!) Plus he's so focused on himself and has like 0 morality I can't wait  for him to actually care! About the glorious OTP, I think they still have a long way of tricks and lying to each other (and themselves) before admitting their true feelings. Of course the Great Sage won't be in love already, but his heart is literally tied to her by now, so I guess it's a good start?

     

    That said, I've watched the episodes, reblogged gifs, wrote never ending posts and actually ordered "Journey to the west" at my book store, "Let me out" is becoming the only soundtrack of my days and I've been writing fanfictions in my head at night. I guess next week is going to be a LONG week. So, really, thanks everyone for keeping the thread alive :heart:

    This was another lovely episode and there's so much more coming! I like this BBA thing and I'd love for all the jugglers to win, YY needs her revenge on boss Bong and she's so passionate she deserves this, JA actually winning would be a little unrealistic given her current skills, but I'm eager for young boss to acknowledge her value (even if I guess in the end her "housewife charms" will be the real deal) but I'm worried for our black swan too, what if she loses? That would totally push her a little more, to the dark side.. 

     

    And maybe I'm slow but anyone knows for sure who's today's intruder? Maybe evil boss? He was watching some strange video after he talked to YY today.. maybe he had NCW followed to his house and then went himself to spy on him? Anyway the actor is so good at being bad AND hilarious at the same time, I just love his evil laugh lol

     

    Can't wait for tomorrow ^^

    OMO! I've managed to catch only the last 10 minutes, but the scene when water is pouring from the ceiling is so cute and funny lol

    Like he's all bussiness, leading the longest office meeting ever, then the water starts pouring, everyone starts freaking out, but he's so out of it like "I can't believe this", then she puts a drenched tiny tissue on his head and he's like "I can't believe HER", that was so funny and cute (and I think he was a little touched too).

    Anyway this is, hands down, my favorite airing drama at the moment, with the big "meanie" male lead and the similing and ambitious hardworking heroine. If feels both classic and fresh to me and reminds me of Pride and Prejudice a lot, hope it will stay this good ^^

    I've been waiting for this~~~ I Hear Your Voice and Dream High will always be my favorites and I was scared and excited about this show, but I've only been reading praises from everyone, k-netizens, international fans, bloggers who used to hate LJS, I guess I need to get the first two Episodes NOW, before people on the street start enthusiastically discussing the plot before my eyes! Don't wanna spoil myself, but I'll surely be back reading once I'm done watching with subs, CAN'T wait~ :wub:
