Yeah she doesn't need to please those who tend to critique without even knowing the in-depth story or haven't watched a single episode of the drama. However, due to her past kissing scenes, can't deny that she has been associated with kiss awkwardness especially to the norms and standards of international viewers even though K-people didn't have a problem with that. Some SH fans say she needs improvement in that department. What I mean is if here in Doctors, if she could conduct an exemplary kiss scene in accordance to the script, it could create a wow factor that will be another milestone and to slam those detractors regardless whether she cares or not.  

Of course no one would say no with rating but they have no competitor right now in the same time slot which is prob one of the reasons they aren't even trying

 

I thought she was weak in kissing too but after Pinocchio I changed my opinion. More often the kiss scenes were directed and broadcasted based on what directors want. Jo PD made them kiss so much ( We had 15 minutes of kiss scenes in the D-cut ok lol)  to get the perfect angles but he didn't air the hot parts because the was afraid to loose the rating. Korea TV is watched by everyone included kids and those hot scenes might not be appropriated and their mom might change the channel.  Hence most of cable dramas do those scenes better 

My point is it's not up to her to make the a wow factor to satisfy us nor she has to prove anything when it's really up to her 100%.

But of course she is an easy target. When they like it it's all the actor's doing but when they don't like it, it's her fault.

Plot wise it's another parallel for jh and hj. The difference is they did their best this time unlike with hj's grandma- SW's dad didn't really do his job.

Point to this was probably  hj n jh have no family now and should make one together? Lol idk

 It's also a push for jh to show hj his worst and everything if he wants to be with her. It highlights the difference of what happened 13 years ago when both decided to leave for each other's sakes. Now they need to be in it together.

I don't see how it's not making sense just because you don't like it.

If SBS is serious in the ratings game, then the kiss scene tomorrow must be daebak! I think it's more of media waiting for rating push rather than sbs. They don't even promote much now

And korea never really had problem with Shinhye's kisses as she just acted as the scripts including the rain kiss earlier. The socalled critics you mentioned are those fans who want to see what they want to see (hot scene no matter circumstances) rather than the actual drama or characters. And guess what? Those opinion never affected shinhye nor she has to please them. 

If they are going to give us a hot kiss it's because the script call for it

But with his dad just passes away I don't expect much either... Probably more in the upcoming  episodes

So it's the right time for her to appear now when they have a little fight.

Shinhye is manly? lol I'm not sure if she is happy to hear that. Do you mean she is tomboy-ish and easy going? There is a huge difference 

I'm not KRW fan so I can't say much about him but Shinhye always takes care of others including the staffs. Like she is fixing stuffs for them all the time. She must like everyone then .

I really don't mind we are shipping them but... I hope people try to get to know them a bit better rather than assuming every little thing and see only what you want to see. You can easily be disappointed and would hate them later for your own assumptions when thing doesn't turn out the way you want . I have seen many cases... Shipping can be dangerous

First of all, I don't see the point of compare this drama to another one whether it's DOTS or CITT.

I'm sorry but they don't have that much in common (production writer pd budget story character etc...).

Personally, I feel offended as a doctors fan, when we keep bringing up another drama to this thread, especially when its result is nothing positive.

And knowing  how big a mess of CITT was  as well as how much the pd and production got hated... Why do you even think they want to repeat it? I mean come on! Please think logically!  Just because both have LSK or what? I just really can't see the connection... at all!

Doctors is about a love of a lifetime between JH and HJ, besides their growths. What part of this sentence is so hard to understand?

She asked him NOT to meddle her business because he DIDN'T share his burden with her. Don't forget HJ came to JH to ask for help about grandma in the 1st place....

But she wasn't happy about it's always been 1-side that she shared and would seek for help but he KEEPS everything in himself. She has been holding it the whole ep and having him trying to help her even she asked him not to is the last drop. It doesn't matter what she can get. The thing is HJ has been taken care of herself just fine without anyone help. So has JH. They are both too independent. He wanted her to change and rely on him but he doesn't change it himself and rely on her.

But it's not how a relationship works and if they want to make it work, they need to open up and work together.

Like HJ's grandma said JH doesn't trust people ( when they met in front of her house) and it's time to him to put his guard down if he wants to have a real relationship with HJ

You have to remember the drama frontal is Shinhye's character  and she was able to carry the drama from the beginning with good rating ( First few eps were mainly focused on her).

She has proved herself. 

Dramas won't usually drop rating dramatically... especially with how Doctors is doing and its competitors. It has secured its audience. 

Of course nothing is 100% but I'm asking you guys not to be dramatic over .1% drop. If it's 5% then yes it'd make sense... lol

The drama is considered 2nd biggiest drama of this year so far, next to a huge budget preproduction filming oversea  DOTS. We have none of that. What is a fail? I mean PSH herself only wished 15% in rating but we are shy 20 right now. Tbh no one expected Doctors would do THIS well, including PSH and her agency. Like I said in the previous post, this isn't the kind of drama that usually HIT big. It's a slice of life/humanity drama. I'd not surprised that a lot i-fan start finding it slow and boring now.. when we are getting in to the "real meat" of the drama.

 You can go on Naver to check on her articles so you don't have time worry too much about unnecessary things lol

And of course I hope Doctors will continue to do better but yes, it and Hyejung's character are going down as one of  Shinhye's  successes.

There is no doubt about it. No one could take it away from her.

The smiles on HJ's face when she saw Hong Saem, the all-out-of-sudden hand holding moments and Hong Saem accepting all that without questioning or pushing her. 

Althought Hong Saem said it's "some", I don't see that as "some". "Some" implied uncertainty whether the two can end up in relationship or not. But for Hong Saem and HJ, they both know they really like each other. They also know that it's a matter of time they started the relationship. For them, no other will do if it's not each other. 

One attraction point of Doctors is that two male leads didn't need to be screamed by the viewers about what to do. They know exactly what to do, about love, work, and even blossoming bromance. Likewise, I'm sure Hong Saem knows exactly what to do after the argument and I have no worry at all except that Monday is coming by so slow. And I'm crossing my fingers for more of YD and JH's "Team up against HJ" moments, blabbering all their complaints, behind her back.

 

PS: It's so obvious that I'm in holiday mood already, lurking in the thread all the time instead of working. Lol XD 

 

Actually reading your post, you remind me in one of the PD notes photos last week, it said about Hyejung- To her, love is like a study subject. She only needs a week to get it down ( like ep 2 lol). So she might have never been interested but it doesn't take long for her to understand and know how it works. Her IG is 156 after all

1 The rebellious gangster Hyejung is great but the point of the the story it to show you her transformation  to a mature and successful Doctor. Just because she isn't fighting doesn't mean she is acting like her other roles. There is so much sass, honesty and maturity mix with the struggle trying to do the right things/ growing up in Hyejung. She feels so real and mature, which I can't say the same with many of her characters which mostly only appear in drama land (TOH, Heirs or even Pinocchio for example...)

2 The drama isn't perfect and the writer has her flaws but Doctors is the biggest drama right now in Korea rating wise. What do you mean fail? Sometimes I wonder if people know what they are talking about... LOL 

Even if it doesn't go up, rating has been pretty much stable and clearly the writer hasn't given the drama many reasons to  increase the rating. I mean I could tell rating wouldn't increase after watching ep 10. It's a great ep. Don't get me wrong but it doesn't have the push for higher rating.

It's actually pretty hard to slice-of-life/humanity drama to have  high ratings so this is already miles stone to me. They are just NOT that kind of HIT dramas ( fast pace, dramatic, addicting etc.. so if you look for those quality you are in a wrong drama lol)  but HMH did some good baiting to stabilize her audience before getting to the real humanity "meat" 

And knets are pretty predictable. They like what happened in ep 4,5 and 6- if you know what I'm talking about. If the writer give them something similar rating will go up.

 

PS: for YD fans or YD-HJ ships, you aren't alone, it seems like knets are really falling for him. If writer doesn't step up the game for our OTP it can be dangerous LOL

The thing is if the conflict makes sense?

Conflict and stress cause changes. That means they are growing, which is pretty much the drama about.

I mean if you think about it... they have been fighting since the 1st time they met. They even fought right after they know he is her teacher. Nothing has changed.

The thing is this issue should be addressed  and I'm glad it's early in the drama. 

I believe this "fight" is a stepping stone for their real relationship which will be established next week
