Another new rumor from DCMBC (so please dont take this seriously) Rumor has it that YEH has been sent the script or chosen for a KBS2 drama titled "Man Of The Equator"...Rumored male candidates...Gong Yoo, Joo Ji Hoon and Ryu Si Won.
It's the same writer as "Woman Of The Sun" and it will be a classic Melodrama.
Once again those are just rumors and could totally be groundless so please dont take it seriously, as we have had so many unfounded rumors lately.
I hope the rumor is true...I will be happy either Gong Yoo or Joo Ji Hoon...But then again, like you said we should not take this rumor seriously ..still, thank you for sharing with us
This rumored drama, do you know the sypnosis and when it's supposed to air? It'll be something if she takes on this drama and Gong Yoo or Joo Ji Hoon also takes it on....

A bit too late? Merry Christmas to all....I am grateful to all of you here for the updates about Miss Yoon Eun Hye, for the gifs, etc..I'm sure you have lengthy wish list for our favorite....
Surely, we are all optimistic that 2012 will be a good year for our YEH.....I have a strong feeling that YEH has already found a very good script for her next project...I'm sure she is more careful right now after receiving criticisms because of My Fair Lady and Lie to Me....
all actors and actresses have ups and downs ...at least YEH's stature in the endorsement and modelling remains high....
YEH was bombarded with criticisms both from the antis and critics, but I'm sure she takes it in stride...I guest we should do the same...Let's face it people have much expectation from her because of her stature...And YEH is very wise to handle such course of events and criticisms...She will definitely takes these as challenges
With her stature, YEH deserves better scripts...She deserves to work with the best writers and directors...I'm sure she will not run out of offers...
I am also open to option for her to get good handlers who can help her get best projects... In my observation, YEH knows that her next project should be very good to bounce back and I have strong feeling that she will give us surprises early next year...
As I look back about her career, I would say that Coffee Prince remains top of my list...Script, directing, OST, editing, acting of YEH and the rest of the cast are great...I re-watched CP and her four other dramas very recently, and I would say that her chemistry with Gong Yoo remains my favorite (NO 1.)...very natural, no awkwardness ... their romantic scenes may not be new but they managed to give us the feelings of something new and unique...even the bed scene (the imaginary scene of Hang Kyul) is beautifully executed.
My second favorite is Goong...she is too young that time, too innocent and too perfect for the role....Even her rawness blended well with the role and storyline...Her chemistry with Joo Ji Hoon is my second favorite..Even critics in Hollywood prefers the rawness of the actors and actresses so they can be believable in their respective roles.
Third is Vineyard Man...No one would argue with us that the drama is well written and well executed..I was drawn to its simplicity..
I'ts been a toss between Lie to Me and My Fair Lady as to which is the fourth or fifth...
I enjoy the chemistry between YEH and Kang Ji Hwan...but sometime I am thinking it would be better if the script is well written..But I guess we cannot be so lucky at all times..
In My Fair Lady, I cried in a couple of scenes and Yoon Sang Hyun is funny and good in many scenes..I enjoy YEH's fashion and YEH is so beautiful and elegant there...I enjoyed her songs there (Dash Girl and Romance)... YEH is also good in other scenes...
How I wish, YEH stumbles a very good project --at par with CP if not better..Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All

Please don't be upset by news that our YEH didn't make it into nominee for SBS drama awards. To be included in one of TV awards (as the nominee) is good but to be excluded from that event didn't mean the end of her career. She's still young, she still have a long way to go to prove herself that she's one of the best in her career. And I believe she will reach that position in the future since she's got talent. The cynical people might see my view with dubiousness but I believe of my YEH. I just hope she will give her own career/reputation first priority in choosing her next project rather than the other's, cause experience's proved that she will gain nothing by putting the other's importance first (MFL & LTM)
SBS can excluded her from the list of their drama award's nominee but YEH is still one of the most sought after actress in K ent. industry. Many PC want to cast her for their next project, it's proven by many rumors mentioning her name for some project on 2012. So cheer up warriors. When the time come she will shine again *quoted image*
I agreed with you (100%) ..She already won Baeksang best actress for Coffee Prince besting all contenders from different television stations --- a great feat for a very young age....

Good advice momche, I really appreciate that *quoted image* Yes we have to be on YEH side & support her (no matter what) not just when she's on her glory day but (most importantly) when she's on her bad days. That's a true fans. Just because she has 2 "not so stellar" projects doesn't mean she won't have good project in the future. For example Hyun Bin. Before becoming more famous because of Secret Garden his previous works i.e World Within & Friends, Our Legend didn't have good rating in Korea. But he didn't give up and take his next project which is the infamous Secret Garden. And I believe (like HB) YEH will have her glory day again one day. Moreover in my opinion what YEH has experienced with her 2 latest projects (MFL & LTM) not because of her bad judgement about the projects but because of her loyalty & her desire to help 2 prod. co. from bankruptcy.
curiousyeh, just like what MariYEH said, netizen at DCMBC have been talking about YEH possibility to be the female lead for "The King" since they believe the prod.co have sent her the script. But we don't know for sure, we're still waiting for some confirmation from the House.

I shared your views... My Fair Lady is not flop ...the series reached two-digit---still a success.. the sad thing they used the rating of Coffee Prince and Goong as the barometer... Yes, MFL did not earn the critics' nod as compared to her previous dramas since CP and Vineyard Man are both well written, Goong is good...But the good thing....many people still enjoyed MFL and for me MFL is better than other dramas I have watched...Miss YEH's fashion dictate the trend at that time...
About Lie To Me (LTM)...Well no one can DENY the fact that IT BROKE ALL TIME RECORD IN THE NET.....HA HA HA...I am not a shipper..but our Miss YEH and Kang Ji Hwan are both good actors and their chemistry and their acting saved the drama...At least I enjoyed the drama, I giggled, I smiled and I laughed, I cried, I dreamed to find prince charming someday while watching the drama. And watched it over three times without feeling being bored.
While I agreed that CP is much better but I don't find Lie to Me as trash...And I swear this drama makes over a million of people outside Korea happy and the hits in the net is our evidence...
As to the King, who knows? nice to watch her opposite Won Bin..one of the casting coup ...we will never give up...even the superstars and great actors in the Hollywood has shared of flops ...but these never diminished their status

Oh really I read in Sept that lead was Lee Byun Hun and maybe it has changed then and if its Won Bin then is really good.

Our Miss YEH knows that we miss her so much ..with no info about her next acting project...she makes herself visible for her worthy cause and of course for her supporters ..And I am glad that she attended this event..she always takes time to give her precious time for this worthy cause...

Thanks for posting the photos of YEH with TOP for Calvin Klein photoshoot..I like these photos...sexy but classy...she did not show much skin here but these photos still came out sexy, classy and intimate..very artistically done... I like all, especially the third photo...I always like Miss YEH's curve..Hope she knows the existence of this thread so she would know that she has many international fans...

Being a top star means seeing her in less projects and CFs...But who knows? this year or next year will be the exception because possibly she can find good dramas or movies or more CF...the reason is because she will be rewarded for being too kind and loyal..

The tweet about wanting a doll is irrelevant to this movie. She was the first choice of the director to star in it and he even wrote about it on his weibo that she is the heroine.
I dont know the reason why YEH may have rejected it. There could be a ton of reasons.....
Let's just respect her decision, I am sure she has good reasons.
The only disappointment I have is that the opportunity lost to work with Chow Yun Fat.....So we should be happy, YEH had valid reasons I am sure of it.
Initially, we feel sad...However, I felt relieved because the anticipation and false hope is over...We all trust Miss YEH, we all believe that she is in the better position than us to assess if this film is the right project for her...It's her destiny ....Like you said the language barrier...I am asking myself if I will be satisfied if someone will dub her voice in the film, I am guessing this is one among many reasons why she turned down....
But we should be happy because surely, she has other prospects.... .

i agree with you. i think YEH should concentrate on movies or at least make one or two before another drama.only if YEH is willing to that.i know that she knows what is best for her.so mine is a mere suggestion only. i think tv drama korean fans are very hard to please and very quick to pass negative judgements on YEH.so if carefully choosing a new project she maybe consider a drama instead of rom-com.the whole world knows she is good at that. so time to show her more sensitive dramatic side.i am sure she will do well.of course i will support her in every way.
but i think if she will branch out to big screen she must pick script or story with very strong woman character maybe a true to life story. like sally field in norma rae and places of the heart.a story with strength and depth that will show a woman perseverance and courage. a story and character that will tug at viewers hearts and give hope and inspiration as well something different from mbmd or her rom-com drama.YEH is a good actress. i know that so given the right material and director she can become a dramatic actress.a good movie for maybe 2 or 3 hours will showcase that. then peoples perception of YEH's abilities will change tremendously.

I may have some bad news but not sure yet...just hope YEH has not changed her mind about taking the Chinese movie offer.
I felt sad if it is true that she turned down the film with all the hype and the movie has a great potential...But she may have a very good reason for that and I trust her judgment. If she turned down the Chinese film, I'm sure she is considering other good projects right now...how I wish she will be busier this coming months so we can watch her more and more..
I am excited about her birthday gathering with her fans on October 9...I'm sure she will give the fans there good news..maybe a new drama or film, about CFs...
Miss Yoon Eun Hye..happy birthday....She is pretty (physically) but what makes me admire her more is that she is more beautiful in the inside... She is God fearing, intelligent, grace......She has values, principles, passion towards her work....She loves and treasure her family, friends, co-workers, fans and even the people she does not know--especially the vulnerable ones through her charity works.

If there was some bashing before, the soompi admin, mods and others for sure have done their job and have already dealt with those offenders accordingly. Bringing up the past offenses of people when they have already been reprimanded is kind of unfair and is only gonna bring negativity in here, so lets try not to dig up bad stuff that have already long been burried, cause nothing good will come out of it.
Sorry if you feel attacked and victimized here.There are times when fans sometimes do get carried away, so thats when the pm button comes in handy.
Usually if it gets really out of control,YEH fans would private message eachother and say what they dont like (just to keep the peace in the thread, or to keep eachother in check.) Example: I pm'd certain members before, told them nicely to calm down or to iron out misunderstandings. I found out that it works pretty well and makes the thread less cluttered and more positive.

Oh boy, what a heated discussion among YEH fans. Each of you has your own reasonable opinion and views. I respect every opinions and learn a lot from it. YEH is one of few Korean celebs who has a large & very diverse fanbase. From kids, teenager, adult, middle age to the oldster. With this wide range of age of fans it's inevitable that each fans has their own view, opinion & expectation about YEH (as our idol) which some time can create a conflict to each other. As a fan you can have your own opinion & expectation of YEH but DO NOT FORGET that as an actress YEH's already have her own plan & target. And I believe broaden her experience (and hone her acting skill) by taking other genre in the future is already in her plan board (That's why she's considering taking part in Tong Que Tai) And IMO she's too talented not to pursue it.
Some of you maybe disappointed by the "performance" of her latest drama (MFL & LTM) with some netizen & blogger bashing of those. But for me it won't deter me from believing that YEH is a talented actress and has potential to be a great actress one day.
And one thing, YEH isn't just an actress but she's also an ARTIST. And I believe her CK "infamous" photos in Dazed & Confused is motivated by her desire to express her self. Do you know that one of her favorite photographer is Peter Lindbergh, the world's prominent fashion photographer who is specializing in taking pic of supermodels (in B&W) & some of them are in nude. While I find her more pretty than most of the actresses and women in the world, I will never post here that she is more beautiful than that (naming) actress..For me she is a good actress but I will never say that she is better than that (specifically naming) actress because we do have diverse taste...

i dont think you would get sucess if you r affraid trying something new....and like we know, yeh always likes to try to do new thing and work as her as the other..
like u said, Ha Ji Won's dramas r also on the top list...take a look at this, HJW has been in the acting career for so long compare to YEH, so thats normal to see her dramas are on top of list....
but like CDBloom hyung told me "as for the age of 20s, YEH is the most sucessful and popular actress in Korean"....
i also feel u as well, lately, YEH's dramas were not really as sucess as we wanted them be, but dont give up yet...if we feel sad one, YEH would feel sad 10 times as much as us...we r the one who will give her the most support and encouragement, so if we give up now..what is she gonna do now??? who will give her a hand when she needs it....

But I will make a forecast that her next drama or movie is very different....There was attempt on her part to do melodrama in Love Song but something tragid that happened..

Like you, I am longing for more news about her..Her birthday draws near and unfortunately for me, I have not seen her in person. I have not gone to Korea..not yet..I have been to other countries as tourist with my family but not yet in Korea...I have financial constraints so I can't go there not at this time...
Her CK photo shoots really shocked me...While the photos were all done in good taste and artistically, for me these are still hot for her considering her stature...
I think Koreans and other fans would like to see her again in the tradition of Goong and Vineyard Man (I mean the very wholesome side of her)...Hope the Calvin Klein photo shoot will be the most and last sexy she had ever done and she would not do photo shoots that are more daring than CK one anymore...Many would not agree with me but my prayer is for her to do wholesome ads again to show to the world that she never give up wholesome side of her...I am wondering why Ha Ji Won of Memories of Bali and Secret Garden remains on top of her career...Maybe because she has the limitation of showing a lot of skin...
But please don't get me wrong...I still love Yoon Eun Hye but I just hope, she would never do photo shoots that are more daring than CK. The CK job is still ok with me at least she done that when she still young. The CK work manifests that she can be sexy and artistic .... I am still happy that she preferred to put limitation in showing skin as evidenced in the CK ads when she still covered some parts of her body so she would not look so bare...

I can’t help but feel she’d be eaten alive, and while she’s enormously appealing and charismatic, Yoon’s biggest sticking point as an actress has always been… her acting. And if we’re not pulling any punches here, there’s the fact that her last three projects have been major flops. My Fair Lady, My Black Minidress, and Lie To Me — all commercially and critically unsuccessful.
If she does end up taking this, it would be pretty interesting to see her stretch herself and take on a new genre. Maybe it’s time for her to ditch the rom-coms and try something more meaty. I did want to see her tackle romantic melodrama with Love Song, before that project was shelved.

As a YEH warrior, I can't help myself but to react. I felt sad about the slant of this article...It only confirmed my thoughts that some media are unfair to YEH and will do their share to put her down..
For one, I don't agree that My Fair Lady is flop, rating wise...How could it be? when it ended at 19% plus rating and none of the the MFL's episode went below 13% rating...While I agree that MFL is not artistically successful, YEH's acting is not bad at all. There were criticisms in the first episodes but critics and many viewers agreed that she did better in the later episodes...About Lie to Me, well it was not well received in Korea but it broke many records in the internet viewership..And to say that her acting is not good is unfair..Critics praised her and many will agree that she did better here acting wise...YEH's professionalism cannot be questioned and even stayed on the project until the end and she and Kang Ji Hwan did their best to do their share to improve the drama despite criticism and low rating..But no matter what, I still enjoyed this drama despite of its flaws.
About the My Black Mini Dress..I don't think that its performance was that bad. It opened second in the box office...second only to Oscar Winner's the King's Speech...Her acting was praised there..Well this one received mixed reviews but majority of which praised her acting and the movie...
But I do agree with the writer that she should take this movie with Chow Yun Fat but I don't think that she will be eaten alive by great actors who were casted in this film ...Yoon Eun Hye is an actress who is very passionate towards her work and because of this, she cannot go wrong . Should she take this one, I'm sure that she will do her best more than what she did in the past because she know that this project will make or break her ... this is her breakthrough after Coffee Prince...
I also agreed that she should leave romcom at least for the moment...Really I'm really nervous for her next move..I am afraid that she will not take this role and waste this opportunity to work with Chow Yun Fat and others.. I think the best move for her is to go venture internationally...expand her horizons by going internationally..Please take chances, I have this strong feeling that she should go to bigger market for 2 years and return to korean arena after making good in international market...
Should she decides to remain in Korea, then I hope Love Song should be revived with Won Bin, Jo In Sung or Jo Hyun Jae or take Fly Again but please not roncom at the moment..go back to romcom only after successfully penetrating other genres... Korean audience' lackluster only means that Koreans want you to take other genres...please don't waste your talent..Please accept this Chinese historical film .I will be relieved if you confirm the project

Your information interests me...my desire for YEH to do this project intensifies, I don't really mind if this drama does not focus on her character as long as the role is so good and an acting piece, then no problem with me ....if the rumor is true and if she indeed accept the project....I think the writer will still give her good exposure ..to entice advertisers, the producers will still capitalize on her popularity so fellow fans don't worry..
