    While waiting for The Sleeping Princess to finish, I went to watch Love of a Thousand Years (The Killing of Three Thousand Crows). He is also very cute in it, though a little less stern and masculine compared to his general character in The Sleepless Princess. I adored him in Let's Shake It! I feel like he's pairing up with several of my favorite actresses through his dramas! An Yue Xi, Zhao Lu Si, Hu Yi Xuan...all lovely actresses that can act really well! I wonder if he'll act with Bai Lu or Li Yi Tong in the future too!

           Their food had come. Just some salad for the girl, but a huge portion of spicy beef stir-fry with some baked potatoes and salad for the guy. The waitress gave a warm smile to her customers. “Can I ask for your signatures, please?” 
           Only the guy responded with his famous shy smile that exhibited his deep dimples. “Sure.”

           Excitedly, the waitress handed over a piece of paper. The guy signed it. The girl rolled her eyes over, annoyed. Sensing that her female customer in the private room didn’t like what she had asked, the waitress quickly said thank you, bowed to them, and left the room. She actually had a clear instruction not to bother them, but not everyday she would have the chance to serve a pair of famous actor and actress. 
           After making sure that they were completely alone, the girl quickly said, “Why did you give your signature? Now they will never leave us alone because you’re too lenient.”

           The guy frowned, surprised to hear the contempt from the girl. “It’s just a fan. How could you be upset? Should you not treat people nicely?”

           “Yes, but in our position, we have to set some boundaries.” 
           The guy wanted to say something, but he stopped midway. He just watched the girl eat her salad, little cut by little cut. Very proper. Very prim. No wonder she was so slim. A requirement for their job, but oh how he wished she would let loose once in a while.

           The girl continued saying, “Anyway, are you going with me tonight to the press junket?”

           “You know I can’t. I told you I have a meeting for my movie project.”

           The girl pouted. “You have lesser and lesser time for me.”

           The guy put down her fork and knife, losing some of his appetite. “SR,” he said. “We have the same occupation. You know how it is.”

           “Yeah, but I thought you’d put me as your number one priority.”

           “You are my priority, but I also have other obligations. My work. My company. You should support me, of all people.”

           The lunch date with his girlfriend left him with a sour mood, but he tried to cover it for his meeting with his future director and co-star, a first-time director and a reputable actress, both of whom he had never worked with before.
           The meeting took place at the production house, but the conversation was very relaxed and informal. He had heard that his co-star was a bubbly girl, but he never expected that she would be THAT hilarious, her infectious laugh rang in the room every so often that they almost didn’t realize it was actually a work meeting, and yet they had talked and established so much that it was nonetheless remained a fruitful meeting. 
           His girlfriend kept texting him, making his cellphone beeped every so often. He didn’t understand why she grew so insecure. He thought he never had given her any reason for her insecurity. He had been faithful. He had never cheated all his life. Once he said his commitment, he’d like to stay committed.

           Finally, his girlfriend called. With a degree of annoyance and embarrassment, he excused himself to step out of the room and answer the phone.

           When he got back, the director was gone.

           “Oh, he’s just going to the restroom,” said his co-star, sensing the question in his head. “No worries.”

           He sat back on his chair. 
           “Are you okay?” His co-star asked again.

           “I am,” he said with an uneasy smile.

           His co-star’s eyes glinted. She was such a tease, but her teasing smile was also full of sympathy and understanding.

           “Don’t get upset,” she said. “If at least one party stays calm, it might’ve been a challenging water, but the ship will sail safely nonetheless.”

           “Are you a sailor?” 
           His co-star laughed out loud. “You’re funny,” she said. 
           He couldn’t help but laugh, too. And also amused. How could she find him funny? Sometimes people thought his humor was dark and dry. 
           His co-star quipped again. “And to answer your question, yes, I’m a pirate. Which means I’m a fantastic sailor. I’m experienced in navigating all waters, so you could trust my opinion in all kinds of sailing.” 
           They laughed again. Suddenly, he realized how beautiful her eyes were. They were big and bright and very expressive, and as soon as she laughed they morphed into tiny slits that radiated even brighter like stars. No wonder she was famous for her eye smile. 
           Now the girl grabbed the snack on the table. 
           “Come, eat. It will make you feel better,” she said, taking a full bite into her mouth. “Oh, man, this is dangerous! This is delicious! I’m gonna be so fat!”

           Her laughter rang again. He also laughed because he couldn’t imagine such a tiny person could eat so much, and he couldn’t also imagine that that thin frame could ever balloon up.

           “You’re never gonna be fat,” he said. 

           “Yeah, if you help me eat all of these!”

           “Who said you should eat all of these?”

           “Well, isn’t it such a waste they provided these wonderful snacks and nobody eats it?”

           He cracked up. This girl is funny. He started copying her, munching on the snacks, but he also teased her, “You’re just making an excuse for your big appetite, aren’t you?”

           She smirked. “You got me.” She laughed again, infecting him to also laugh.
           Suddenly, he realized how easy it was for him to laugh with her. Suddenly, he realized how so beautiful the rest of her. Suddenly, he realized the butterfly in his stomach and the weak feeling in his knees. 
           This next project is going to be so dangerous, he thought helplessly, as he felt he was sinking deeper into the charm of that beautiful eye-smile.
           

           

     

     

    Please tell me there's more to this fanfic!!!!

    I had a dream last night (must be since I just saw Instagram pics of SYJ and HB) that Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin was at a dinner gathering with his father and some of his relatives at someone else's house. HY was courteous to SYJ, but not overly affectionate. But suddenly his father got news that a relative passed away and they all had to leave. At this point, it was clear that SYJ was considered as part of the family because she left with them to prepare for the funeral. HY led her to the car, and although not overly affection, opens the door for her and guides her in before getting in himself. In my dream mind, I knew for sure they were together because his polite actions on  the surface was just a decoy to their real intimacy.

     

    It's been a while since I've discussed BinJin, but I am still shipping them hard!

    Argh, that article crushed me too. But how close is this friend anyways? How much does he or she really know? What if Hyun Bin is being super secretive this time?

    That ending scene where they were going on a picnic...it looks sooo natural for Hyun Bin to gather Son Ye Jin in his arms and then lean down to kiss her and she tiptoes up to meet his lips and then they look out at the scenery. It's Ri Jeong Hyeok and Se-Ri's happy ending, but I can totally see Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin's in that scene and not just their characters.

     

    Crash Landing on You ended with a record-breaking rating, woo hoo! I will still be eagerly waiting for Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin's real happy news!

    I was finally able to watch both episodes today and they were really worth the rating (Congrats again CLOY for the record, I was hopeful that you could do it and am super happy you did!). There were really so many interesting and impactful scenes in the drama for me.

     

    I read that the couple was apart a lot for the two episodes, but I didn't feel that distance so much because the rest of the plot was moving and there were closures for many characters.

     

    My Thoughts though the scenes might be out of order:

    Hyun Bin cries really well! I was impressed with his tears at the suicide part at the beginning of episode 15. But I was surprised at that scene because it didn't seem to match with my view of his character. He knew he was doing something dangerous when he came to the south, and it didn't just involve him.

     

    Every moment that Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin are together, I see the beauty of mature acting (and dare I say, natural feelings come into play). The confrontation, the fainting, the waiting in the hospital...the teary eyes speak volumes. Son Ye JIn never fails to impress. She is really the queen of melo!

     

    I'm really not sure why Seung Jun had to die and not be able to escape. Maybe if he did leave NK, the question would be is what would he do with his life since he has to run away from all the cons he engaged in? They could definitely have a reunion for him and Seo Dan, but I'm not too invested in his character (though thankful for his character growth). Dan's revenge seems to be behind the scenes at getting rid of his attackers, but is that it?

     

    NIS team is really cute! I'm so glad they didn't really add more villains to the plot but used the NIS characters to bring RJH and the Company 5 back to North Korea safely. They had to go back and this seems like a probable way to resolve that issue now that there bus left. NIS chief even taught RHJ about leaving future messages! How sweet!

     

    That goodbye scene at the border was heart-wrenching and so beautifully done. Everyone can see how much RJH and YSR love each other! I bet NIS was teary with the ducklings too! And all that time RJH waited for YSR while she's unconscious, NIS witnessed that too! When Se Ri's heart stopped then got resuscitated...oomph! I can feel Jeong Hyeok's heart drop and pick up again! It was really nice that both Se Ri's mom and dad asked NIS to let Jeong Hyuk stay by Se-Ri's side in case she wakes up and looks for him. What a change in their character!

     

    Did anyone thought how interesting that scene with RJH's mom is? It seemed like she knew that if her husband cannot safely bring their son back it's because the enemy got to him. She was ready to commit suicide if their enemy came to her house because it would mean she's lost both her husband and son. Her life must have been so hard being the woman behind such a powerful man because she knows all the darkness that's involved to bring him to his position of power.

     

    And RJH's dad asked if he was crying in the car... he must know how much Jeong Hyeok loves and misses Se-Ri! Him and his wife probably worked hard to get JH out of the military and into music agains so he can meet Se Ri! RJH shed a tear when his father killed the other guy for threatening him. Is it because he was surprised? touched? I'm not sure about that part.

     

    Those messages were really sweet! I think someone said that YSR got those messages to keep her going while RJH got nothing. But I think that RJH doesn't need the messages as much because he can actively work to find his way to her. She really cannot find any information on him and has no way to reach him except by those articles she posted. But he can probably get access to the internet and news and it's up to him and his family to help him find his way to her.

     

    The Ducklings are thinking of her, awwww. She got to send her love message to the ajummas with her products, but it would be nice if she can send something to the ducklings too.

     

    The eldest brother and his wife is really quite cute with their relationship. For a chaebol couple they seem to really love each other, and that in itself is rare to see! The sister-in-law is pretty and a fan of RJH, LOL.

     

    It must have been hard waiting for years to meet again. I couldn't really hear what the Swiss music guy was saying to her in their conversation about the 2 weeks. But I don't think she can only see RJH 2 weeks every year. He must be able to come to Swiss more to prepare for the special music exhibit. It makes more sense than him just popping in for 2 weeks with his students and do all prep work in NK. And how can he spend most of his time with Se Ri during their two weeks if he didn't already make all arrangements for his students before coming for this trip? Se-Ri said that it's the best two weeks, so they must be able to spend a lot of time if not all the time together. And that can only happen if he has been visiting Swiss more than once a year to do his work. Her team also wondered why she spend so much time in Swiss. Once a year for 2 weeks is not a lot of time in one place! She must have flown back and forth more often for them to think there's a long-distance relationship!

     

    I'm so glad RJH's mom and Dan's mom got to meet to get closure about their children's relationship. I can't imagine how wonderful it would be if RJH's mom and SR's mom get to have a conversation too, since they both adore their child's lover. 

     

    I'm not sure why Seo Dan didn't tell RJH the truth about Seung Jun's death. And why does no one else but Dan's family seems to know about his death? Wouldn't Se Ri have been curious about how he is doing and find out eventually?

     

    About that camera Seo Dan found, I was hoping that he took even more pictures of Se-Ri than that one with her on the bridge since Dan said he kept taking pictures the whole time. 

     

    What a beautiful ending for our main couple! I think they would eventually settle down and build their family in Switzerland. I don't know if that scene was part of their temporary vacations with each other throughout the year or a reflection of their life after settling down for good. But there was such a natural beauty and a peaceful kind of happiness that they projected in each look and each gestures...it is definitely a happy ending of a couple who weathered many storms together and has found each other again, and forever at that.

     

    Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin portrayed their characters and their romance in such a spectacular way that I can't think of any other couple that can match with this. This has got to be one of the best OTP in all of K-drama history! 

     

    I have loved Son Ye Jin even more through this drama and learn to appreciate Hyun Bin since I haven't really watched any of his previous works. I am eagerly waiting for their real happy news! Dating? Getting married? I won't be surprised! ^__^

    @L A LOL Yes, Dan's mother probably needs to get it off her chest since Dan still wanted to marry him last time they talked. But she is also cheering for Dan's newfound happiness if she chooses Seung Joon, so maybe the engagement is no longer a big deal.

     

    @blue_fleurs RJH did make it clear to Dan, so probably in his mind he is already a "freed man" even if Dan's mom didn't really know about that.

     

    Se-Ri knew that he was engaged and they even mentioned his engagement when they were caught in the snow together. But since they're totally in love and exchanged couple rings, she must know that he has already resolved his engagement issue. If they're both clear about it with each other, then other people not knowing isn't such a big deal (especially with his parents' support, since they're conservative but still approve).

    I am also curious how they ended up engaged first hand because if no one (aka his parents) made him do it, why would he engage to SD if he barely remembered her name in Switzerland?

    But again I dont know if our writernim has time to explain that either. As long as she focus on creating happy ending for our OTP, I'm happy :rolleyes:

    It's weird because it seems like Seo Dan's family still think they're engaged! His family knows about him and Se-Ri, so does that mean the engagement is broken behind the scene? It's not a big factor in the big scheme of things since our couple has so many other things to worry about, but I thought that they could have resolved this quickly with a short scene or a two-liner explanation.

    I think someone else addressed this in the fact that when one party breaks it off - it's called off. It doesn't require two to break off an engagement, like, the other party doesn't have to agree.

    I think Jeong Hyuk might have explained that about Se-Ri's broken engagement with Seung Jeung. But Seo Dan's parents still think they're engaged, so that seems odd if the engagement is already broken.

    I wonder if we had discussed this before with the relationship between Se-Ri and Jeong Hyuk. Since they fell in love and until now, isn't Jeong Hyuk and Seo Dan technically still engaged? He tried to break it off with her but she didn't want to. Although she did kiss Seung Jung recently, Jeong Hyuk and Se-Ri has engaged in their relationship for much longer. I feel like they should have resolved the issue of Jeong Hyuk's engagement first since he's still technically someone else's fiance.

    I went to see the BTS of Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye. During their Jenga game interview, Hyun Bin was definitely more focused on the game than on his co-star. There was no googly eyes and giggling like with Son Ye Jin in their interviews together! Went to check out his BTS with kissing scene with Han Ji Min for Hyde, Jekyll, Me, and it was so boring for all that passionate kissing. Really looks like they just want to get it done, and Hyun Bin wasn't extra touchy or smiley like he is with Son Ye Jin now either. 

     

    I would love to see more of these comparison videos between him and his former co-stars vs him and our lovely leading lady!

    I thought this was really cute. Whilst it may just be acting, it seems so appropriate for HB-SYJ don't you think? Esp at 1:05,

    her humourous expression when she says she dated this guy/that guy and none were the right one each time. :sweatingbullets:

    And HB's reaction to what she says from 1:17 onwards and his lip biting at 1:21. Am I the only one who thinks he was about to burst out laughing but was holding back at her absurdness but adorable retaliation? Lol I can just imagine them like this in real life. He seems like he would give in to her every.single.time.

    I thought Se-ri was hilarious in this scene! LOL She totally turned things around and even blamed him for not showing up sooner so that she had to "suffer" through all her dating. AHAHAHA It is so absurd that only someone who loves her like Jeong Hyuk would give in to that! I think in real life only Son Ye Jin can pull off that kind of aegyo in front of Hyun BIn.
