It's pretty despicable to end the show like this, whule dangling a happy ending but with conditions,, but what can we do? I'm actually paying for VIP even though the subs suck, but to me it's about supporting the work of the production crew and showing that they have value, esp. productions like these, I wish for more dramas with this kind of heart.
Even though my hearts says that CY and XY and all our beloved TSP characters deserve happiness (except the Emperor, Consort Su, NX and Marquis Beize) I can understand why this ending works. Logically, life is not a fairy tail, you'll loose the people you love, and life is not fair, sometimes the people who deserve a happy ending don't get it. The ending doesn't subtract how much I still love this drama, in time I might even grow to accept and understand it better even if the epilogue continues to leave it open ended. There's so much that I miss from not having good subs, but from what I have been able to understand it still leaves a good impression; the acting is top tier, the sadness, turmoil, and angst is realistic, the sweetness is short, but lingers. Maybe there's a little bitterness now, but it will get better. I have you all to share in the joy and pain too!
I hope CY wakes up, I would be lying if I said I would not be disappointed if she did not wake up. We all feel like they gave us the feeling that XY was her cure, right? XM helped cure her loneliness, with his stories, and XY made her wishes come true: falling in love, and sleeping at night. If anything, I have faith in XY to be able to wake her, the curse is no match for his menacing killing aura (lol)!
Couldn't agree more! if XY could fen doff the dreams with his mere presence, then why can't he wake her up? Maybe it's a Sleeping beauty sitch, where true love's kiss (LOLLL) will wake her up. I think that fans loving the show even without subs is a testament to how good this drama actually is.

It's for sure been cut...as long as I got the gist of it though, i'm happy!
AvenueX over on YT mentioned a while back that the streaming platform was gonna do extra epi or sth like that because it was doing well and ya know, they can make more money
I just don't want more drama! i can do with 6 episodes of their everyday, married life and like sweet moments.
Also, i hope it's an actual epilogue and not just more BTS (even though i love those too!), i want a proper ending!

I had to join this forum today! i've been reading and checking for updates everyday!
It looks like it's night time for everyone else and i'm only really waking up now.
First, I want to say a huge THANK YOU for all those amazing recaps and translations! You guys made the wait for subs bearable! and after quickly running through the last episodes today, i'm so happy to learn that there'll still be an epilogue!
that was such an emotional rollercoaster. I can't wait to read everyone's reactions!

I guess, for now, for me, this story ended at epi 33 - where they reunited. That was such a beautiful scene!
Although @BreezeC theory makes so much sense to me, especially when I watch the epilogue teaser. It kinda looks like GS's memories of his time with WW ( cries/sobs/fall to the ground in utter sadness). maybe he writes a happy ending for XY and CY. But who knows if he gets a happy ending too. If that's the story anyway.
I guess because we never expected such a sad ending, it's even harder to accept. i had so much fun watching this drama , that when the end came, I couldn't even handle my emotions!
I haven't been this invested in a drama in along time. Now that i'm rewatching (for the 10th time), there's so many details that fascinate me and make me rething the ending. Also, i feel the first epi had so much foreshadowing? maybe it wa smeant ot parallel the ending in some way.
I really hope we get another drama with these two! but wilth a happy ending!
