Chae Soo Bin And Minho Dish On Their “The Fabulous” Characters, The Ups And Downs Of Acting And Getting Older, And More
With regards to her similarities to Pyo Ji Eun (her character in 'The Fabulous'), Chae Soo Bin commented, “The responsibility we feel for work and the passion we have to do well are very similar. She works hard to bear all the responsibility for the work she’s assigned so I also really related to her in situations where things unintentionally got tied up or there were misunderstandings. Ji Eun and I are both at an age where mistakes are inevitable. But Ji Eun’s work at the PR agency was incredibly interesting.”
When asked if any project in particular was a personal turning point for her, Chae Soo Bin responded, “In one way or another, each project was a learning experience. There are projects that helped improve my acting skills and ones that helped me realize new values in terms of human relationships. There are also the lessons I’ve learned from meeting good seniors and colleagues. While there were obviously hard moments, they brought growth in one form or another.”
As she closes out 2022 with Allure Korea’s last issue of the year, Chae Soo Bin looked towards the new year and commented, “I turn 30 in 2023. It doesn’t feel real yet. I spoke with my friends saying, ‘We’re already thirty! How does that make sense?’ but as an actress, there’s a lot I’m looking forward to.”
2023 will also mark Chae Soo Bin’s 10th year of promotions. On what she’s most anticipating, she replied, “I have high expectations that the spectrum of roles I can take on in the future will become more broad and diverse. As an actress, I feel that this could now be the start. I always feel the same, but compared to when I started acting in my early twenties, a lot has changed. If I diligently build a foundation for the next 10 years, won’t I grow more in another direction?”

In the full interview, Soobin also talked a bit more about acting, reading (she loves reading) and her favorite book, her closest friends (who are non-celebs).
I have always been in awe of her healthy mindset~ she said that she does not dwell too much on the past and she does not hold on to things that she thinks are unavoidable:)

She will appear as a host on Coupang Play's SNL Korea season 3 (I'm guessing to promote her Netflix series THE FABULOUS as well) and her episode is expected to be out on December 3!
Chae Soobin and Choi Minho are featured in Allure Korea's December 2022 issue.

" It was really awkward at first. (But) she was really nice! Soobin was like an angel. I should be careful when I say this, until now among the colleagues that I've worked with, I think she's the kindest person."
When the hosts asked about the others whom he has worked with : "They're all kind, but she's kinder."
"We were filming when the weather was really cold and because it was a fashion drama, our clothes were light and there was a scene where we had to get wet in the rain. As a fan, kinda surprised but happy that my introverted fave has been appearing on variety shows this year
. I have been missing her a lot so I'm glad that we get see her at least every week this November (especially after the postponement of the release of THE FABULOUS). People can also watch her on THE GAME CATERERS 2 with the Starship actors and idols. The first episode already aired and the following episodes are on the 13th and 20th (Sundays at 10:40pm KST).

***10/21/2022 update: This premiere has been postponed due to the Itaewon tragedy.Reasons to watch: Chae Soo-bin is literally always great — although scripts about life in the fashion industry are not — so we’ll have to see just how enjoyable this story is. With Netflix at the helm, it’s high on flashiness, sexiness, and production value (the colors and costuming in the promo material alone have been great), but as to what kind of a story will really be told — your guess is as good as mine.

Chae Soo Bin is set to appear in the film HIJACKING (working title), with Ha Jung Woo and Sung Dong Il. 'Hijacking' is the directorial debut of Kim Seong Han and is a plane hijacking thriller-drama set in the 1970s, with a production budget of 13 billion won. She will play a flight attendant and filming is expected to begin in October this year.
