(not just because of lacking 5 moments, but lots of “iksong” crumbs there)
i can’t help but laugh so hard watching Mido, KDM and JKH in silence for 5 minutes. The whole time i pray for Jungseok to come early and save them or YYS to finish his meeting soon

and it’s cute when Shin PD compare how good friends are having unexpected meeting between 20s vs 40s, GKP and RHY in R88 vs JJS and KDM. Remember i also cannot stop smile and excited watching their first meeting GKP’s face is turning red when he knew (his good friend) RHY will be his (love) partner.
Mido once said when they did live band that JJS is real Ikjun when they meeting for the first time, he’s really bring up the mood and so cheerful makes everyone comfortable.
now they’re all really become good friends for real, cannot wait for season 2, hopefully there will be no delay due to this pandemic as some drama has to delay to next year (ex: Love Alarm, etc)

Omooo.. i’m screaming Iksong in today’s episode. Nooo i’m not shipping JJS and Mido but they’re totally giving Ikjun and Songhwa vibes in their first script reading.
and below is the moment when the production team (or Shin PD) said “Songhwa noona, a little bit shy please”
LOL, the loveline is already there since first episode.
she’s totally blushing after Ikjun puts his hand on her shoulder.

i think Ikjun and Shonghwa will be together already in season 2, probably time jump 1 year ? and they’re just doing some flashback how they start their relationship.
ahn chihong is being a chief resident and having a new apartement, it’s weird if suddenly he moves to other hospital or dying from covid ? Oh noo!!!

Shin PD already mention from the beginning that Chihong is the character that have unrequited love to Prof Chae Songhwa and only appear in season 1.
Omooo i also sad to know this. Me too ship Iksong so hard but Chihong is one of good character almost like a main character in HP, everyone is rooting for his development in season 2 and somehow hoping that he could get his endgame with new girlnow i start thinking, will they do time jump when season 2 start ?
Chihong supposed to be a chief of resident NS for one year and after that he can go for fellowship, if he’s gone means that one year already passed, right ? -

I just saw the clip with english sub today, and yess, they mention IJ as Gyeoul’s close friend and JWon is her loveline. Well IJ is a close friend for everyone
also in their first meeting with 5 main role, only JWon (YYS) is given the first information about the loveline. So i guess (hopefully), they’re confirmed to be endgame ?!
oh and yes, hopefully “they” will accept whatever the writers give.

Hi @JJS's Fan-atics sorry to cut your post short, yesss i love that moment too when IJ acted like her guardian there. And continue to the scene where IJ makes sure that he will fix her no matter what, that scene really hit me hard, even if it’s not romantic feelings, SH is his bestfriend, his family and one of important person in his life, so he didnt want something bad happen to her. Also what makes me a little bit sad is when SHwa reply with “it’s good getting a confident answer from the doctor”, not sad because she didnt see it romantic, but on the contrary feels like she wants to assure herself that IJ only said that because they’re bestfriend and didn’t want to put much hope or thinking romantic in that.

As I was re-watching ep 1 & 2, I was wondering if the songs sang by SHwa is referring to her POV esp on the part that Shwa sang? These are the only 2 songs where is is the vocalist. In ep 2, in the car after the bank scene, she was humming the same song and on the part with someone with beautiful hands kinda of link me back to ep 8 where she bandaged his fingers.
I was reading through the threads and saw the question on why only SHwa and JW are associate professors while the other 3 are assistant professors. The reason is due to military service. Recall, JW was exempted as mentioned by Ik Sun during one of the phone call and at the jajangmian resturant and i think at Ik Jun's house though the reason was not given and she did remark that that is the reason why JW rise faster than her brother.
Hi @Rainbow_unicorn5 , i also wondering the same if the song SHwa sing is her PoV. She sings also in eps 3 when they’re at Noraebang, before Aloha and some lyrics in Aloha itself. Hmmm, now i want to rewatch and analyse that scene again hahaha.I always think “the beautiful hand” lyric is refer to IJ’ finger when he plays his guitar for the first time playing Canon, when SHwa stared at him. His beautiful fingers plays the strings that makes her heart flutter

i haven’t watch any new korean drama since Hospital Playlist, i’m still stuck with this show and with Iksong’s unfinished business. And real life stuffs help me to distract from this-

@KDramaFan0828 i agree with you as the parallel of Jongsu-Rosa relationship to Iksong is getting real, and i guess Iksong become to “What If” relationship for Jongsu-Rosa. Rosa’s marriage is loveless and Jongsu loves his wife, but from eps 1 although his wife is sicks, he’s still accompany Rosa when her husband dying. I can guarantee, even IJ still married, he’s still come to the hospital and accompany SHwa for her biopsy result (however no romantic feeling and maybe he will call other guys to come also). But since now Iksong are single in age 40’, they can Level up their relationship from friendship to marriage as a completed family, unless Rosa-Jongsu i don’t think they will change their friendship to romantic/marriage, because they’re already feels like family (they’re already 70s something indeed).

I watch this scene several time and go through all episode just to check out what kind of watch IJ usually wear, and this is totally not the type/model of watch IJ have unless maybe someone gave it to him. I wonder if the watch is given by SHwa
Looking at SHwa’s character, she treat IJ in her way (i mean not seeing how it looks from IJ’s side - just like how she gave first aid/bandage his burned fingers), so maybe she gave IJ a watch based on her preferencee (for his birthday maybe?)
Episode 9
I actually love this scene because right after this scene is SHwa finish her surgery and going home, it’s foreshadowing when IJ said he waits for SHwa just like a boyfriend waiting downstairs and pick her up after works, and same like Yunbok that refuse JWan’s card/help, at the end SHwa didn’t use umbrella given by CH.
- in eps 8, SHwa is the one who treats IJ, like take care of him and they act like an old married couple ?!
- in eps 9, IJ is the one who treats SHwa like her husband/boyfriend waiting to pick her up after works.- and in eps 10 we can see they both treat each other more special and more more to become an old married couple when SHwa takes care of Uju and IJ prepare her breakfast.
i want to give more insight for eps 10 as this is my ultimate favorite episode, hopefully i can comeback before weekend

Due to not much Iksong scene in eps 7, i also dont have many insight. As we go to act 2 now, i start to look the clue from act 1 to connect the dots. So sorry if i mixed up the points from eps 7 with previous eps.
My insight not much different with @KDramaFan0828 and i agree with all you mention
, but as i already draft this i will just post it I think i would like to say eps 7 is the closure of IJ’s marriage story and Iksong could start their second chance journey in the next eps.
We know he got divorce in eps 3, but since then he’s just keeps those feelings by himself (disappointment, upset, frustate). In eps 5 he looks cool that he got divorce, but we really dont know how he went through that divorce (even SHwa said “we’re so cool, that we talk about this heavy topic like it’s nothing”, so yeah turn out that IJ’s divorce is not that simple to skip)
From eps 3, IJ said that he’s willing to leave his life in Korea and follow Hyejong to Germany, but as she asked him to stay here and take care Uju, he’s still agree to her. I believe He once loved Hyejong (he’s happy once she calls him and when he walk to meet her, he is counting how long since the last time he saw her- one and half year) but just like his previous relationship - he seems passive to act and showing his love towards her (by answer Hyejong’s call seems like they didnt call each other much - maybe due to gap/different time also). I dont’t like Hyejong but i could imagine that she might feel IJ didnt love her much.
Connect to eps 2 Kalguksu scene when SHyung asked his mother if she want him to buy her Kalguksu, IJ said “why are you asking her? Just buy some for her” - From what i see, that’s the real IJ, if he cares he will observe and just do what he wants/need to do instead ask - that’s why in eps 6, IJ didnt ask anything to SHwa, he observe and without need to asked her he came to hospital to accompany her, because he is worry and he knows SHwa need accompany to face whatever her biopsy result, and that’s just a little trigger for IJ that he cares so much to SHwa.
And in eps 7, when he’s telling the patient about his marriage life - we can see that he has so much sadness/regret in his eyes about his life. “Wasting my life because of what she did to me was doing a disservice to myself” this is said that he allowed her to make a decision for his life, he let her do what she wants and just follow them without him doing much or consider what he wants to do. This scene is telling alot how IJ process his divorce, how he dealt with it, and finally how he moves on and close the book.
And after that, IJ doesnt hesitate to approach SHwa, to do something what he wants to do, and how he start to treat himself better (well yes by having meal with SHwa *lol*)
I understand both IJ and SHwa didnt want to get involve to each other’s relationship and sharing the story about their ex, because deep down they know they will get sensitive and getting emotionally towards each other.
Different with SHwa to CH, she’s already set boundaries/wall to her colleague that sharing something or buying drinks for them wont make her involve her feelings.
ah yes, also CH asked Dr Bong if IJ and SH were a campus couple is because he sense something from eps 6 when all of the boys come to SH and ask her, while IJ just come to her bring her a coffee without ask her anything.
I know that SHwa said that they’re not in Reply1988, but seeing Taek’s father and Sunwoo’s mother in this eps is like telling us that they could start their journey from long time friend to become family (also in reply88, both of them start their relationship by having meal together regularly).
*note: just realized that Uju sleep with his toy Lion figure and make cookies with Lion head for IJ (Leo hints already here)-

@kmsl now i’m wondering how SHwa first reaction when IJ show his act of bidulgi
, in eps 6 she said she already seen that for 20 years and now she’s sick to saw that and didnt laugh at his bidulgi *LoL*.
While JWan has a smile crush on IS when he saw her doing bidulgi (maybe for the first time) i’m sure SHwa’s reaction to IJ back then is no different

All of her friends know how Songhwa loves to study, yet she learned to play the bass for 5 years
i keep looking to the flower scene from Jongsu and Rosa but still didn’t have any clue to iksong
even many scenes in eps 6 is parallel to iksong.
- the grandma who gives coffee to IJ in early eps, she gave coffee to IJ because she felt bad to cause nuisance to doctors (as preparing food for her husband). Parallel to IJ who gave coffee to the doctors and nurse because they make them coming in early morning for SH’s biopsy result.
- when Minha said “if he likes you, he will come” then IJ come to accompany SH.
btw, i read some discussion over the main thread how Yunbok and Hongdo is foreshadowing SHwa and JWon.
I kind of agree to that they’re so like brother and sister, and in eps 6 Yunbok mention that IJ is Dr. Romantic with an admire look, i wonder if she will have a little crush to IJ later, even though pretty sure it will not give much impact to iksong’s relationship.-

Hi @KDramaFan0828 sorry to cut your post short, but i really love that you mention this. I love how IJ acted like SHwa's husband in this scene, he greet the nurse "thank you for seeing us this early" and going to the consultation room together with SH.
Although all the boys are concern with her biopsy result, even JWan wants to accompany her to check the result (and up to this scene IS still have not giving him her answer). Jwon wants to call the hospital to check the result, SHyung wants to call his cousins also. That's why IJ bought 5 cans of coffee because he might think that all of them will eventually come to accompany her.
Until 25 minutes before eps 6 ended, there's no significant clue or action from one of the the boys that seems to have love interest or more than friendship feelings to SHwa. Even though all the 4 guys care for her, and direction from the writer might still vague. and yes this scene is the answer.
* number 4 is being blurred behind SHwa's head is foreshadow that there are 4 guys that might or might not have something special with her.
* and change the scene when IJ sit down in front of consultation room show number 1 in focus - could means that we have the answer only 1 person that will have something special with her among the boys, & that's IJ.
I want to point out some things that might happen in eps 6 (and this keep crossed in my mind) :
- When SHwa, JWan and IJ have lunch at SHwa's room and Chihong enter the room, IJ said "my brother, good to see you" and then SHwa reply with "a younger sister's husband is brother in law". JWan looks surprised with IJ and SHwa's talk (not because of them) because maybe IJ has discuss with SHwa about how close IS with her resident CH (and how IJ like CH and might speak a good thing about him - this is indication why SHwa is easy to praise CH in front of IJ in eps 10, because she knows he also think CH is a good guy, although that moment is different for IJ)
- When IJ finish up the surgery before went to SHwa in the morning, he didn't take his car to hospital, instead he use taxi. For my understanding, it could means he's tired after long night surgery, might be sleepy and also how worry he is to think about SHwa's condition, that might make him couldn't focus while driving. And also if the result turn to bad, he might think that SHwa wouldn't be able to drive her car.
And I thought after that, as the result is not bad IJ will just going home. but he joins SHwa back to the Yulje (he didn't change his clothes for 2 night) and still come to her before rounds and bring her coffee when the guys check on her.

hahahaha yes, Taurus is one of the most possesive/jealous sign among other signs.
But yes, don’t know how SHwa being jealous as she’s too calm in every situation.in eps 5, the way SHwa never comments about IJ’s divorce seems like that she doesnt want to know his relationship with his ex wife (whatever issue they have, even maybe listen to them mention his ex can make her irritated / a bit jealous - sorry if it’s too much hallucination hahaha ), while to SHyung she’s asking if he’s still not over her ex wife.
I don’t have much any insight for eps 5 but in the scene band practice when SHyung leave, it’s only SHwa, JWan and JWon who are shock and seems like they dont want SHyung to leave, shout out to him and looking at him when he’s leaving, while IJ still calm and sing and when 2 second later he’s leaving too, the OT3 singing louder in the lyric “don’t go”. I was wondering if IJ knew they’re planning to celebrate SHyung birthday (even though he also mention “today is thight schedule” when he’s with JWon in hospital).
I start looking clues when is IJ’s birthday or his astrology sign. And i found in (again) eps 10.There are 2 animal figure, the Bull (Taurus sign) and the Lion (Leo sign). When SHwa sleep the Bulls is point out to her while Lion head to the door where IJ standing in front of the door.
So my guess in eps 5 is OT3 plan to celebrate party for SHyung and early birthday for IJ ?! That’s why IJ looks calm when SHyung left and it’s ok for him to leave too. So If it’s July could be arround date 20 something - while SHyung is cancer and IJ is Leo.
IJ being Leo is make sense. Leo is one of the social butterfly sign, they love to party, warm hearted and have sense of humor, and sometimes didnt realize that they’re also self centered person (like when he talks about his sister but JWan know it’s about him, and in eps 9 when he said he has plan to eat teobokki with Mina and Gyeoul because they like him *lol*)
