And I mentioned this before. Dispatch to SK is like TMZ to the US. Entertainment news may be the least trusted form of reliable news due to its nature and content but it's still a form of news, in the same manner as there is political news, human interest news, sports, etc. I remember when TMZ became the first to report on Kobe Bryant's death. The ethics behind it was debated on and discussed especially since TMZ is known to back up its reports and scoops with hard evidence. But I digress.

There is always an intent behind every article published, new or recycled. This I know because of my dad's background both as a journalist and as a political strategist when he was still alive. I could go on and on with my background but all I can say is, very rarely that an established entertainment media outlet would recycle news for the sake of using it as a mere filler especially when there were other content that they could use on the same topic. An example is when someone here said that they could have very well used Kim Tae Hee and her real estate investments instead of BinJin since she's the one who has had a more recent but equally successful Netflix drama.

What their intent is for publishing an old topic, we can only guess.

Sorry to keep beating a dead horse. I solemnly promise this will be the last time I'll talk about this one.

But then, to be fair, I'll always go back to saying that I agree there are equally valid and legitimate points regarding the different impressions of the Dispatch article we have in this thread. And I'm glad we have people here who can open all of us to many different perspectives so that we don't have a one-sided approach to things.

Totally agree on the intent. It may be old news but BinJin is still relevant that is why it was published. There are several actors and actresses who have the same if not more investment. Why BinJin as a subject? Only the editorial team knows

My thoughts on why BinJin were featured as subjects making them newsworthy (Taken from the 8 values of news)

1. They create Impact

2. They have the prominence

3. The story has currency (Value)

4. There is human interest with the subject and the topic (Investment of celebrities and the business they do outside film or tv)

Again, let's trust our Korean Friends here and sharing mt 2-cents as an Entertainment writer in my country. The rule of thumb is if the source of information is not from a credible news site in Korea, do not bother to believe right away. Things are blown out of proportion if not most of the time. News agencies usually sell content to credible news agencies in other countries for foreign news. This is how Agence France Presse (AFP), Associated Press (AP), Reuters, etc do that's why your credible news comes in the same hour wherever you are in the whole world, thanks to News Agencies. That is Journalism 101.

In the case of our BinJin, I believe there is no local news agency as big as AFP or AP or Reuters in SoKor that is why most of the big news channels link their relevant news content to news channels outside Korea. This is where major news channels across South East Asia, US, and other plqces with good contration of Koreans as main audience gets their news. So lesson 101: Trust the news channels ONLY. Even if Im a solid shipper, I dont just write whatever I find here and contribute an article to my editor even when CLOY was airing. Why? CREDIBILITY OF SOURCE is the number one validation asked by my editor. Regardless how juicy the scoop is, we cant just publish anything if it's not straight from the horse's mouth. Anything that is not verified is a speculation and therefore should not be distributed by our news agency as a fact-checked news.

Dispatch, not aware of entertainment news portal in Korea, but so far my work persona and my shipper persona has a fine line. I believe what I see and good thing it is not my responsibility to write about it. Hahaha

Again, I rest my case. Please be a mindful and smart shipper as we always are. This doesnt apply to shipping alone but to ANY NEWS that you will encounter today and in the future.

I dont know but it surely looks like a BIG HINT TO ME! Dispatch wont randomly write articles about buildings of celebrities who have long sold the property (Take in the case of Yejin!) And the article title or end does say The ending is a happy ending? While talking about real-estate? I work as an entertainment writer in my country and this kind of articles usually are a guise if there is a big news coming!

I JUST LOVE THE SHIPPERS WORLDWIDE! There's a lot of things happening in the world but we all rejoice watching two people in love! I love that we continue rewatching CLOY, old shows, press cons, interviews, random sightings, etc. Even if the drought is real, there's no complain since we all know when both of them are radio silent, they are spending time with each other (Delulu mind! But why not!). I love this new discover about HB mesmerizing YJ in her old commercial. I can't undo my eyes Binnie! I miss them two! Lets wait and pray desperately until we see them again! I am the kind of shipper now who is longing to see even 1/4 of YJ or HB hahaha

I'm in Ireland, married with 2 kids...I discovered CLOY about 3 weeks ago when it popped up on my Netflix. I decided due to being in quarantine might as well watch it and see what it's about. Of course like many others I was completely hooked and fell for the charm of Captain Ri and Seri. So I have started watching other HB and SYJ projects. HB is an unbelievably good actor. He is fantastic at subtle acting with a change of look in his eye and very good at portraying emotion. I recommended MOA to my husband who loves video games and he loved it and thought HB was a very good actor. This lead to a binge watch once again this weekend of CLOY with my husband and daughter and while my husband found at times CLOY was very cheesy and a bit too far fetched, he still stayed up till 1am because he needed to know what was going to happen, which i was completely surprised by as my husband wouldn't normally be a rom com fan, but he enjoyed their acting so much and the main story that he needed to know. I don't think CLOY will be a big hit in Ireland cause people probably wouldn't give it a chance but i have been telling people all around me to watch it. Time will soon tell if it will make HB and SYJ worldwide stars!!

I agree. HB is the old-fashion and conservative type when it comes to female co-stars. You'll see how much he maintains the professional space when cameras are not rolling or even during interviews. But the sound is different whenever SYJ is around. He's bubbly, relaxed, laughs alot, laughs showing his teeth, gazes like there is no tomorrow, in short he is like a teenager in love hihihi

Shifting to a new fun and light topic, what do you think are HB and YJ's love language? I think HB's way of expressing live is through Acts of Service (Switching places to protect YJ in those many moments of TN interview, behind the scenes in CLOY where she never lets go of her so she won't be caught off balance, etc) and Quality Time (All those attention that he gives her during promos, interviews and press cons). I think YJ is more of words of affirmation (Complimenting YJ really well in those press cons and interviews and even in behind the scenes)

Their agencies confirmed rightaway during that time and what will they get out of that grocery incident? Their TN promotions have long been done and CLOY hasnt been offered to them during the grocery time so I think those news that you have saw are completely out of this world Dont lose hope and keep the ship sailing

1. Premier night he came. Of course,  Celebrities invite celebrities, to boost the movie and just as a friendly gesture. You will see on any movie premiere in this whole world the cast of the movie will invite their friends.

He’s there at the after party? as a VIP guess (the one who got invited) definately he’ll be there. If HB is my friend and he invite me for the premiere definately i won’t miss the after party. The best part of the party is the after party isn’t.

2. Food truck. Its the culture of SK celebrities, Sending a  food truck to their close celebrities friend when they filming new project.

And HB was sitting beside the other guy in the after party. HB even acknowledged the staff of thar show from the stage and said that he watched the drama too. It's highly UNUSUAL for actors to say it publicly specially if event is about their own movie/series so I am getting a husband/boyfriend supportive vibes in there or it could be his subtle way of saying 'Bro, I saw that movie and I'm cool with it. When companies change their logo, this is often a rebranding strategy. There are so many reasons why rebranding is necessary to a business. According to a business website:

So there are just some of the reasons why companies change their brand. In the last 3 logos used by V@ST, looks are identitcal but this new one is a breathe of fresh air. I just hope that this new move speaks about the direction of how the CEO envisions the growth of the company which could be influenced by a merger with someone who has the youthful and fresh vibes *Delulu mind*

Can anyone translate the opening scen of HB'S MEDIHEAL COMMERCIAL? I saw some conversations which says the opening line of HB in that commercial was "You are beautiful..." If we are going to use our delulu mind, it makes sense since the opening scene of YJ's commercial was when she was in this beautiful white dress fixing the flowers. Can you please translate the lines of HB in that commercial please?
