I have a feeling that they reach agreement with Dispatch not to let Dispatch reveal about them but later they will give Dispatch full access to cover about their relationship when they are ready to tell the world. (Eg : Song Song). The reason Dispatch did not exposed them is because the President is SHK Bestfriend. But once they announced, Dispatch posted all the 'evidence' they had.
It's possible they have a deal with dispatch. But i'm still 50:50 about this
Another possibility maybe they have contracts that forbid them going public about dating or marital status.
I'm the one who never understand the way k-entertainment works, why people would hate some celebrities just for dating or even married?
I also do not really like the idea if they really have a deal with dispatch. I feel like they are being threatened
I mean, we are dating and married because we want to love and be loved. Why this thing could be a very problematic issue in k-biz.
Actually when they confirmed to star in cloy, I was like "heol.. they gonna do this drama?" The dating rumor for sure would explode bigger after the drama ends. That's what i kept thinking all the time before cloy premiered on Dec 2019.
While watching CLOY, my theory shifted. There's a chance that CLOY was a PR strategy for them announcing their relationship or wedding news, even if we put dispatch out of the picture. Why i call this a pr strategy, maybe because they want their wedding news to be welcomed in a friendly vibe.
The way i see it, CLOY was a wild card, given the story also about north and south. The drama could've flopped, but they can still announce their relationship because people already watched and saw them as a couple in the drama (psychological aspect involved here).
Imo, this would be acceptable for many fans when the male and female lead turns out really dating in real life, no matter the rating going very bad or good.
The thing is, CLOY got massive global popularity around the world to the point where people keep searching and keep zooming every gestures they made
I think they didn't expect this attention from CLOY. And that's maybe the reason why both become MIA after cloy ended. Maybe they are waiting so the hype would go down and they will find the time to announce, when everything already settled down (finished contracts and schedules).
Well, at this rate, people just waiting the day the wedding news broke, when we can congratulate both of them
Anyway this is all my theory i keep it to myself. If anyone doesn't agree, its okay i rarely post here, but i always dilligently reading this thread everyday

ARe you all familiar with MBTI?
ENFP and INTJ are the best personaly match if you are Familiar with this... then you definitely get what i mean
Can someone pmease tell me what SYJ and HB MBTI.
CoZ I feel like they are the very definition of an ENFP and an INTJ perfect match.
and this is based on science... not just some astrology shizzz.
If ever they are not ENFP or INTJ then they are jyst perfect for each other
ENFPS_
are known to be intoverted EXTROVERTS. They are bubbly, weird, and fun to be with.
They are deep
They are hard to read when they treat people the same way so it is hard for people to distinguish their real mind.
They love jokes and games
They are very touchy
They love to tease and annoy people especially teasing the people they like
They are highly intelligent but they dont want people to know coz they just want them to know they are fun and easy going
Like deep conversation
There are many other attributes that leads this MBTI to YJ
can can give proofs to these.
INTJs
They are intoverts they like to have their personal space
They dont wanna be touched
They only like to be touched by people they like or interested with
They are touchy with people they like
They are very concerned but they do not show it
They are consistent with their action but change if something interest them.
They are highly intelligent and they want people to know
they are very serious... laughs hardly ever but when something is funny and likeable they laugh a lot
they love deep conversation
these atteibutes are the same w HB as well and can give definite proofs.
in psychology ENFPs and INTJs are soulmate.
like yin and yang. they bring out the best with each otherm
can someone please tell me their MBTI if ever hardcore shippers know.
this is really interesting insight if ever they share this MBTI analysis.
Oh in ep 1 bts u can see YJ their teasing HB
and HB just said stop annoying me... this is just perfect.
remember HB doesnt like to be touched but w YJ he is ok w
HB's friends said he's intelligent.
Yj likes deep conversations and sincerity
DISCLAIMER... im not saying that they are really ENFP and INTJ since there are no evidences of their MBTI tests.
Im just pointing out my instinct... on how i see through things.
if you wanna know yours... you can check it just google MBTI test... and ull be freaked out that it is really on point!
I thought i'm the only one crazy trying to analyze their personalities and hoping they will last until marriage
Based on HB's answers in most of his interviews, he's either INTP or INTJ. He does look like INTJ but we can't know for sure since we don't know his real personality as Kim Tae Pyung.
Tbh, SYJ is more difficult to read. She could easily pass as an extrovert due to her bubbly character. But i always think she's more introvert rather than extrovert. Many introverts will behave like an extrovert when surrounded by people and friends they are very comforfable with. I'm guessing she's INFP or ENFP.
When i was observing them in many interviews, i kept looking and hoping none of them got Sensing traits dominating in themselves
Call me funny, but i'm one of those who doesn't really agree with Intuitive/Sensing relationship. It might work for some couple but the efforts are just too much for me.
And thank God, HB and SYJ both seem to have the same Intuitive traits.
Well, i'm waiting for wedding news in the next 6 months

Just watched the last episode 2 days ago. I kept looking at the remaining minutes huhu i dont want this drama to end the legendary farewell scene at DMZ border also got me cried when SR screaming and running to RJH
If i'm not mistaken that's the first time SR finally said it out loud that she wanted RJH to stay, right?
I was actually kept wondering why the writer didn't make RJH and SR really fight together for their love, so they can live and growing old in some other place together..
Or maybe make RJH died so he can live in Switzerland with different identity. Well, i guess it will need more than 20 eps
A local brand in my country created this pin. The owner also watched this drama and drew SR with her finger heart but many people requested her to draw for RJH version too
I got mine today and just can not resist to share this cute pin here

Uhm i don't mean to offend anyone here
I love HB and SYJ and i am shipping them very much. I never joined any thread in soompi before crash landing on you but this couple made me do.
I just couldn't help to compare HB gestures between the media interviews since last year and the latest bts. And it's actually make me sad to see that HB looked like a normal friend/colleague or maybe he's tired with all the filming schedule. That's all. I don't have any intention to discourage this shipping thread. Indeed, i truly wish they are really dating.
If anyone feel offended, well then i apologize

I don't know if it's just me or anyone feel the same, but in some of the latest bts, HB seemed to keep a distance with YJ? I don't know how to find the right words. Keeping distance? Or trying to look like a normal colleague? Maybe because the dating rumor?
In the video above, during the reunion scene on eps 11, YJ told HB should look at her warmly. HB said no its not in the script. Although the script probably writes that JH should look at SR warmly.
I also noticed during the bts in NK restaurant where YJ got drunk and said "because i like it.." HB also looked like a normal colleague.
But in some of the earlier interviews and media rounds (Swoon, Netflix, etc), HB laughed and smiled a lot, and STARED A LOT at YJ to the point someone asked in previous page, does HB aware if his videos staring at YJ is EVERYWHERE??
Sigh, i guess it's really difficult living as public figures. They are literally under microscope

Wow. The realist in me goes... " do you guys remember what he checked out? Was there a grenade launcher?" I honestly can't remember. But couldn't he have shot the truck with it? And how many bullets did the pistol have? And how heavy the actual hag of weapons would have been?
Cos' you know... the details niggle at me. But I don't even know why I ask when their hair didn't blow while paragliding. And they could even converse. Even with Seri's super long hair NOT whipping around her head paragliding with him.
Actually RJH did ask for grenade launcher in epilogue scene on eps 6

In the Korean language, there is a level of language hierarchy that changes depending on who you're addressing and what their status is compared to yours. The language hierarchy is based on the Confucian relationship hierarchy of who owes what responsibility to whom, which also influences the titles that people use to address each other.
So, the hierarchy is a function of senior-junior relationships that are influenced by age. So an older colleague would use formal speech to his manager, even if the superior is much younger in age. However, out of respect for the junior colleague's age, the manager would probably use formal speech to his older colleague. Positions of authority also assumed a level of superiority, e.g. doctors, police, etc., regardless of who is older/younger.
Formal speech is the default way to address someone, unless you know them on a personal level AND the person being addressed is a peer or is junior in some way to the speaker. The exception to this is probably speaking to a child. An adult would not usually use formal language to a child. even if the adult does not know the child.
In terms of grammatical construct, Korean sentences usually have a subject, verb, and direct object. Unlike English, though, the verb tends to end the sentence and also contain a modifier indicating the level of formality of the speech. Though, there are a number of jokes about adding a "- yo" to the end of a sentence to turn it formal, in actuality, that's the simplest form of formal speech. Done properly, formal speech dictates word choices of both the subject and the verb as well as the participle ending.
There is a lot of contextual meaning with Korean speech, paramount of which is the level of formality being used. Especially, given some of the peculiarities of the Korean language, including that pronouns are very rarely used. Pronouns are considered informal to the point of being rude for the most part. When I was growing up, I never referred to my parents in the second person, for instance, even when I was speaking with them in English. Trying to find a parents' day card in English that did not say "I love you, Mother" or "You're the greatest Father" was pretty challenging. So, I used a lot of blank cards where I could write properly was good.
Hope this helps a little bit. I didn't want to continue to elaborate since this is relatively off topic for this thread, and may be boring for other readers. However, if you have any more specific questions, you are welcome to DM me, and I'll try to respond as I can.
Ah i see. I don't mean to post off topic here, because sometimes i got confused with CLOY english translation
I have to rewatch several scenes so i can understand the whole meaning.
Remember the so much talked scenes about seri said "i like it.." when she's drunk LOL
And the scene where JH shouted about destiny and coincidence i remember i was frowned, like huh?? What is he talking? then i read the comments explained that scene.
Instead of translating into one sentence that accurately convey the whole meaning, it seems the translator did translate the word literally one by one. Sorry if i'm wrong

Thanks, that's interesting. In the Spanish subs, Se Ri talks to RJH and his men informally all throughout while they talk to her formally, which gives you the impression that even in the face of difficult situation, Se Ri has maintained her bossy CEO self strutting around with some degree of superiority. It largely contrasts to some observations that Se Ri's personality in NK is weak and naive that they are not certain if it's poor acting from the side of SYJ or poor writing by the writer. Unfortunately these nuances are not captured in the English language that's why as I told @sussieh above I make an effort to watch CLOY the second time in Spanish subs.
Ah i also want to ask about the language. As non Korean, if i'm not mistaken, there are level of language hierarchy in Korean. This is also related with their level of age and seniority, no?
Every time i watch Korean dramas, sometimes i get confused, do they always use formal speech because it's considered rude to use informal in tv program or what? Or using informally allowed for someone really close like best friend and family? And not allowed to be used in public?
For example, mostly drama couple always call each other "ssi 씨" rather than "a 아 or ya 야"
Does it really make any big difference with the whole meaning of its sentence?
In English, we don't change the grammar right? We just switching the vocabs and find the more "polished" words depends on occasion. But i don't know how those things work in Korean grammar. Maybe different. Sorry if i ask too many

Annyeonggg, Indonesian fan here
This is my very first post in this site
All this time i'm lurking and reading all comments here lol.
Been itching to post but never did because i thought people already speculating how the ending would be
but when i read @corey post up there, i was like "FINALLEHHH!!"
Same with corey, the last few weeks i'm actually hoping the writer will make RJH character dies in NK, and live in another country with new identity. Imo, that's the most possible way for JH and SR to live together
Many people curious about the ending, but I'm actually more confused why the idea of JH death never come across, or maybe i missed the comments if someone already posted the idea
So yeah, i'm with corey

[OFFICIAL] Hyun Bin ❤️ Son Ye Jin (BinJin Couple)
in shippers' paradise
Posted
Allow me to add some things here
Someone earlier mentioned SYJ maybe ENFP and i replied on page 226, but its okay, let me copy-paste here. If you are familiar with MBTI, then it's easier for us to talk
"Based on HB's answers in most of his interviews, he's either INTP or INTJ.
I'm guessing she's INFP or ENFP."
I do think HB is definitely an introvert. By now, i think we can agree that HB is very comfortable with SYJ since we are seeing many sides of HB that never been seen before.
One thing about introverts, they show their true colors only when they are with inner circle (family or friend they are very comfortable). Which is clear as day with HB and SYJ
About HB choosing to be an actor, i'm actually pretty sure it's because he's an introvert then he was exactly sure he wanted to become an actor. I have to disagree about being a performer is not an introvert trait.
Some greatest actors in the world are actually introverts (Meryl Streep, Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, Heath Ledger). If we want some Korean names, i believe Hwang Jung Min is a great example of introvert actor. Ji Sung and Jo Jung Suk are also on the list
I remember in Swoon's Couch Talk, HB had to choose which characters he's played that very most like him. HB answered "a little bit of me is included in every single character i have played."
Fyi, acting is one of many ways for introverts to explore unknown personalities inside themselves and unleash their never-seen-before characters when acting different roles. This is also why i'm not sure if SYJ is an extrovert or introvert. She's more difficult to read
Being an actor is actually one-man-show job. It depends on your capability to brings out "another person" in you without confusing your real personality (Heath Ledger failed at this, thus resulted in his suicide).
I can relate to HB answers in swoon video since i also went into acting and theatre class for a few years. Introverts put high value on their me-time. And it's known to public that HB put boundaries between his actor persona as Hyun Bin and his real life as Kim Tae Pyung. Imho, only introverts are able to do that
Sorry if my post becomes too long and too complicated.
After all, HB and SYJ personalities do complement each other. So yes, we are waiting for good news
