Has anyone else missed the era of chulmin pd over the current one. Lately running man feels so eerily similar to how it felt pre-jsmysc. The over emphasis on storylines to drive the episode limiting the amount of natural charisma and wordplay there could be between the cast paired with the poor editing that makes you wonder if the storyline was worth sitting through. Even the greatest hits episodes have imo not been up to par and as far as a mystery goes for this episode it seems so poorly laid out for people to guess. The best mysteries are ones where you had all the info to know in front of you but couldnt see it to the very end, running man has been relying so much on mysteries but simply gets by on not showing the viewer enough of anything to guess until the big reveal at the end.
I agree 100%, I get that Bopil Pd is trying to give nostalgic vibes to the viewers by trying to recreate old episodes but it's really not doing it for me. I miss the natural interactions between the members, everything just seems so planned out, leaving no space for the members to even ad-lib or go back and forth with each other. The flow and editing of the recent episodes seems quite strange as well, the rules are complicated and compact. This episode was okay but I don't think I would rewatch something I usually always do, it lacked substance I was watching but I found myself getting distracted often.
I also feel like Bopil PD is heavily trying to cater to the international viewers as they think that the golden era of running man was when they did similar concepts as to the ones he is trying to emulate. Yet, with that said that style of variety show does not fit the current trend, hence why maybe the viewership in Korea is going down. I understand that it must be such a hard job to be a PD in such a long running show but I hope that this reminiscing concept is just being done to mark the 10 year anniversary and not something that continues to go on.
Chulmin PD got a lot of stick by a lot of international viewers for heavily relying on talking but I 100% prefer that over what we have seen in the last few episodes. The whole reason I watch the show is for the members literally I wouldn't even mind if they spent the majority of the episode just talking between each other that's why scenes like the ones in the bus are my favourite. Even the opening scenes have a completely different feel usually they would debrief, make fun of each other for all sorts but now it's like from the very first minute the games have begun. This whole focus on storylines just seems kind of old fashioned now maybe it's because I'm older now and my preference has changed. I miss Chulmin PD, I have nothing against Bopil PD but the episodes just feel very artificial now most of the time the members are acting as characters but imo they are the best when they are their candid selves. An episode that is filled with mysteries, with an over emphasis on planned storylines is fun every now and then I guess, but it looses its appeal and fun factor when it's done literally every week.

This really could be me just looking into it but does anyone else find this just a little bit suspicious. I feel like at first Haha went to put his bag down till this point this is just a normal thing that anyone would do.
The positioning of the bag on Somin's book however made me wonder just a little, the way it's placed perfectly on top as if he saw it and tried to hide it.
There is nothing wrong with Somin's book being out there as Haha himself used it in his YouTube video twice, which was an innocent act and naturally Somin most likely gifted a copy to all the members.
So the question is why Haha decided to place the bag in a way where the whole thing was covered as something that should not have been caught on camera. Unless something else is going on like Haha knowing something more that is going on between Kookmin
. Also in the end when Kim Soomi is leaving and they try to leave with her he picks up his jacket in the motion that he's getting ready to leave but the bag remains where it is.
Take all of this with a pinch of salt maybe my shippers mind is just being over excited again plus me trying to play Sherlock

Jongkook seems to be aware of Somin's efforts to dress up or when she makes changes, "Sominie is pretty today", "Somine dressed up today", complimenting her lakers sweater "it's pretty" and even in this episode where he says that her outfit was similar to Twice's. He mentioned it first when Somin had dyed her hair saying she looked like a Russian women. This to me is literally just the sweetest, I just find it so adorable the way he does this

We can see here that Han Sunhwa and Kim Yoojoung's teams haven't formed yet............interesting
. So does this mean it could have been Jongkook's choice rather than them being put together by default. I wish that's the case, it would not be the first time where Jongkook chooses Somin first.
In the episode Tears of Yondu, Jongkook had first choice out of everyone and chose Somin whilst saying "uri sominie who has a book coming out soon". I just want to fast forward to Sunday so we can see

I really just can't get over the way Jongkook looks at Somin, that is one of my favourite things about both of them is they way they look at each other, no words are even needed to explain anything further. The look at 1.28 really does something to me, too many feels

There was a little moment in the car, did anyone else hear? Somin had the hint card and she said she would give it in the order of the members that called her the most ( 13:47). JK then glances at her, I could be delusional but as if he's expecting it to be him. Somin then gives it to Haha, and you hear JK saying "you gave it to Haha?" In a way that sounds like he was taken aback and slightly disappointed that he wasn't chosen, this is just my take. But check it out guys

As always I read the thread before I watch the episode and I saw that that it was said that Somin texts him "are you sleeping", I was keeping an extra keen eye out for that part but it was not directly said. But despite that, Jongkook did however say it with conviction as if he's also been on the receiving end "its true these are all things that Somin does" for me this part looked less like he was repeating Sechan's words, as he could've have said " Somin does all these things TO Sechan" That last comment he made was quite telling.

And thanks KJK for taking care of her as always. He endure lot of hate too so he must know what she's going through. Especially one of the reason is their closeness.
Btw, I'm blocking one accounts that keep showing fake kindness for JSM. I don't know if I'm just being sensitive or not but the captions always have double meaning that for me look like it disregard JSM or the closeness of JSM and KJK. I'm being curious sometimes of what else those people want to say about JK and SM but I will be mad and have the urge to leave a comment but I know it's only a waste of my time. So better have no knowledge of their existence
I think I know what account you are talking about, it's infamous for giving backhanded compliments, double meanings, justification anytime something doesn't go their way, victim blaming, indirecting and insecurity in their ship. I can't stand their account but it always pops up on my insta and everytime I read their captions, it literally leaves me baffled, frustrated, even confused as to how one can have such thoughts.

@ellieinthesky on the Wikipedia page it's says that Lee Jong Suk is the guest but from what I know he is currently in the army and will be released early next year. That's the only Lee Jong Suk I know but it could also be someone else. I guess we just have to wait and see but I really hope that sominie can't make it back for Ep 502 *fingers crossed*

And proceeds to help him and link arms

I have seen the bold approach before and the fans have become scary. That is why Somin's fans gave up that approach. They go quietly. Jihyo wasn't at fault but she involved in it because the posts have her in it. Somin's fans have send a lot samples and pictures to her agency. They finally said the agency is not helping at all. So please be careful because it will continue the cycle of revenge. It will also make Somin a scapegoat again. It gets quite ugly and confusing. There is a rise on anti Jihyo fan IG and it became worse. To expose them could bring misunderstanding that there are a Somin fans hating on someone. This is the path I am afraid of though. If I wanted to be positive, we can try. If you want to take more bold action, you can try. Lets not get into hate and revenge territory.
Just be careful when taking bold approach. Tread this path carefully and don't let it get to your mind and nerves. If you truly can make it work, you can.
I think you misunderstood slightly, I'm not saying Jihyo will be dragged in but instead just highlighting the actions of the antis not in a vengeful way at all, for example like this.

I admire your level of tolerance but I don't think this is something that should be done. The reason being that having gone three years seeing the abuse that somin has had to go through from accusing her of engaging in sexual activities with Pds, to paying sbs for her awards, to telling her they want her to die, kill herself, to even recently finding happiness in her health being compromised. This is just what she had to go through from the top of my head but in reality there is so much more, I myself could never stoop to their and go say something bad about SJH or go comment hate on her insta. I agree with @TaengTaengoo on exposing them rather than playing nice with them, quite frankly they do not deserve our kindness. It is like we will be praising them for their toxicity, I get the phrase kill them with kindness, yet in this situation I don't think it's a suitable method. Instead, mass reporting, calling them out on big Somin fan accounts, even if they don't see what they are doing wrong people need to know that what they are doing is wrong.
I've always had a reassuring factor that made me feel better on Somin's behalf and that was knowing the K-netz's love for her but there was always a wish I had and that was Koreans seeing the harassment that Somin has had to put up with. After Wookmin posted that DM on his story with the caption " I get too many of these" I did not expect for there to be such a reaction from k-netz but I am so glad and relieved that finally after three years, the dark side of the anits was put to light. And now, we can rejoice in this but still we need to put even more exposure on them.

Exactly! The point he mentions in the end, SJH fans quite literally shoot themselves in the foot because they are bringing more attention to Jihyo and any rational person can see that somin contributes more.

Yes I'm pretty sure he did, I've checked so many times but I wasn't sure so it's nice to see someone else realise it aswell
