Based on the relationship chart on the first page, are they really going to pair Taealha and Eunseom?

I don't know Korean, what does it say?

After turning himself in so he could be in the situation, the chilly gaze in his eyes and the slight smile on Ta Gon’s face hints at something interesting and unexpected to come. Why genius strategist Ta Gon put himself in this moment and how it plays into his big picture will be revealed in the upcoming episode.

He is such a sneaky bastard :D Till now he has been the most intriguing character imo. He is creating a big chaos and is gonna thrive on it for sometime. Eunseome isn't ready to take him down just yet.

  3. I really liked this episode.:)

What Wahan tribe is going through is just heart-wrenching and sadly their situation is not going to change for the better anytime soon.

The conversation between Eunseome and that girl in the end was so sad... Poor boy he is so lonely :tears:

Taealha is playing a very dangerous game. It seems like she has chosen Tagon over his father but if Tagon ends up falling for Tanya then I think she will surely turn her back on him esp after years of keeping Eunseome's brother safe for Tagon at such a great risk.

It's obvious that Tagon has been planning to overthrow his father for years and with the support of Taealha, Daekan and commonfolk his success is certain. Hopefully they'll tell us more about his childhood. We've seen him as a teenager and I'm curious to know how he was as a child.

I think this episode was a good set-up for the future power struggles between the clans and also Tagon's face off with his father.

I agreed there was so much potential about their story. I still can't get over them especially Ragaz...he was such a scene stealer. I found the Instagram of the actor that played Ragaz ( @teoyoo) and a lot of people seems to feel the same way. I hope that maybe as the story go along they will show us some flashbacks of them. Or that they will see how popular the couple is and work on a special episode about them during the break.

Agreed. I'm sure Itzrub will be awesome as well. So excited for his reappearance.

Im hoping that not all of the  Neanthals were there and alot more survived so their race can continue.

We know two kids survived but whether they are still alive who knows and would need a female to continue the race.

I can't wait to know whether Taealha is a Neanthal or not. I hope she is because that would make everything much more interesting.

Quite curious if the synopsis about her is right and why did they choose if so,to reveal it and not make it a grand suprise...I would do so!

If true it's definitely one of the biggest twists of the story.

The fight between brothers seems inevitable unfortunately. :(

Did Hitler go to war out of desperation? They were not desperate they were greedy for the land the Neanthals had, i dont think it was clear that starvation was a real issue.

We have a dialogue that makes it clear that the starvation was indeed a real issue for them:

    - "How are we going to fight against them? They're monsters"
    - "We have no other option. without The Plains of the Moon, half of the people in Arthdal will starve to death."

And yes they were also greedy that's why they didn't stop after their victory but the reason they decided to start a war with a tribe much more powerful than them was not greed. Ragaz singlehandedly took out dozens of their warriors. A whole tribe of Neanthals would've wiped them out in like a week? Maybe less? And they were aware of it. that's why they first tried to make a deal and didn't want to fight them... because for them Neanthals were monsters and they were truly afraid of them.

Let´s say the Neanthal accepted the offer. They would have used the land to empower themselves and the moment they got a chance to get rid of the Neanthal they would have done so.

Agreed. But the starvation was a real issue for them. I've explained my point above.

If they attacked the neanthal  because of desperation to not starve then what is the excuse to attack the people of Wahan tribe?

Greed. They made it clear in the meeting. This argument is only about the reason behind their first attack on Neanthals not their other invasions.

As I've said before I'm not trying to justify their actions or the genocide they committed. They are greedy and immoral and they will pay for it. But the issue of starvation was real and we have proof for it.

If they were starving, why would they propose the deal to the Neanthals? They offered food which shows that they were not starving. The leader refused by saying that they wouldn’t eat these things.  Hitler used the tactics (need of land, surpopulation)  in order to conquer the east

    - "beans... barely... mugwort and garlic. What are these?"

    - "cultivation and agriculture. Your formidable power and our skills. Your fertile land, and the wisdom and civilization of Arthdal"

They wanted to show their skills in farming to persuade Neanthals to accept their offer since they didn't know how to farm. So they were offering their skills (not their food) in exchange of their fertile land.

They knew they had no chance against Neanthals and yet they were ready to go to war with them. Why would they do that if not out of desperation?

Edit: I'm not trying to justify their actions and the genocide they committed (they are not justifiable) but I think it was clear that starvation was a real issue for them and not just an excuse.

I dont think that is true at all if they didnt kill people randomly they would have starved to death? They are just greedy and want more and more what they have is never enough.

    - "How are we going to fight against them? They're monsters"

    - "We have no other option. without The Plains of the Moon, half of the people in Arthdal will starve to death."

So they started the war because they were desperate and Neanthals refused their offer. But of course after the victory they became greedy and now they keep wanting more.

..Tagon has one porpose in his mind and that is to become the King of Arthal and because deep down he thinks he is way above others and deserves to be the one to lead it

Well to be fair he is way above others and deserves to be their leader. If it wasn't for him they would've all starved to death years ago. They owe their life and safety to him. As GRRM (GOT creator) once said: "A villain is a hero of the other side"

Plain simple he is a scary man and all he does is for a calculated reason(what may seem nice is actually not)

I agree. His father is probably scared of him too and that's why he tries his best to keep him away and busy all the time.

I think the writers have done a great job with Tagon, he is such well-written and interesting villain.

I think she's the type who wouldn't mind betraying anyone to satisfy her needs.

Agreed. Maybe Tagon? esp if he ends up falling for Tanya after everything she did for him.

What I'm most looking forward in this drama is the two female characters. I like that they are strong characters as well. I always like when females are portrayed strong rather than the typical damsel in distress.

Me too. :)Their interactions should be interesting.

She certainly is. We have to remember that she is described as an ambitious character, hunger for power. She even said from the teasers, she decides who gets to be the king.

Interesting. I've watched her teasers but I don't understand Korean unfortunately. Anything else about her? although we haven't seen much of her for some unknown reasons she has become my favorite character :D I hope they don't make her evil like Tagon, one evil main character (out of four) is enough imo. I think keeping her gray and ambiguous is more interesting.

Do you think the Wikipedia info is legit and she is the last remaining Neanthal(keeping her identity secret)?

...I also doubt EunSeom would choose to fight alongside Tagon, not after everyting he did and if he finds out he was the one who killed his Father even more...

I meant forced allies or something like that. If Tagon turns on his father and other leaders which I think is likely then maybe they'll fight on the same side for some time although their goals will definitely be different and of course it's obvious that the final show down will be between these two.

Its a powerful fighter he can use to become king i think this is the reason unless there is some other reason we find out later.

But the boy is a wild card. Right now he thinks of Tagon as his father but what if he finds out about the truth? And it's very likely considering Tagon wiping out Neanthals and Igutus is no secret. He could very well turn on Tagon and seek revenge. keeping the boy alive and using him as a weapon is too risky esp for a smart person like Tagon. But I agree that it seems to be the reason.

I doubt that Eunseom will be an ally for a short time because TY has been taken by Tagon's trupps. Tagon might have obeyed his father's orders but he was never opposed to his father's plan. Deep down, he was the one who had the idea how to eradicate the Neanthals. He has been helping his father for his own interest. He is not just the puppet of his father, quite far from it. In fact, he knows exactly what he wants. He is just buying time and has already created his own army (Daekon)

It's just a wishful thinking on my part :D

Btw, They've made it clear that Tagon is the villain but what about Taealha? Is she a villain too or not? Right now they are on the same side but I think it would be interesting if she has a different path ahead of her.

  14. Tagon is such a perfect villain... Handsome, charming, cunning and charismatic... a great nemesis for Eunseom. And although I'm eager for their face off I would like it if for at least a short period of time they become allies against Tagon's father and other leaders.

Btw I'm so curious about why Tagon decided to keep Eunseom's brother alive at such a great risk. I can't think of a good reason.

What do you think? Is this legit? If it is then she is hiding her true identity but how? She is such an intriguing character I want to know more about her.
