  1. I feel like Lee So-Yeon probably isn't used to playing morally grey/slowly villainous characters, usually she's fantastic as villains or good FLs. In Miss M she was supposed to be cold-hearted and detached. She played that part well, and in Korea people praised her. The villain, however, wasn't praised as much. And I prefer her as a villain, she was great in Temptation of an Angel. I think she played a villain in a sageuk and was good there, too. Agreed. She has a child?
  2. But if she didn't stand up for herself, it'd be an issue, no? I liked her response. Was it mean? Yes. Was it deserved? Somewhat. Her honoring her stepmother is also out of respect, which, as we know, is crucial in Korean culture- the autistic stepbrother has nothing to do with it. He did nothing wrong except... be disabled? Also, the grandmother is a nasty woman, point blank period. Yes, she's intelligent, but she comes off as a bully. Her daughter is funny but a brat. I enjoy the art MIL, but she is quite cold. No words on Yi-Chul... he's a RickRoll'D. JC is interesting, but I don't think he'll cheat, he'll likely betray HW somehow. I'm also looking forward to see what the ML (the lead in A Place From The Sun) does. They may be setting HW up to be morally grey or even villainous herself. Which I'd like to see, either way. DE/HJ is just as interesting, her villainy comes from a place of hurt. But her tricks seem very, very childish in my opinion. The real villain here is HW and HJ's dad. He can die and I'd be happy. Deadbeat.
  3. I agree. If I were in DJ's shoes, I'd do a DNA test. The only problem is, how can she prove that the babies were switched now SY is gone? And it wouldn't be possible to do a DNA test anyway, SY is dead. Just putting two and two together for a conclusion won't do much... she needs proof, too.
  4. I'm patient. I've watched 120 episode dramas before, she's coming closer to figuring out that SY wasn't her daughter. And she may use SC for her revenge.
  5. I'm surprised you haven't watched Temptation of Wife, chingu- it's the blueprint for all the dailies we have today! And it's very famous internationally as well, there was a Filipino and a Chinese version. It's worth watching. Another one I recommend is Heaven's Promise with Lee Yu-Ri as the FL. I liked A Bird That Doesn't Sing/Cry and The Women's Room, both are older dailies. The first one was a tvN daily, the second was on SBS. To stay on topic... where does the ML come in? Do-Eun's tricks are very childish. She comes off as a child throwing a tantrum. Glad the gallery MIL divorced the chairman, though.
  6. ... Ooooopsie. Looks like I made the wrong ramen here. Forgive me chingu, I couldn't tell that was sarcasm. Autism, am I right?
  7. Shin Aeri from Temptation of Wife? I've seen a few with great villains... Eun Hee-Soo from The Women's Room was also great (she kinda dominated the daily, though...) Oh Hyun-Kyung's character (I forgot her name) in A Bird That Doesn't Sing, too. She was the lead, but still.
  8. I totally agree. She's not a very good or convincing villain. (The acting isn't good in my opinion.) Really only watching this for Lee So-Yeon and Jung Chan, and for the FL's revenge. Waiting for Oh Chang-Seok to show up, too...
  9. I like your wacky predictions. You were right about DJ marrying Chairman Wang. I won't lie, I'd love to see DJ become a villain like Hwang Ga-Heun/Go Eun-Jo did in Miss Monte-Cristo.
  10. I absolutely do not see this happening, as soapy as it is, I think it'd be too controversial for viewers. Unless they make DJ more morally grey somehow, and she seduces him to secure her place. SR may try to kill the chairman, but he ends up in a coma, maybe? I also don't see Noel doing that, she also needs to get her memories back and reunite with DJ. DJ may have an American identity somehow. Not sure yet.
  11. The ending theme for this episode reminds me of the theme song for "Temptation of Wife", "Can't Forgive" (Yong-seo Mot-hae) by Cha Soo-Kyung. But that twist though? I won't lie... I liked it. A lot.
  12. No... there are plenty of actresses who play villains in dailies. They could've easily casted anyone else, why they didn't... I didn't know. Yeah, I'm not liking her acting as the villainous SFL. She's much better in comedic roles. Lee Chaeyoung is quite good, the FL for this drama is great too as a villain. Park Hana as well.
  13. I'm just happy that the drowning scene finally happened... loved that cliffhanger. Now I hope to see a vengeful, resurrected DJ.
  14. Hye-Won is very obviously the FL, while Do-Eun is the SFL. I think it's obvious, unless they're going for a morally grey/villainous FL vs a villainous SFL. The MLs are harder to decide. Maybe the writer's trying to break stereotypes by not writing them as caricatures.
  15. I've started watching it and it's basically Hye-Won's fault that Hye-Ji/Do-Eun is the way she is... wow.
  16. The writer of both those dailies got fired. So no Mother In A Veil to complete the trilogy. JK's actress is good, but not a good fit to play an FL.
  17. Nothing tops Woman In A Veil for me. Or Man In A Veil... there are few dailies I've disliked aside from those two. (I didn't watch Love Twist or A Place In The Sun- started the latter though.) Wouldn't touch them with a 10-meter pole. I couldn't even handle this one and dropped it early. Stayed here to lightly moderate and watch everyone else's reactions/recaps. And ratings.
